…it is named after Dr. Piton, who was da mayor of Plemet from 1959 to 2006….

…that’s hard to top, right?

…and with a big yellow rose for Rosie, we wish you a funny furryday and a

  1. Our nature is very wet this morning. We had 30mm of rain from yesterday to this morning! And so much thunder and lightning last night! Are you afraid of thunder? I am not!

  2. We sure could use a whole lot of wet days here…
Your park flowers look so bright on your gloomy day, and that is a special rose for Rosie!

  3. Our rain and thunderstorms have gone away and we have nice sunny weather. I hope your weather improves. That mayor must have been very popular to have been in office for so long.

  4. Don’t be to sad, Phenny and Nelly. The weather will change again soon…at least that’s what we hope too…MOL…Lovely pictures and that yellow rose brings so much furriendship💛Pawkisses for a Happy sunshiny Weekend🐾😽💞

  5. Hari OM
Crikey – he was not only mayor but major – as in, pawhaps, dictator??? Or was there just nobody else willing to take the task?>! Anyhoo, rain marred the visit of Bertie to the Hutch, but he did take his Gail on a hike in a lovely park which you will see in due course. I was cowardly and stayed in the Hutch!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. What a pretty park! Sometimes the not so nice days are the bestest. Love the rose!

  7. Looks cold there! A little fog – a little walk in the park – it wasn’t ALL bad right??

    Hugs, Teddy

a truly beautiful park, as are the two canines staring into the camera and out of computer at ME… it looks like the back of your chariot has the back seat down, the grate that keeps you in is on the front seats. is that right?

    • all seats are like they are , we only have a bar between the back seats and the front seats, because this chaotics jump on the front seats and they really think they can ride shotgun

  9. My GBGV Life says:

Too bad your weather wasn’t better and disappointing the butterflies were not out. Maybe they will be on a nicer day?

  10. Hey Nelly and Phenny
100% the exact weather we had when we met favorite Sis of Angel Madi on Sunday.
You described it best when you said: and we are not watertight…I had no idea spitting mist could penetrate all the crooks and crannies.
    Hugs Cecilia

  11. Brian says:

At least you boys found a pretty rose!

  12. The park must have been nice without others there. We love that rose.

  13. What a beautiful park! Maybe next time you’ll see a butterfly. Happy Friday!

  14. Kaci says:

Kali and I will trade you for your rain. Instead you will get our 101 degree temps which will continue for the next week at least. That is New River AZ for you! Feel free to visit in winter when it is only 70 degrees!

  15. I must concede, you two Weim boys are looking exceptionally handsome in that photo today. Happy Nature Friday!

  16. Even in the rain, that is a pretty park. We sure hope you can visit again when the sun comes back out!!

Thanks for my beautimous Rosy Rose!!

  20. The OP Pack says:

We have had so much wetness here too, but now the heat is here and everything is getting too dry – no happy medium. But that gorgeous yellow rose makes us all very happy.

  26. edgar62 says:

Cold here but not wet – yet. Yes that is a long time to be Mayor.None of our ever lasted that long. I think 12 years was the longest – Mayor Ekblom.

  27. Wow, that mayor lasted fur-ever. The cold and wet was here at the beginning of the week but now we’re up to 90F’s again. Wasn’t ready for instant summer. Lovely park pics.

  28. Lee and Phod says:

You found colour on a grey day!

  29. That looks like a peaceful place to visit. I’m pretty sure Dr. Piton would scare me. I don’t do well with head-statues.

    Love and licks,

  30. Marsha Gay says:

A beautiful area, and quite a monument for a recent mayor. He must have given some awesome kick backs

  31. Lulu: “Wow, that guy was mayor for a long time! No wonder they named a park after him!”
