hosted by AUNT YAM

this time we used da picture by Aunt Yam to tell a freakish but true story…

Once the mama walked with da Easy rider as a plane came soooooo close that she could see the belly of that berd… even da rivets what held that whole ole thing together… The mama thought it will fall directly on her nut and so she grabbed da pup and ran away faster than a f*rt… they way led uphill and the mama turned into Paarvo Nurmi, to rescue their lives… Da other inmates of the kraal saw the plane and were puzzled too, butt they also saw the mama in a wild stampede and they laughed their butts off, at our silly mama, who thought she can run faster than a plane can fly… We hoped for more acceptance and understanding, because the bretons are the nation whose only worry is, da sky could fall on their heads…

…and our sky is as blue as the one in the photo of Aunt Yam too… and da pear tree gets buds…

…also da fig tree…

and the peach tree… and we hope this year we will get some fruits…

…and with a single rose for Rosy who picked da camellia tree as da background we wish you a funny furryday and a

  1. Ooooh, figs and peaches. We do hope you have a fruitful summer. And our thoughts today are with all the peeps and pups who suffer from epilepsy, and all the good folk who try to help them.
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie (and Gail).

  2. WOW…..airplanes flying THAT low are scary indeed! The fruit trees look like they will be FRUITFUL this year – now that’s some GOOD NEWS.

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. Wow – that is a scary story! We hope all of your fruit trees bear fruit for you!

  4. Sandra Hangey says:

I would have run too IF I could, we live within 40 miles from 6 airports, and only 4 miles from one and 10 from another. I fear planes falling out the sky, a few years ago two of the really fast fighter jets left the military base and flew over us and crashed together in the air doing manueers. it was close enough we could have seen it if we were outside but we were not. at least once a week the smaller planes crash . yes, i would run….

  5. My GBGV Life says:

Have a fun weekend boys and so happy to see that Friday rose!

  6. Da Nelly and Phenny…what a wonderful and funny story of da Mama spotting da plane.
We are about 15 miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Every so often the flight patterns and I too see da planes but never one so close I could see da belly
    Hugs Cecilia

  7. That low flying plane would have scared me too. We had a plane flying low over the Tiny Ten and it was clearly having problems. It crashed in a farmer’s field shortly after flying over us. It was a man and his father-in-law. They survived but were injured.
    A wonderful rose for Rosy!

  8. We live down the street from an Air Force Base and see planes that low a lot.

Have a blooming good day boys!

  10. Hari OM
Crikey – I understand the panic when you are not anywhere near an airport (that I know of) for a big plane to be that low! It must have felt like arma was a gedding on… oh the thought of fresh fruit from the tree made my mouth water! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. We’re glad to hear the story didn’t end with a crash. That must have been very loud and scary though. We are starting to see some buds around here too. It’s so nice to see spring arriving.

  12. Yikes, that must’ve been scary! Glad she was able to outrun the plane to safety, hehe.

  13. LA Paylor says:

instinct to run… but a plane dropped big engines on homes here recently and the homes were all but destroyed, If the sky falls where ya gonna run?

  14. That would have certainly scared the cr*p out of all of us, too! Of course, but we’d have to poop while running, BOL! XOX Lucy and Xena

  15. The Gang at LLB says:

Our Mama gets nervous around low flying planes too!!

Love all your tree buds boyz…and thanks so much for my Rosy Rose!!

  16. Your mama was wise to run. When I first moved into my house, a small aircraft actually did crash into a house just a few blocks away! Happy weekend.

  17. edgar62 says:

See, I’m with the Mama here. I don’t like flying or planes. If I cannot get there by boat, train, bus or car, – I just don’t want to go there.

  18. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Those low flying planes are scary! We live very close to Dartmoor and the fighter jets sometimes fly very low over us. Several years ago, probably 20 or more, they started flying up the valley lower than the pylon wires on exercises to avoid the radar. There are a lot of farms here and they scared so many animals that it was stopped and they had to keep to the open moorland.

  19. I’m so glad the plane didn’t fall from the sky.

  20. Marsha Gay says:

Low flying planes give us the creeps.

  21. We also live near a National Guard Base, and the planes are often quite low and very noisy. Helicopters, too,and they are so low we can see all the details.
If there is an air show this year…(cancelled in 2020 form covid disruptions…), well then we will get to see planes and other flying things up close and almost in our faces…and hot air balloons as well, at lest they are quieter. We also sometimes have those bu=ig silent flyers here in the nearby fields. There was one just a few days ago!

Speaking of low flying aircraft strafing your area…our Oma was deathly scared of any of those warlike fighter jets, she was in the Netherlands during WW11,and had many horrific memories.

  22. Charlee: “Seems like with enough adrenaline pumping, the Mama might be able to outrun an airplane.”
Chaplin: “Yeah, I’m pretty sure our Mama would have picked up Dennis and outrun an airplane if one were coming at him!”

  23. Jan K says:

Personally, we think your Mama was the only smart one if she was running away! It doesn’t seem smart to stand there waiting to see if a plane falls on your head!

  24. Lee and Phod says:

We think your lady did the right thing by running!

  25. Mee-yow wow what a scarey story Aunty Katty! Yore Weim boy EASY RIDER soundss like hee was a clevurr an loyal poochie doggie!
