today we share NATURE FURRYDAY, hosted by da LLB-Crew,
…look where we were last tuesday… this is da menhir of Champ Dolent in Dol-De-Bretagne…
…and it’s really big, even bigger than our dad…
…and guess what? we met a facebook friend there, that’s Anton a weimaraner boy from germany who turned 2 last weekend
…he spent da summer in normandy with his pawrents and we took da chance to meet him and his people
… the mama is always surprised that we go along so well with other weimaraners, even boys and she was happy that we were really nice maniacs that day
…the weather guys promised a cloudy and fresh day, but they were wrong like always and we enjoyed fab 28°C while we joined 87 other unhappy chaps in a traffic jam…
…and we are proud for our dad who fouled the gps girl again and found a super place in da middle of nowhere while he looked for the way home…
… some sight seeing… and empty field…
…and empty nothing…
and at least a cornfield probably the crib of Randall Flagg…
but finally we made it home while using the sun as our gps and we say THANK YOU to Anton and his people for a wonderful afternoon…
…and with a special butterfly-flower for Rosy, we wish you a funny furryday and a

I am so proud of the two of you for being good maniacs and playing nice with Anton and his family… ha ha on the middle of no where nothing photos. yay for finding your way home by the sun… i thought you would use moss growing on the north side of a tree. ha ha

We are still at Level 1 evacuation order and holding. We are lucky to be in this location, we’ll see how long that holds up. Smoke is worse today. I’ll be going offline for a while.
Sad news from here. Abby cat was euthanized yesterday morning amid all the chaos of the fires out here. She had been losing muscle mass and weight over the summer, and was staying very close to me. Although her kidneys were doing very well, and the rest of her blood work they did last Friday was very good for an 18 1/2 yer old cat, diabetes was discovered. She was put on insulin, and monitored carefully, but there was something else going on as well. She collapsed yesterday morning, and I rushed her in. A large mass was discovered in her abdomen, which was quite likely cancer of some sort. She was dying on the table, and we gave authorization to let her pass on peacefully. We buried her yesterday in the garden under my office window, where I can watch over her. She was a dear old kitty.

When your dad fouls the GPS, he REALLY fouls it. He’s not even on a road at all. Mom usually doesn’t do what the GPS lady tells her, but she usually stays on a road one way or another….
