For today we picked Agatha Christies FIVE LITTLE PIGS… and the words are : MALEVOLENT GLARE, INNOCENT, CHEMIST, UNREAL
…and here we go:
Da Phenny……I mean Howlcule Pawriot, do you know why some paintings are still unfinished? I mean whats the reason behind that, we all should finish what we started to be happy with da result….
…oui mon ami Pawstinks, that is what we really should do… butt there are some reasons why some paintings can not be finished…
… sometimes the model jumps around like crazy and the artist is not able to do one stroke with the pencil…
…uuuh yes than can happen…
…and sometimes the model is somehow UNREAL so you have to use your gray cells to bring some reality to your art piece…
…oh I agree butt that happens only with super ugly models, so it can not happen in da canine world, right?
….oh lala mon ami that can happen with any species, but you are right, such an ugly dog who makes a painting UNREAL is hard to find…
… well then I’m satisfied because I know my pawtrait will be beautiful…. butt hey da Phen… I mean Howlcule Pawriot why you have such a MALEVOLENT GLARE in your eyes ?
…have I? … ummmm that’s probably mon naturel interieur mon ami….

WHAT THE…. F … that looks so darned horrible , that can not be me… and THAT IS NOT ME!

…and there we have it mes amies… sometimes people can not see themselves like an artist can see them… and that is the main reason that so much paintings stay unfinished till today… some INNOCENT but per se simple natures think an artist can do wonders… but he can’t … not more like the photograph who takes a picture or the chemist who brings this photo to broad daylight… neither the camera nor the chemical process nor the pencil can lie… and some people think UNREAL when they think they look better in a painting than in real life… n’est ce pas?… and to blame all that on INNOCENT artists is une grande honte, mais sure!

HA! I think that unfinished pawtrait is pretty darn good….BUTTTT, my Mom says painting people (or their pets!) was something she NEVER did because people see themselves DIFFERENTLY than others do. It’s tough to please some folks and life’s too tough without making it tougher !!! I think you boys should stay away from the art world. It’s more fun!

I’m sure a painting of me would never be finished. Of if it was my mouth would be distorted because I could not keep it shut long enough for the artist to capture it.

A true artist puts down what they see, which not be what you see or what you want to see. This is why we have no paintings of us, just photographs. We think that painting was not so bad, by the way.

The artist should use one of those apps on Instagram that make the ugly look gorgeous. Everyone knows it’s a lie but the person is happy.
We enjoyed reading your story but don’t think that painting was so bad. It must have been a challenge for the artist if the subject wouldn’t hold still.
And sometimes the model wants to play pick up sticks and grabs the easel for a game of keep away! Artists need exercise and a bit of a run is good for them…so they are in practice if once the painting is done and the one featured in the portrait is mad?

That was a good story. When artists paint they don’t see the same things as every one else. At least the eyes and nose were in the right place which they wouldn’t have been if it was painted by Pupcasso.
Artists are allowed to have creative license, and they certainly use it!! 🙂
