  1. What a lovely peaceful green area, but how horrid to think that the quiet will be disturbed by the sound of clay pigeons being shot…

  2. That’s a beautiful spot – whoever bought that property sure has a nice place to wander….too bad the Weims won’t be able to enjoy it !

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. What a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy a picnic! Bummer that it wasn’t you guys.

When Mom first moved to our house there were empty fields everywhere, now there are houses everywhere. Things change with time, not always the way we hope they would.

  5. Your peace and quiet will be ruined… that stinks. But the rose for Rosy is some good news!

  6. Sandra Hangey says:

so much beautiful space and to lose it to others is sad… the noise level of construction will not be fun. enjoy it while you may. I saw today Bertie is free to roam all of Scotland as of today. how are you doing in your part of the world, lockdown I mean

Ah… that is what some refer to as ‘progress’… pssshttt…. good for you making the most of the sunshine and finding the rose of the day. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. Everything is so green and fresh! Happy spring!

  9. Charles Huss says:

You should hop on the fence and scream “hey what gives you the right?”

  10. Oh do I hear you today there is a 5 acre parcel of land that was recently sold. I was zoned residential; however the developers with very deep pockets petition the city to rezone as commercial mixed use. There will be a 5 story building right behind a neighborhood. Set back only 50′ The daylight and sun into the homes will be permanently blocked. The residents of the small cozy development have petitioned the city too but I think it is a done deal. They only have one way in and out of their development. All the construction will be a nightmare for them. It is about 2 miles from here. I love the yellow rose for Rosy

E.S. was often so spot on with his “bah humbug”.

  12. It’s too bad that lovely place was sold to someone so you can’t walk there. Maybe you could become friends with the new owners and they would let you wander around when you like? That is such a lovely rose bud for Rosy.

  13. Sold, but not to YOU?? The nerve!! You kids would look great napping in that green, green grass… And just think of all the DIY for your parents to undertake.

    Love and licks,

  14. Caren says:

  20. The Gang at LLB says:

  21. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

It’s always sad when we lose favorite places to walk. If only we were the rich ones, right?

  29. Lulu: “That looks like an excellent place for a sniff, a roll, and a nap ― not necessarily in that order!”

  30. That’s too bad about it being sold. I hope you can enjoy it a little longer!
