today we want to reveal the mystery around da buckets, The Warrior Princess asked us, soooo here we go…

…  the buckets are there to avoid accidents and broken lawnmowers…

…because once two mighty trees lived there, but had to go as they scratched the sky and had a battle with a storm…

…and because our dad  cut them, the stumps are still there and covered with grass they make fabulous trip hazards and they also killed a lawnmower completely…

…and so the plan was to cover them with something you can not ignore… and while we’re on it, we tell ya why they both are damaged…

…it happend during a dark night broad daylight, that a wimmen  waddled blind and clueless and backwards  through our garden and stumbled over da blue bucket, what she damaged with her stilts…

…and with the zip of the fall she picked the red bucket as her landing strip and smashed it with her ice cream cemetery…

… that shows that the common opinion about wimmen vs. reversing is true and with  non observance of that rule you will end in da bucket…

  1. Oh, yes, a protection that didn’t work too well for that ‘wimmen’, BOL!

And you are in the bucket now Weimies!!

We have some big rocks sticking out of the ground in a few places…way too big for the peeps to dig them out…and every once in a while the mower blades hit one, to try and scalp it…nope, doesn’t help the mower one bit. Maybe we need some buckets too:)

BOL – how I love your version of events!!! The tree scratching the sky… fit for FFF is the quality of that image!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Maybe you need big red warning flags to avoid accident to backward waddling wimmen!

  4. BOL, that’s too funny!

  5. Bwahah. Ice cream cemetery!
Love the tree scratching the sky too.

  6. Well that is a terribly sad tale indeed…..and I’m thinking your Mama’s ice cream cemetery wasn’t happy about the chosen landing spot either – OUCH ON THE TUSH!

    Hugs, Teddy

  7. My GBGV Life says:

We have a water valve in the front yard Mom has to be very careful with. One day, we know she will hit it and kill our mower!

  8. Sandra Hangey says:

You know I wondered about those buckets and forgot to ask I’m glad someone asked and that you told us the story. I can see why you have to have something bright and I’m still laughing out loud at the story of the crash and burn or should I say crash and bucket! It looks like they’re perfect for you did they put water in them to cool you off

  9. Phenny and Nelly what a brilliant idea…the boxes mark the spots.Years ago we had a teenager cutting our grass. Bryan told him about the city meter that was located in our yard…for months he remembered…..until he didn’t. He was using his lawn mower and OMDs did he ruin it.
    Hugs Cecilia

  10. MOL @ ice cream cemetery! We’re glad she wasn’t hurt. We have a couple stumps like that too.

  11. You’re so right. Those stumps can wreck havoc on the lawnmower blades!

  12. The concept was good but maybe not for people!

  13. Oh dear, we know about tree stumps and lawnmowers 😀

  14. The buckets may be damaged, but at least they’re still good for the job they were given. Just don’t cut yourselves on those cracks – cuts from cracks in plastic sting like crazy!

  15. Of course your mama would trip over one and land on the other. She never leaves a job half finished. F@#K

    Love and licks,

  16. BOL, that’s a good story and solution. Thanks for answering or question. Xox Lucy and Xena

Wow..helps block the mower AND a nice place to sit! BOL

  23. Oh dear! That is quite a tale of how useful those buckets really are. BOL! We are laughing our tails off.

  24. An obstacle course> Must be an attempt to break the monotony of being at home all the time…..but care must be given – no one needs to have to go to the hospital to get patched up or bones taped together….(Duct tape is good!) Glad you two are seated to bark off any trips and falls!

  25. Marsha Gay says:

That is a clever way to hide the stumps. What kind of person would bust your bucket.

  26. The OP Pack says:

We sure hope that woman survived her encounter with the buckets. Hey, we have a DIY for your Dad. He could dig up all the grass around those stumps, and make a landscape bed with some of your Mama’s pretty roses planted in it:)

Stumps will kill a lawnmower every time. Great idea except for the tripping part.
