BON CHEW & COWCOW

to  Nature Furryday

hosted by da LLB-Crew,

and

…and we start with da  photo of the week.  It is hot and hotter here and sadly we have to deal with a lot of fires. We felt with the people who were at the  Dune du Pilat to have a good time at the camp ground and who had to leave the place what is a burnt wasteland now… The tv  interview was heartbreaking about people who lost their base of life and all  that after 2 years of covid-trouble where all people had such hard times…   we feel for all who are still  in the fire area and we hope the firefighters can win the battle against the flames.  And we hope the police can solve the cases of arson and they find the evil doer(s), while  the  “experts” blamed the climate change, without knowing the facts like always…..

…on the other hand the heat helped the farmers to bring the grain in without much loss and damage, that is good , we will need lots of resources to help each other ….

..and it seems we will get many nuts this year, but we hope the nuts will not fall on our nuts

we also found a giant moth in our garden, it is a Buff-tip (Phalera bucephala) but sadly it was no longer alive …

…and with that cow who tried to stay cow-l in the heat we say: drink as much as you can to come through da day…

..and with a pink rose for Rosy we wish you a funny furryday and a

GOOD WEEKEND

  1. Wow, those fires are scary and ruin so much in a flash. We pray here for those dealing with fires and in other parts, terrible floods.

Good that the hay was harvested.
And that sure is huge moth!

Watch out for the nuts, boys and the nut cases, who are a lot worse than the tree ones.

  2. WFT Nobby says:

Nature, with help from humans has been unkind to many creatures this summer. But a glimpse of a Rose for Rosy always lifts the spirits.

  3. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

The high temperatures and fires are terrible. Most of the fires near us have been on moorland. People rush up there with barbecues to have their picnics and leave them behind still smouldering. Dangerous idiots!!

  4. Mother Earth is NOT HAPPY with the way we’ve treated her…..I can’t blame her! Be careful of flying nuts and moths and thirsty cows! Keep cool boys.

    Hugs, Teddy

Arsonists need to be caught and given strong sentences; during summer in OZ quite often it was discovered that a fireman was the culprit – creating work for their teams. Pyromania is a real thing. Sick minds. Sorry to hear that people lost homes.

yes, stay hydrated and hang cool! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  6. My GBGV Life says:

Thanks for the cow. Mom loves cows. The fires are so sad and very scary. It is the worst part about heat and a drought.

  7. MadSnapper says:

that temp on the thermometer is Scary and Sad.. Wow! CNN is on as I type this and showing the fires and floods here in USA, reading this while seeing that is heart breaking. all over our world is CRAZY right now, on the screen now is the area I spent the happiest 5 years of my childhood, under water from flash flooding, thousands homeless and 8 dead, but they are not done with that count. I am wondering if this instant thing of knowing every minute of every day what is happening in every country is the reason it seems worse than it did years ago. before the internet, and before 24 hour a day news, we would not know anything but what was happening to us. I mean people all over the world know we are getting a 5 day noisy roof replacement. HA HA on that to end on a better note

  8. Da Phenny and Nelly
It is just heart breaking to read about fires and that horrible heat many across the pond are experiencing. I love seeing hay bales and moo moos.
Here in NC we have so much humidity (I wish I could share our mositure) that each morning all out windows are covered in dew
Hugs and have a good weekend

  9. Lee and Phod says:

First, happy belated birthday dear Nelly! We have been very busy enjoying summer and not visiting as much as we should. It was almost that hot last week. This week is better. Try not to melt dear friends. Lee and Phod

  10. Yes, the fires are terrible here, too, especially out west. The climate seems to be enabling the evil “fire starters” to do as much damage as possible. May all the firefighters and others in the fires’ paths be safe.

  11. We have heat and fires too. Hope your area settles down soon. Protect those weims from falling nuts!

  12. We have been hearing about the fires in France. So terribly sad. Hopefully the firefighters can get a handle on them soon. Sadly we know all too well about such things. Your cow and rose look ‘pawfect.’ Have a great weekend.

  13. lapaylor says:

we have to cope with “wild fire season” here in Colorado every year. The rising heat contribute to them, so when an idiot lets a spark fly to dried out hot grasses there is a raging dangerous fire

  14. The extreme heat and the fires are awful for so many. We have them here too and it is so sad. Love that beautiful rose!

  15. Brian says:

  17. We saw your crazy heat wave and devastating fires on the news. It is so sad and scary for all the people involved. Mom and I said a prayer for it to end quickly and safely and to help the people and animals in the midst of it.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake
