Probably best not to eat the bird shit BOL!
Gooseberries are clearly the best plant for the brown fingered. We even have a gooseberry bush in our back garden which has survived decades of neglect and bears fruit without fail every summer. Incroyable, as you say in your part of the world.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Absolutely leave those “white berries” off your snack list boys – trust me on that. Now gooseberries – Mom says they are delish. When she was little and lived in Germany, they would have gooseberry pie often. Also rhubarb which you rarely see around here. Your yard looks really nice and green and ready for you boys to grow something just for you – – – how about a plant that grows chewing bones???????
Hugs, Teddy
You have mom hungry for fig preserves now! We have never tasted a gooseberry before. They sure are pretty!
It used to take a long time to pick enough gooseberries to make one pie, but it was The Event of the season when I had a patch of goosdeberries that started from where some sweet little bird pooped the seeds!
I bet our friend Goose sent all those gooseberries just so we could have a party.
You fellas always amuse and delight me. Eating an unknown white is like eating yellow snow.
“dude.. that is berd sh*t butt feel free to give it a try…”

OOhhh gooseberry is such a delicious and old-fashioned fruit! I am envious of your fig plant. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You’re doing better than me. Last year I planted three tomato plants, a pepper, several cabbage and lettuce plants, basil and mint. The basil and mint did okay but everything else failed miserably. Except I did get a whopping three or four cherry tomatoes.
You boys need some Canadian Goose poop. We love to feast on that, but it makes Mom really made. Normal bird poo isn’t worth eating. Happy Friday!
Gooseberry Pie! I would love eat figs off my own fig tree. I think you boys have a lovely yard!
We love your back yard boys, such a fabulous place to play and hang out!
We had 87 bazillion mangos on the tree but the vishus squirrels got them all.
The Florida Furkids
Wow! I’m impressed! We used to have fruit trees but the deer and groundhogs ate all the fruit. Now we go to the farmers market.
You boys always make me laugh. Thank you! Watch out for the berd sh*t! It’s nasty! Even Ducky doesn’t like it, and she’ll eat anything. 🤣
Luke says bird poop is a delicacy, especially when it comes from your very own birds! He says you should definitely try it (though the wild stuff might not be as good?).
We bet some birds ate some of the fruit before you had a chance to count it.
I thought “merde d’oiseau” was a delicacy.
Bird candies are the best thing “growing” in the yard. Yum. Mom says yum to the figs!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
With all the food you have in your backyard you could live back there without haviing to be fed by your parents for hours.
Lovely rose! 🙂 Fresh figs are our Mama’s favourite. Delicious! You boys are very handsome gardeners XO
Thanks so much for my Rosy boys….Can I have a lick of that birdy poop too? I loooovvvvveeeee birdy poop!!
xoxo,
Rosy
Happy Nature Friday. You both have such a pawsome backyard. Looks like you have so delicious stuff growing back there in the garden. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
Five whole figs and one currant?!? Whoa, don’t eat that all at once!
Figs are tasty but leave those white berries alone.
How wonderful to have figs in your backyard!!
How nice to have fruit growing in your backyard!

“White” berries indeed. 🤣Yeah, you may want to stay away from them. Perhaps you can make some goose berry jam with a hint of fig? Happy weekend!

I have to admit that I have never eaten a gooseberry. I don’t think I thought they were real. BOL!
