BON CHEW & COWCOW

…and hell-o to a DIY project….

…and not only just any project it is one with a lot of water….

…after suddenly the faucet in da kitchen exploded and a fountain of water flew to the sky, the staff had to act

…  instead to buy the broken mini- part and to replace the old one, they decided to buy a new faucet, because that’s the same price and the replacement is not available at the moment because of special situations. and we really wonder why we have to throw the complete ole faucet away just because of the one little broken part… once we will be no longer planet earth, but planet waste…

… da dad disappeared and we were waterless for a while…

…as he came back he tried to install the new thingy but it didn’t fit nor work…

…he disappeared again and we were waterless again

… with the second one we had more luck and in the evening of this wet day we really were back to nearly normal…

…till the water came out from the kitchen cabinet because that thingy is a dropper…

..what do you mean da phenny one tries to squeeze him into that cabinet…

…and the other one can close the door?

…well… at the end there is a new faucet, we could re-use one of the plastic ice cream containers as a drip catcher and we got our food nearly in time, who cares about 2 hours later, right? So we say, eat more ice cream you will never know for what you will need the empty jars…

HAVE A MARVELOUS MO(A)NDAY ALL

  1. Ahhhh – a DIY project that was almost complete and with the help of an old ice cream bucket was a DRY project. Maybe a little tightening will work wonders and the drip drip drip will stop today? Good luck to the Manager of DIY !

    Hugs, Teddy

Oh, yes, ice cream – or yoghurt. I love my empty yoghurt cartons. So very handy for many things – including water bowls for visiting dogs! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. My GBGV Life says:

Our mom has been forced to eat ice cream because she needed the bucket. Actually, she loves ice cream so we have a lot of those handy buckets.

  4. Oh
Da Dad of Da Phenny and Da Nelly is quite handy with his paws and he is a contortionist..
It is amazing how much a part can cost. We recently had the death of a kitchen faucet too.
    Hugs Cecilia

  5. Plumbing issues are the worstest! Thank doG your dad is a jack of all trades!

  6. Brian says:

We know boys, we couldn’t get parts and had to replace a kitchen faucet and 2 bathroom faucets!

  7. It is a throw away world. Just so no one throws us away, right?

  8. We knew your dad would get it fixed in the end. You boys did a great job of snoopervising though.

  9. I know some plumbers who might be able to help you for a rather small….. er, hefty fee. Oh, and they’ll tear up your kitchen floor for free! And after they leave, only 87 things will go wrong with the stuff they supposedly fixed…

always something isn’t it? And yes eat the ice cream… usually a fine solution to problems! lol

  11. Kismet says:

Why don’t you call Nixon’s White House plumbers?

  12. Lee and Phod says:

You man gets points for trying! Make sure he doesn’t go too crazy on the DIY as the health care system will be overburdened enough in the coming weeks.

  13. What a great moral…we are sending Mama out for more ice cream!!
    xoxo,
    Rosy, Jakey & Arty

  14. I’d rather stick a hot poker in my eye than deal with plumbing problems. You dad is very brave to tackle that project. 🔧

  15. Bella, Roxy and says:

Now we understand why SHE always calls strangers to repair thingys.

  16. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Hooray for empty ice cream cartons!

  18. The OP Pack says:

YAY, another fun DIY adventure for your Dad. We hope all the drips have stopped dropping by now. Ice Cream – did someone say ice cream???? We scream for ice cream.

  19. Jan K says:

DIY projects that involve water can be quite challenging. We had one here too, but luckily were able to get the needed part to fix it without buying a whole new one (however, after many hours of labor!!). The other bonus was I got to be gone somewhere when it all happened, and as far as I know Luke got his supper on time!

  20. Mew mew mew another fun DIY purroject from Mistur Em himself!! That iss a snazzy fawcet….,,

  21. I think eating lots of ice cream is GREAT advice. I’m happy you guys didn’t shove your dad into the cabinet. Water messes are a special kind of messes.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  22. KB says:

Your dad is a very talented fellow! Don’t put him in the cabinet, boys!

  23. Marsha Gay says:

All’s well that end without anyone burning down the house. It is a good thing you dogs can make your own water

  24. Oh, that is like every DIY project that has ever been attempted in our house! Nothin’ ever works on the furst try! it usually takes 87 trips to the hardware store, and lots and lots of HBO wordies! I am so glads it finally works! YAY!!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  25. We had that sort of trouble in the bathroom…and THAT cabinet is smaller than your kitchen one…BOL! Pawppy was vexed…the part he got to fix, without replacing, well it did not fit…and off he went and got a whole new one…then that had to be installed…OMD! Well after three days and a pail under it…its OK…at least it has been for about 7 months…Hmmm…hope I didn’t jinx it by saying that! BOL!

  26. You guys are the bestest helpers.

  27. M. K. Clinton says:

We HATE any repair that involves water. So scary! Good job on your faucet.

  28. That is absolutely our most unfavorite project: 1) ’cause you always have to buy an entire new one even though the old one just needs one tiny (unavailable) piece to be good as new, 2 you have to take everything out from under the sink, and 3) the unexpected showers while inside the bottom cabinet – it never fails to soak!
Yes, always need a full store of ice cream available for that project!

  29. Lulu: “We had an unexpected water feature appear in our bathroom here recently, too! I didn’t get to supervise the repairs, though …”
