I think we all saw the last great event for HRM and apart from seeing her horse and her two dogs, for me this was one of the most  touching moments… to see the letter her son Charles, now King Charles, wrote for her was touching and it triggered memories about another coffin and another letter… also written by a son … We think something found an end this day, what is gone and what never comes back…. and maybe the psychologist  who said the most people cried for themselves is right… we cry, because with Elizabeth II. a chapter of our own life is gone… and the time what comes now, will be different… and I’m not sure if I will like it… probably not, but I’m happy and proud that I lived during a time where the Qeen was THE QUEEN, no need to say a name or a word more, everybody knew who is the Queen, no matter if on the back of Emma, if in an old barbour coat and wellies, or sitting on her throne… it was THE QUEEN.  And I say thank you for being a part of may life since I was born… for being THE QUEEN.

and with a black kitty we show you da nature around our crib…

…and look what the mama found..

have you ever seen such a giant nut?

…sadly there was only one and we have no clue from where it came, because there was no nut tree near da giant nut…

and we think that was risky to eat it… but our mama is hardcore at that front….and we hope the luck of the chickens is with her…..

and with an orange rose for Rosy, we wish you a funny furryday and a

  1. I totally agree with you about The Queen.she was my Queen all my life till her death…and as a Canadian, she truly was MY Queen. I do think the world will never be the same…she sort of held it together with her charm and serene demeanor, yet she knew how to do her job.

    That is a humongous walnut!

  2. Oh yes…..there is only one forever Queen and she is now an Angel. We think that royal era is gone – time will tell. As for that HUGE GIANT nut – is it a walnut? On steroids????

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  3. WFT Nobby says:

Yes, the Queen was one constant throughout Gail whole life, and she says it does now feel like we’re entering a new era (and, with the new government in the UK, not a positive or nature-friendly one…)
We agree Pam and Teddy, that huge nut must be a walnut on steroids.

Oh my – what a wonderfurs post for FFF – an excellent reflection on how it is that one person was somehow just ‘always there’ and now… not. Thank you for this and for showing us your nuts… hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. We loved your Queen♥ and that is one giant nut! Is your mama going to bake with it?

  6. My GBGV Life says:

We think a squirrel brought that nut just to be mean and cause confusion because squirrels are simply, not nice. We are sad about the queen too. She was there forever and now nothing will ever be that way again which is a bit sad.

  7. I liked the queen too even though I’m not a Brit. She demanded respect without conflict. If only more leaders were like that. That is a big nut you found. Maybe from Jack and the Beanstalk?

  8. Oh boys and staff what absolutely beautiful words for everyone’s Queen.
I agree with every word that you so beautifully used too. that is a very pretty black kitty and a whopper nut.
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. Lulu: “The only other giant nut we’ve seen is the one they give away at the end of that ‘Battlebots’ show our Dada watches!”
Charlee: “I think that kitty got interrupted in the middle of hunting for mice …”

  10. OMD….that is one big walnut!!

Such a wonderful tribute to the Queen, and we agree that Queen is the only word needed.

Thanks so much for my Rosy rose!

  11. Brian says:

We watched all of the ceremonies for The Queen, sad. That is some big nut and a cute kitty!

  12. I’ve learned so much more about the Queen recently from all of the specials and ceremonies.

  13. Hi Guys! Great post! We loved the flowers (and the note) too! Our Mom’s Mom was living in England when Elizabeth was coronated and she (and Mom’s Dad) went to see the coronation parade. She says my Mom (Barb) kicked very hard when Elizabeth went by! I guess that means my Mom has been around as long as Elizabeth was Queen! Maybe that’s why she got up at 3 am and watched the whole thing on television. We LOVE your orange rose. The deer keep eating ours just before they pop open! Keep being awesome! Marv

  14. Yes, we too think the monarchy will be different. Charles is not his mother and we still grieve for the loss of Diana. But we hope for the best that all goes well with his reign and the two brothers are able to reconcile their differences. What a beautiful rose for sweet Rosy. Have a furbulous autumn weekend.

  15. The Queen was very special. Truly the end of an era.
We wouldn’t eat that nut either.

  16. Mary McNeil says:

What a wonderful tribute to The Queen. We Were Very Young when we watched her coronation on an old black and white TV (well, the TV wasn’t old THEN) From the time her Father became king she was never out of the public eye. She might not have been perfect but few could have done it any better.

  17. stanzebla says:

It’s true that she was The QUEEN and now things will be different. I still remember that she wore a hat with the stars of Europe when some strange politicians invented the Brexit. As far as that nut goes, it’s probably one of the nuts from “Three Gifts for Cinderella” a Czechoslovak/East German fairy-tale film the Germans, including me, love very much. If the mama tries to eat it a nice ball gown will come out and you’ll step on her train wherever she goes.

  18. That’s such a lovely tribute to the Queen. We bet a squirrel was trying to bury that nut and then realized he would have to dig too big of a hole and gave up. BOL!

  19. A lovely memorial to the Queen. I heard the note said “It may have taken 75 years,but I win!{

  20. Aunty Katty wee two agree with what you rote about THE Queen…..shee was allwayss ‘there’……

  21. Lee and Phod says:

What would taste better, that walnut or the cat. Asking for a friend.

  22. It is sad indeed that the legends cannot live forever, nor, do we think, would wish to. Umm, what is the luck of the chickens? We never heard that before. XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley

  23. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

That is a lovely tribute to The Queen. She has always been there and is missed very much.
