BON CHEW & COWCOW,

guess what? we have a diy project….. like always da dad had no birthday gift for the mama, so he grabbed the next best straw and pretended that he was pondering through da whole last year how to find da pawfect gift and exactly now he found it: a makeover of the bedroom and the closet….

… to his absolute misfortune, the mama immediately jumped on that rolling wagon and ripped the wallpapers off, just to make sure, that the new bedroom becomes no gift again for christmas or her next birthday(s)…

…and there we were… and there was no turning back, it had to happen and it had to happen right now…

… and then the wrecking started, because you have to make a mess furst to get a good result…

…and we have to tell ya, that this project is still not finished….but our dad learnt that to make sos-promises is the sh*t-way to keep da peace in da crib. to buy some flowers at the gas station is the better option, so he promised himself to make no more promises…

…and he sealed that promise even with blood…

… while we will keep you informed about this new kamikaze mission… promised!

We bet there were lots of F.U. words added to the cause as well!
Hope the end result will be worth all the blood sweat and tears.
As they say, you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs. Quick thinking on your dad’s part. Here in the UK, those who forget their spouses birthday and are not so imaginative are in deep trouble because half the petrol stations are shut…
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Uhoh, good luck with the project. They are always bad news here too.
Oh yes! A DIY project. Hopefully this won’t run and run 😀
Uhoh…….we know your Dad’s history with DIY and the injuries that are ALWAYS part of those projects when it comes to your Dad…..not to mention that the projects seem to sprout problems like weeds in a lawn. Purrhaps this project will be a better Christmas present than birthday if it takes months to complete (and if the injuries to the Dad aren’t toooooooooooooo severe!). We wish you luck. You guys better get some ear plugs so you don’t have to listen to the screams of pain when the nail goes through the finger!!
Hugs, Teddy
what a mess but it will be wonderful when done. we have the same type males. when we first got married bob went to work one day and when he came home i had painted the walls in two bedrooms. suprise! he was not happy, i found out he did not like anything but white on walls. it stayed of course. he promised he would put wallpaper on one wall of the kitchen so I could live with the horrid red counters his wife had put in. i bought the paper and laid it on the table, and two weeks of it laying there, i waited until it was almost time for him to come home, and when he walked in I was holding a long strip of wall paper standing on a ladder, he said come down and let me do that and by the time we went to bed the wall was papered, i did that once when i needed shocks on my car, bought the shots and was haning under the hood with them out of their boxes when he came home. it took him 20 minutes. but took months to get him to do it. good luck with the remodel
I love your method, Sandra! I immediately thought, “I’m going to try that!” when it dawned on me not once has my hubby ever stopped me in mid-fix/update to do it himself, LOL! He says, “I know you are capable and a strong woman.” Grrrr
Oh this should be fun! You may learn some new curse words too!
Hari OM

Oh Da P and Da N…yep flowers and chocolate are much easier.
Oh and guess what you were right about Cody. I took my walk much earlier today…he was in his normal place by the driveway. Maybe he has to see his wee peeps leave for school
Hugs Cecilia
I missed your fabulous DIY projects! It was time for a new one! To make it coincide with a birthday was genius since you were probably going to have to do it anyway.
DIY projects always seem to include bloodshed!
The Florida Furkids
Well, this is a gift for ALL of us. We can’t wait to see the results. I hope your mama is on amazon right now, ordering up some more bandages….
Love and licks,
Cupcake
It looks like your dad has a lot of work ahead of him. We hope there isn’t too much blood shed in the process.
Oh boy, living in a construction zone isn’t easy. We hope he can put something decent together fairly quickly.
In the past serious treaties and things were sealed on the page with blood…hope this doesn’t become the newest “brand new” trend.
This is such a fabulous gift…although flowers…
Paws up for support!
Only you could write this one
