Where to begin? Well maybe with the smart plan of some humans to downgrade a little and dismissing some contracts we don’t need, like the landline and making new contracts what had to start june 1st…. who could know that they cut off all things immediately? and who could know that the last internet cafe closed in 2018? so we sat in the bucket, till the rescue-mission was arranged and Ness came to see if we are still alive… THANKS AGAIN to ya all….

…so we think we will tell ya what happened after the internet, the phones an all connection to civilization said bye…

the mama  started with doing things she always wanted to do, but never had time for it…..

like taking photos of all shoes  and to print  them and stick them on the boxes, so you know what’s inside …. can ya feel da black despair what comes up when humans start to do SUCH! things?  can ya?… we would like to screm GET A LIFE! but we are dogs and busy with other things…

for this useless work she neede one whole day, while we needed only some minutes to rip something apart… but that was just the first day without being hermits nd also the day we thought after all  tomorrow is a new day… thanks Scarlett o’Hara… that’s true, but it wasn’t a good day because there were some changes in our crib and together with being disconnected that had a very weird and deep impact…..

so stay tuned how the things became moe thrilling and how we removes all spiky and sharp things….

That was nice of the mama to label all her shoe boxes so now you guys will be able to finds the most precious/expensive/chewable footwear more quickly…

  2. Well the official shoe box closet looks quite organized but more importantly, it looks like the Mama has no more room for shoe buying! We sure missed you all but thank heavens Virginia had a friend who could come and check on you to make sure you were OK. We’re anxious to hear about the rest of your “out of touch time” while your communication devices were re-worked. Did Dad do any DIY projects while you were out of touch? If so, I hope he has all his fingers!

    Hugs, Teddy

Struth, it must have felt like dropping off the edge of the earth – you know, if it were flat or had an edge like a cliff… but we are sooo glad you are back and the mama can be saved from labelling anything else. Now… do I foresee a hedgehog story??? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. My GBGV Life says:

Thankfully Mom has a hot spot on her phone, so if home internet goes out, we can still be online and if things really get bad we could go to the library or McDonalds or somewhere for free WiFi. Hope you got everything straightened out.

  5. This could take a long time to explain. Glad the shoes are all in a row at least!

  6. Charles Huss says:

What did humans do before the internet? We had something similar happen in 2009 when we moved to Myrtle Beach. I scheduled the internet to be turned off on a certain date, which they did, but they turned off my email right away and I needed the email for important moving-related communications and other things. I tried to get it back but it was too late.

  7. MadSnapper says:

I love to do cliffhanger posts but do not like to read them, now I may not sleep waiting to see why the sharp things went away. just how many shoes does da mama have? this is the major question in my mind. them I thought I could show my shoes, but then I thought I would have to clean up where they are, not ready for inspection.
I can not IMAGINE all the phone/internet/tv going away. ours is all connected and I thank you for sharing the disaster because I am about to do the same with ours. I don’t have enough words to say how much I missed you guys. welcome back and pleas do not cancel anything again. thank you thank you to Virginia and Ness

  8. The shoe closets look to be in shipshape order! Now it’s time to get outside and have some fun!

  9. Our Mom loves what your Mama did with the shoe boxes, and now is scheming how to do such things here. Just so she doesn’t decide to put US in the closet with picture labels on us! We all can’t wait to see what your Mama did next! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia

  10. Awwwwwwwwwww boyz we too are struggling with the idea of saying bye bye to our landline. However, our email address is associated with the landline service AT&T.
And all our on line functions and medical contacts are too. So we continue to ponder that decision. Your mama mad ‘hay while the sun was shining’. Is she for hire to organize my closet
    Hugs Cecilia

  11. Where’s the sign up sheet to reserved the photo organizer Mama? Sigh
SO impressive she did that chore. (Avoiding it here…but noooo do not cut the internet….and surely the dog could use another walk outside instead)
Glad you now can bark freely and dance with prances on blog pages once again. Whew!

  12. It looks like your mom found a good way to keep herself occupied and now she won’t buy the same shoes twice. BOL! You are keeping us in suspenders waiting for the rest of the story now.

    oh my, a mystery series

  15. I can hardly wait to read more of the story! I have a feeling it’s going to be a doozy!!!

  16. Sometimes the best laid plans go awry, don’t they? I keep thinking I need to change by ISP provider and ditch the LAN line but am terrified I’ll end up in the proverbial dark and we already know we’re clueless about enough things. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

  17. I can’t imagine things could get worse than the mama identifying 87 pairs of shoes with photos. Whenever Mom buys a pair of shoes, she writes on the outside of the box with a Sharpie marker to tell what they are. If we had our internet, phones, and TV cut off, she would not survive long enough to do any projects.

    Love and licks,

  18. Life seems to be a lot more complicated for anyone. We hope that things will settle down again for you, and us and everyone else.

  19. BOL…especially at Nobby’s comment!

Funny how, once their interwebs are taken away, the humans decide to do silly things like organize!!

  20. Lee and Phod says:

We missed you greatly and are glad you are back. Also we are glad that the reason was human error and not horrible nature (that happened here to a lot of people).

  21. Marsha Gay says:

I am so glad you are back and your parents can go back to the sedentary life they were designed for.

  22. The OP Pack says:

We still have a landline here, well actually we have two, but if Dad ever quits working, ours will go bye bye too. Hope we don’t have a disaster like you did. That is a good idea for the shoes. BUT the Momster doesn’t still have the boxes for her shoes:)

  23. Brian says:

Hooray for Ness, we’re so glad she came to check on you, all your pals were pretty worried boys, we thought maybe you ate the modem!

  24. rottwlrmom says:

Sounds like heaven! I’ve always wanted to label my boxes with pics!!! Glad she could make the most of it!

  25. We only have our land line to keep our cell numbers a bit more private…yup…as if!

Hope the sharp stuff wasn’t part of a DIY gone wrong…

  26. Caren says:

Tell mama that QVC sells these REALLY PRETTY storage boxes that have WINDOWS on them!!! You can see what’s inside! I know they have QVC in Europe, at least I think so! Check them out!

  27. Lulu: “Oh, wow, what a misadventure! Half the time the service people do things too late and half the time they don’t do things at all and half the time they do things too early!”
Charlee: “… That adds up to more than 100% of the time.”
Lulu: “Yes, because the service people are just THAT unreliable.”
Java Bean: “We sure are glad that you’re back with us in the land of connectivity!”
