Yesterday we had our going-away party, then Bashful left my crib and rolled home. I was so sad! Now I’m alone again in my crib. Like a spider in a cellar.

We had a lot of fun together, I’m some wiser now, because I can speak stonish . I liked the idea to meet one of my bloggy-friends in “pawson” or “stone-on-one” and I wish I could meet more of peeps&pets I love and which I only know from pictures or words. Sadly the world is a little larger than my kraal and the airline-policies are not really pet-friendly. Butt who knows sometimes they will change their minds, at the latest when they notice that they can make a lot of wonga with fourlegged passengers who wants to travel first class and not in the cargo area. A lot of Hotels and Restaurants became more pet-friendly, because they learnt that it is better to hear some barks or meows , than to hear only the echoing and reechoing of the wind in empty rooms. Even in gambling casinos dogs are welcome and since I read this I work on a new card counting strategy – but please keep the secret.

That’s anyway a thingy, I can’t understand: I’m welcome in bourgee stores and ritzy places, not that my staff would go to this places with me, they are not arsed to work till the end of their life in a coal-mine for the indemnity, but notional we could. Otherwise I’m NOT allowed in junk-stores or discounters… maybe they are afraid I could claim damages?

So yesterday we had our party with a lot of homebrewed booze. I hope we will not get stone-blind hehehe.
As we were in a fix, because our bottles were empty, we sang Georgia on my mind and Bashful became homesick, because he missed Bacon and Rocky, the Purr-Things and the staff of the Hotel Thompson and even Wallyworld. I hope he will have a good journey and this time the movie of the airline is not the same boring tear-jerker. Butt I’m afraid, when you have to travel with La Poste they will show you either The Postman or Post Grade – I think it’s better to sleep …

Aww Easy. I know the little fellow had such a great a wonderful time. The memories that he brings home will be with him forever. I can’t thank you enough for taking the little guy for his vacation. He’s always wanted to travel and you were gracious to take him as your own. I’m sure he will rock our ears off on the things you did that you couldn’t post. I only wish I could have come. Well Easy, it sounds like you and Bashful had a wonderful and fun visit and your “farewell party” certainly sent him back home in style. I know you gave him a lot of great memories to share with his family – you were a wonderful host!

Easy what a great hot you were for Bashful..such good times and yes there should be more friendly folk around animals…we flew home today and sat next to a lady whose doggie was in the cargo..she flies free with Qantas because apparently she is hand luggage ???? we saw her when we got off the plane ..she was in the Special Baggage area and was most impressed to see her person..does this every week…she may know Bashful!! Maybe you need your own pet rock too? I’m always sad if I see the “dogs not allowed” signs – but who knows maybe that’s for our protection? I bet they have bad food and we could get belly aches :o)
What a fun visit with your friend and hopeless he has a safe trip home. Hopefully someone will just show up again for you to enjoy and entertain. As you say we are just to far and way too long a swim 🙂

I think dogs and other pets should have their own extra-class or top-class in airplanes, trains, in restaurants and hotels! And there should be 10-stars hotels and restaurants and VIP-VIP-VIP-classes where no humans are allowed except for as staff members! Then you and Bashful and many other blog-friends could meet each other many times in a year!
That would be a wonderful world. I always hope for some good things for peeps with pets :o)
