today we have something super tasty!!!! It’s the red riding hood cake…

Things needed : Red Cherries – 1 glass around 125gm All purpose flour 200 gm Butter 100 gm ( soft) Eggs 3 Sugar 150 gm Vanilla sugar 1 pack Backing powder 1 pack Milk 2 sp Nutella(Chocolate cream) or Cacao powder 2 sp For Cream Layer: Whipping Cream – 1 bottle 200 gm Whipped cream stiffener (Sahnesteif )- 3 pack Quark or sour cream cheese – 250gm Vanilla sugar – 2 packs Sugar – 3sp For red topping: 1 Pack. red Glaze

…and here is the instruction via video, if you want to give it a try… you really should it is totally worth da bursting Suzie Quattro memorial pants:

…. the mama did it via gut and not via instruction, so I rather look for some snacks before all that tasty stuff lands in da trash can…

….. furst we prepared da baking mold… yoooo… that looks good…

….because that is always da trap for the mama, all her stuff sticks in da mold like glued…

…then we prepared the dough according to da instruction and threw da cherries on that cement….

…uuuuh wait that one cherry was not at the right place…

…then we gave it 40 minutes in da oven…

….till it looked like that…. and friends that is like a miracle that something really looks like it should be… at least in our crib…

…then we prepared the whipped cream and the cheese….

…. oops… the bowl is empty….we sure have more cream in the fridge, have we?

… and while the mama threw the cheese cream mix on that cake we helped her with cleaning that kitchen stuff…

…da Nelly there is something on your sniffer…

…and at the end the cake looked like the one we saw at POI…  we only exchanged the red glaze stuff with custard powder, because in that glaze  things is weird stuff inside… the mama used the juice of the cherries and prepared a kind of pudding  we used for the top of that cake…

…hey wait a minute… da cake is not complete….

…uuuuh yes… you are right… it needs a decoration…

…..aaaah now we talk….

…. and with the right decoration the cake is double tasty!!!!

A new success!? Your female human should cut out using ready mixtures and always bake from scratch, it seems. Even I would eat that, and I am spoiled.

  6. You two are great helpers and diswashers too, Phenny and Nelly😸Is there a piece of k left for la Binka😸Pawkisses for a delicious day🐾😽💞

totally home baked – and well done on swapping the glaze – when I saw that in the movie I thought immediately “nuclear!!!”. I think it is almost like a baked trifle and I think I must attempt this when next visiting the father because he will eat anything with cherries and chocolate involved! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. It looks so yummy and beautiful and I like the size of the piece on the plate! I”m in!

  9. That cake looks sweet and creamy and marble-y and delicious – with just the perfect Valentine sentiment on top! You two are the best helpers. I’m hoping to help Mom clean the mixer blades later today…. mmmm. Strawberry cake.

My mom finds it funny that sour cream was hard to find in Germany, and Quark is hard to find here. They are not quite the same thing, but one needs to use them like they are. We actually saw Quark in the store a while ago! The cake looks delicious! Enjoy.

  11. Brian Frum says:
