BON CHEW & COWCOW,

da last week we started to our great mission… to normandy…

… where we met someone at the beach….

it was JOAnn from sandspringchesapeakes.com …. the mama of da famous Gambler!!!

she came with a super nice friend and chesapeake mom and  her friends  fabulous niece and the cutest kids of slice earth

da phenny started a storm on the beach…

da nelly pondered about some mischief furst…

and look what JOAnn had for us…..

…isn’t that the best gift ever? now the mama can start her f*ckery business with the best equipment…

it was a long journey….

through construction grounds

and roads what looked like a mouse hole….

along this famous church…till we came to Colleville sur mer.

but it was so so worth the time… we met such wonderful friends who came all da long way from da US and we were there to see this place what has such a BIG history. We wish all people could be there for a moment… it brings your feet back to the ground and to be close to those who fought for freedom and who won it back for us gives a lot of courage back to master this difficult times.

and with this post we say thank you again to the men and women and to the animals  who brought freedom and peace to our world. And we hope all the good people around us  are strong enough to keep this peace and our freedom….

HAVE A TREMENDOUS TUESDAY ALL

  1. What a wonderful trip you made to an amazing place to meet some super good friends. Even though it was a long journey we know it was worth it to enjoy a sunny day and have a lot of fun. We’ll be looking for some of those “gifts” you got decorating future posts!

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

OH, my word – I teared up. I have such an appreciation of Remembrance and have been watching one of my fave YTubers visiting various such places on the eastern side. I love that France has so many markers to honour those times and remind us – and also educate those who knew nothing of them. You surely did have a wonderfurs trip, for that and for meeting peeps from USA!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Great – loved the “Mouse Hole”and that was a really interesting church – don’t know about famous but very interesting. Tanks you very much :o)

  6. That’s so cool that you were able to get together from friends from across the pond. May freedom and peace continue to spread throughout the world.

Looks like a super day. I envy your mama, those gifts are awesome. I love especially the cake decoration cup. We live in Beaumont-le-Roger now btw. That’s in Eure, kind of the other side of Normandy. But Disa is a difficult dog and prefers to be alone with us and with as many cats as possible. So I don’t know if she’d like you.

  8. I can’t express enough thanks for you and mark to travel that far to see me. It was the most wonderful day. You two are the best peeps ever and wish we had more time together. You are so true, everyone needs to make a trip to Normandy to feel the impact those young men made. It’s heartbreaking and they are the true heroes and so brave. I wish you much success in your fuckery business. Xoxoxox

How fun to have JoAnn come and visit you boys and your parents! One of her puppies is in Olivia’s agility class. It can be a small world. Glad you had a good road trip and everyone had fun!

  10. What a great meet-up with friends and the gifts couldn’t be more perfect!

  11. Meeting up with fellow bloggers is wonderful. I’ve been lucky enough to do that twice. Love your gifts! I feel some cakes coming on!

  12. OMDs I’d say I was speechless but that would not true so let me just say I know with all my heart the glee you all felt when you met in the furs and person friends you have known thru the blogs. Especially at such a special place!! Da Best felling ever like we had in June 2016 at the B.A.R.
Now you are 1 step closer to opening your bakery you have a name. What absolutely wonderful greeting gifts.
    Hugs Cecilia

    • yes… the BAT was in my mind too… it is like a little miracle to see that the people behnd the blogs really exist LOL

      • Yes indeed and I had to restrain myself from running up to smooch on the dogs since they were probably told to avoid crazy ladies from NC.
It was so hard not to hug them right from the start. But we all had a proper goodbye
        Hugs cecilia

I followed the link to visit and read about Guilty and my eyes filled with tears because even though this was my first visit, the post hurt my heart and i read through the first 10 posts and those Chespeakes captured my heart. Just like you two have captured my heart. I can’t even imagine the feeling of standing in Normandy. I have only seen it in movies and story’s from my youth. Your friend is the perfect gift giver, everything she gave you is YOUR Mama..

    • it is special to be there… sadly the most people have it on their list, watch it, have fun and move on… but we cared, there was an former soldier with us, she knows what it means to fight in a foreign country and to be thousands of miles away from family…..

  14. It is a great getaway! Alaways nice to meet friends. Historically great trip! Lovely, heartfelt thoughts at the end… very moving.

  15. What a super trip and so nice to meet friends too.

  16. Java Bean: “Wow, that’s a really multipurpose word you’ve got there …”
Lulu: “Our Dada says that word can be applied to those folks who are in such a big hurry to support politicians who would bring us back to the kind of situation we were in when Normandy happened all those years ago!”

  17. How pawsome to meet friends, have an adventure AND get so many pawsomely fun pressies!!

  23. What a wonderful way to have a real purpose in going on a travel trip.
Imagine standing there on the same soil where freedom was fought for and won, though at a way too high price.
It is an emotional time to be in a place like that…no matter what country you are in, I was in Groesbeek once, same kind of feelings. (Canadian soldiers who were trying to free that area in The Netherlands, My parents lived very close to that place…)

Its always fun to meet blogging friends in ‘the real’! You sure got plenty of fun and very personalized gifts. Imagine the ruckus it would be if you had a business of baked goods with that name…LOL,LOL!

  24. Such excellent gifts from excellent friends. What a wonderful get-together at an amazing and historic place. 🇫🇷 🇺🇸

That was such a wonderful post boys, friends and heros are terrific!

  26. That area is so full of memories. My father-in-law landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day (and survived, thankfully) so when we visited some years ago, it had special meaning.

  30. If the allies had the two of you leading the charge the war would be over in minutes.
