BON CHEW & COWCOW
call da 911 and grab your helmets …. and ruuuuuuunnnnn…

… we have a small diy project and to make it extra sizzling hot it is something with electricity… yeah!

… it started harmless with a light spot what went dark without a warning …

…..and our dad was there immediately for da rescue… sadly there are small clip-thingies at the back side of efurry little light and they are not made for bending them like a contortionist….

…so da friggin clip said PLING! and there was no longer a clip what holds da spot on da ceiling…

… da Bible said let there be light but it said nothing about interior design, so we think that’s no fail per se and we can count that project as mission completed, right?

Haha, never n dull moment.
Not a fail but an OOPSIE!
Is there really such a thing as a ‘small’ DIY project in the Weim household…?

Light is light, let’s not quibble… hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Two of our spots have just gone dark — hope we don’t emulate your dad when we try to change them 😀
Maybe do the other lights the same way and have some modern looking hanging lights? Could be more fashionable in the home decorating category?
today i posted i had lost my humor. I just came from Respice post where i practically rolled on the floor with laughter…. now I am here and Thanks for the laugh Out Loud… I actaully heard the PLING when it dropped… so see if you can finish this story and make me laugh again to morrow. as in is it still hanging?????
SSNS hates messing with those lights! Good luck to the Dad because I know he won’t give up!
Oh no! At least your dad had his wellies on so he didn’t get fried. Maybe silicone or No Nails would hold it in place.
BOL BOL we (dad of Angel Madi) recently had to change the batteries in our smoke detector and Carbon monoxide detectors. Our first floor ceilings are 9′ high so of course a real ladder was necessary. We try to avoid ladders here but 2 times a year we have no choice. One detector is removed by twisting off the other has those little clippy things which require much more finger dexterity.
Hugs Cecilia
Oh now, clipless is not a fun thing!
Our first thought was OMD – not electricity! We hope he gets the light back in place safely.
Hysterical: funny ( at a distance) and wildly (in the same room). I guess one thing about having a broken arm is the DIY projects are on hold here (maybe a prompt to still DIY ideas that were emerging …the last time an arm was broken it was during a recessed lighting installation.) We never seem to learn :O.
You gotta stop dad’s DIY projects in the interest of world safety.
All the renovations are coming along. You’ve done a lot of DIY work! That takes a lot of energy.
Boy can you zoom! Was that before or after the light fixing? We need to do some (light fixing). Mom needs a taller step ladder or Alex needs to do it, but he has not done it yet (Mom asked him last summer). Does that happen at your house? And we love that you guys both snoopervise! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Funny Team but Great too. Thank you, Love, nia
it’s always something!!!
Chaplin: “Oooh, a dangly light fixture? Can we jump up and bat at it?”
Lulu: “You probably want to make sure the electricity is off before you do that, Chaplin.”
I guess duct tape won’t work for that. 🤔
Maybe some Gorilla Glue. It can hold a gorilla (I think), so I’m sure it will hold a light…
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Bwahahaha! Yeah those clippy things are quite annoying. They either snap off or pinch the dickens outa one’s paws.
As usual a great DIY project for your dad. BOL!
You guys look pretty worried in that last shot!
Woofs,
Ollie

What the heck is your Dad standing on? We were worried this DIY project was going to end with a fall. We have lights like that in the bathroom. Mom needs to replace one but she can’t figure out how to do it.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I heard hanging lights are in vogue
yikes, so glad he didn’t get fried.
Ruh Roh. Wells, keeps the ambulance peeps on speed dial! BOL!! I thinks maybe your Pops can handle this…just tells him to turn the juice off furst! 😉
Kisses,

The light is lit and it might be time for the peeps to get lit too! BOL!
If no one got shocked, we’d definitely call it a win!! 🙂
