BON CHEW & COWCOW

and welcome to a new epawsode of our funny cooking contest… and together with da CANADIAN CATS, we present you today:
HALLOWEEN – PHENNYS AND NELLYS GRAVEYARD CAKE
…for the base we used this recipe….
…and we also used some cocoa to get some earthlike color…
…and after we baked that whole thing and also used some of the base for da grave stones, we started to decorate our cake:
…we used cherries for the filling, one big jar should do the trick. Our dad sadly bought the wrong cherries, they tasted awful and there were also the stones inside …but we make something scary so to get a mash is no fail…
we used the juice and an instant pudding to get a stiff filling..
…an then we dug in da cake and removed a part after it colled down …
… sadly da Nelly ate da crumbs instead to save them, so we rather used a spoon…
…and after the filling was not longer hot we placed the smashed cherries on da cake…
…the we covered the red ess with some earth aka the crumbs …
… and our dad tried to decorate da tombstones …. sadly he failed and nstead to get a fab message like FU! or buzz off! we got something what looks like braille…
…. ok, that was not what we wanted, but like Mick Jagger once said, you can’t always get what you want..
… and because that counts for greedy dogs like da Nelly too…
…our dad made a mighty fine cardboard fence to save da cake … he needed hours for the bars and because our dad is our dad…
…he lost da zest and one side of the gate is now barless…
…do you think a cardboard fence can stop us?
…BAH! never …. now get aout da knife and let’s try that scary thing…
…dig in and Bon appétit…and
HAVE A WILD WEIMNESDAY ALL
WOW! You are great team. I wished to taste… Thank you, Love, nia
Goodness, that is a scary cake and oozing with blood! Well done team 😀
What a creative cake and I bet it was SuperDelicious! You guys are always such great helpers!
I bet our mom would like it as she loves chocolate and she loves cherries, making it a perfect combo!
WOW…….that sounds so good! It may not be the most beautiful cake in the world but who cares as long as you can EAT IT! Your Dad’s protection fence was a good idea but we all know that if there are two hungry Weims even a fence can’t stop you!!!
Hugs, Teddy
87 standing ovations and bows…for you 4. Amazing OMDs what wonderful things happen with a creative team . Well done if I had a prize you would win it. Not only is it creative it looks delish too
Hugs Cecilia
I think it is a point in favour of your graveyard cake, that it does not closely resemble a real graveyard.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
That cake sounds delicious, and the paper graveyard entry is a great touch, but our Mom doesn’t have the patience to do something like your Dad did. Mmm. bet you got some of it! XOX Lucy and Xena
Of course, you can’t have a graveyard without a fence. Well…. I mean half of a fence! Looks yummy! Mom and I have never met a cherry cake we didn’t love!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
What a crazy team! The fact that you ended up with such a good cake is a miracle!
Look good! Have a happy Wednesday!
y’all just need chef’s hats to be on TV as bakers!
I am thinking that nothing in this wide world could keep the two of you from that cake not even still bars. But it sure was fun reading about the cake and it sure looks good when it’s cut in a slice it looks like it’s got blood inside it. Happy Halloween early
That actually looks pretty good boys! And I love da fence, even if it is missing the slats on one side. Ducky sez she wants a piece, too. (Sorry, Little One, no chocolate for you.)
You boys sure did some spooky cool baking!
At the cherry festival in Fougerolles, they left the pits in the cherries when baking their cherry “doughnuts.” Nice if they would have warned non-French people. 🙂 Fortunately, I didn’t have any tooth issues with the first bite and was careful after that.

We think it’s an amazing cake and even more amazing that there were no accidents!!

MOL…..Phenny and Nelly, you both were awesome in giving your unfurries instructions on how to accomplish a scary dessert of cemetery cake! This cake is truly horrifying but it seems to taste good.

That sounds like a great recipe. We love the gate your dad made too. BOL!
Great job and results. You guys manage to make success out of just about everything. Well done. I especially enjoyed the braille tombstones because there are probably blind zombies roaming around the cemetery.

Ghoulish indeed!! We BOL’d at the gravestone markers…
The cake looks good, even with the wrong cherries.
That is spook-tacular. Lady doesn’t do any Halloween cooking, but she did put on Halloween socks today.
WOW…that looks delish…Good job boyz!!!
That is cool. Thanks for the recipe and for hosting.

They look so yummy. I love French cooking.
That is the most colorful grave stone that I’ve ever seen!
