BON CHEW & COWCOW
and welcome to a new epawsode of our funny cooking contest… and together with da CANADIAN CATS, we present you today:
ONE SHEET MEAL
….aaaaah baaah da nelly it says sheet and not … well ya know..
…we make something special today: BALSAMIC &HONEY VEGGIES
you need: veggies …. potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini or whatever you like. Balsamic Vinegar, Honey, some garlic powder, pepper, salt and if you like thyme&oregano, or a provencal herb mix…
…and now we eat everything directly from da sheet right?
…noooo dude…. we furst prepare da veggies and cut them in pieces…
… arrange them on da sheet…while we mix da vinegar, da spices and da honey in a bowl… the original recipe calls for a barrel of vinegar , but we decided that a cup is enough, so we mixed only enough to wet all da veggies on da sheet…
…butt now we eat all things, right?
…noooooo! we use da marinade to drown all that veggie stuff with it…
…and now we don’t eat it butt throw it in the oven, preheated at full power….
…and while we wait, we prepare a yogurt sauce, because it can become a dry playground after 40 minutes in the oven…
…if you want you can crumble some feta cheese over your meal, or mozzarella pieces, or just a yogurt dressing, we prepared it with provencal herbs , but you can also use the dressing you prefer…
….viola… ready… the potatoes are soft now and the tomatoes are mash… you can use the grill of your oven for the last minutes if you like it more roasted, butt watch it or you get coals …
…so now some splashes of da yogurt dressing… and now…. DIG IN!
…and ignore the starving looks of your hardworking pups you ungrateful people you….
… and don’t offer your poor pups a place at da table…
…next month we cook dog stuff that’s for sure… yep it’s clear…
HAVE A YUMMY WEDNESDAY ALL
…and last butt definitely not least….

I’m late, I’m late for a very impawtant date! I promised to write here… one of my father’s fave things that I make is an allinonepan roasties meal;
1 med potato per person (p/p)
1 med sweet potato p/p
1 parsnip p/p
1 carrot p/p
1 slice/lump of pumpkin/squash p/p
2 vege sausages (Cauldron or Linda McCartney or similar) p/p
1 cup of Bisto gravy p/p (it’s made with barley, not meat!)
some fresh rosemary and/or thyme or other herbs of choice
1 cup of olive oil
1 dessertspoon of Vegetable stock powder (Marigold or Massel or similar)
Pre-heat oven to 190’C
peel/wash the veg and chop into quarters and place in sheet tin.
cover with the oil and sprinkle with the herbs and stock powder then stir around to ensure fully coated. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove to turn the veg over and to add the sausages.
Bake a further 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Bisto (or similar gravy powder) and serve piping hot!
hugs and wags, YAM xx
