BON CHEW & COWCOW,

to  Nature Furryday

hosted by da LLB-Crew,

…come on let’s go a Phenny… da rain takes a break…

….. really? I bet as soon as we swing our butts out of the door we will get a shower…

…well to our surprise it was not that bad outside…

…and because it was wet during da last days, da mushrooms popped out like popcorn…

….and they all have a leaf, that means leave me alone I’m not edible…

… or we are edible only one time….

…amazing how they grow literally over night….

… the rose we found for Rosie, needs a little longer to grow…

HAVE A FUNNY FURRYDAY AND A GOOD WEEKEND ALL

  2. We had rain on Wednesday… so no walk dat day…. today we gots a walk and we wuz so exciterated that we pulled the whole way. So much snifferatin’ to do and of course, leavin’ pee mail all along da way.

  3. In Scotland we have had a bumper crop of fungi this year too. When out in the woods a few weeks ago we met a man with a large basket full of ceps, but he didn’t tell us where he found them. Grrrr…
    Happy Nature Friday!

  4. Tis the season for mushrooms and fungi — always best to leave be!

  5. They are like popcorn – we’re always amazed to see a whole new batch of them every morning after a rain!

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. You definitely want to keep away from the ones that are only edible once! The only mushrooms I am brave enough to pick are the big field mushrooms. They are delicious fried and on toast.

  7. We love all of the pretty mushrooms and of course, the beautiful yellow rose.

A break in the rain is always nice. We end up out in the rain walking a lot but eventually we dry off. The wet dog smell is a nice aroma for the house. I bet your mom loves it too?

It has to be something that benefits from all the wet stuff, right? Fungi are one of those things… hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  10. Twinies I have the very same problem with the weather when I swing my tush out the door. Our weather gurus are sorely lacking in accuracy
    Happy Friday
    Hugs cecilia

I’m glad you got to get out n’ about for a little while boys!

  12. Those are cool looking mushrooms but it’s good to just leave them there and not give any a nibble.

  13. They pop up here too when we get a lot of rain.

  14. Lulu: “What about squirrels? Did you find any squirrels? You found squirrels, right?”

  15. grannyK says:

Mushrooms do grow so fast. It always amazes me. We once had a dog that ate some. He foamed at the mouth and had seizures, it was terrible! He was ok, thank goodness but gave us a scare. Beware of those things guys!

  16. You’ve been unlucky because we have had really nice weather here! We hope you have a sunny weekend!

    Woofs,
    Ollie

  17. Always a chicken unless we find morels… they are the only mushrooms we feel safe about eating. A sweet rose for Rosie! A great weekend wish for you!

  18. The Swiss Cats says:

Too bad you didn’t find any edible mushroom, some taste really good ! Purrs

  19. What cool looking mushrooms! I like looking at them in nature but am being basically a scardy cat who’s too afraid to eat any. Here’s to having a ‘furbulous’ weekend!

  20. I’m glad that the rain took a break so you could enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

  21. Such wonderful nature today boyz…Mama is obsessed with your mushroom finds and I love my Rosy Rose!!
    xoxo,
    Rosy and the Gang

  22. How beautiful your landscapes are when it is not raining! Look at those ‘shrooms and the Rose is GORGEOUS!
We found out today that October was one of the wettest on record here! We went form being too hot and a drought to too wet and cold! Good thing we have catnip to help while away the day!

  23. You boys take handsome pictures wherever you are! Our mushrooms have been popping up too, but we know not to eat them. Hoping for a dry weekend so you can be outside in the sunshine. XOX Xena and Lucy

  24. NO! Don’t taste the mushrooms. Mom always tells me if I eat one it will eat my brain. Maybe….

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  25. Marsha Gay says:

We say when we see that what popped up overnight was mushrooms: “Magic!”

  26. We had snow, rain, and even the sun tried to banish all that for us, but alas we got more snow…phooey!
We had oodles of various mushrooms, too…thankfully we don’t seem interested in sampling them for ‘edibiliity’, BOL!

Yours are pretty! Petcretary used to have a collection of mushrooms that she had embroidered…plus some paintings and pictures she had taken…they all live in a box now…Hmmm, wonder if they are gathering other kinds of fungi by now…Bwahahhaha!
