to da final pawetry post of da year… but we hope Angel Sammy and  Teddy will host such a funny event next year too….

…look what gem they found…. aaand here we go…

Once some more  moons ago

the mama read a magazin named OEST-IMMO.

Thre were castles, manors and such

and properties what ruin your wallet very much.

And between all that mighty fine posh locations

there was a watermill with some renovations.

The mamas mind became suddenly ill

and she said to da dad; I will that mill.

So they drove to a place out of civilization

to find the mill with some renovation.

woah said the mama that is no mill but a tree

while da daddy grinned with malice and glee.

the interior looked like devastation

and was far away from “some renovation”

The mama drove home and swore she will kill

the next greedy property shark who offers a mill.

… I would like to live in a mill…

….yeah dude butt not in that one… we are sadly no mill-ionaires…

WordPress has just trashed and deleted your comment on “Dog’s Old Age” and my reply ! Thank you for your support for Brownie. Nana’s health got much worse so Brownie went back to her doggy day care with all the animal friends permanently. Nana visited once and Brownie wanted to go home with her. This is not possible so Nana has not been back.

  3. HA! Great poem – I guess it’s true that what might look like perfection on the outside is often “rotten from within” !!! This place might have a leaky roof and rotten floors, but on the outside it sure looks great…..sounds like a few people we know too! EEEK! Thanks for pawticipating in poetry day and we do intend to keep doing them in 2019!!

    Love, Teddy

Oh my word! What a naughty trick to get people to travel to see this piece of property.
I think I heard your mama holler I would have too.
    Hugs Cecilia

We love the photo prompt for this week and would love to visit that place!

  7. The house for the Poetry Day is darling… I just want to tuck it in my pocket! Your poem about someBODY tricking the Mama about a mill… shame on them! I can’t believe someBODY would do that.

  8. It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing your poetry.

BOL… OMD I have seen how clever these realtor writers are and how far from ‘real’ they ‘tor’!!! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  10. This is a valuable lesson, P. Pups and peeps should be careful when selecting a mill. Nobody wants to live in a tree. Except a squirrel. Or a bird. No pups or peeps, tho.

    Love and licks,

  11. Maybe your mama will get her mill one day. We love your poem!

  12. Just think of the DIY projects this mill would require.
My pa could come help your pa and our mom’s could go shopping.

Another bad design. That boat has a good paddlewheel to get around, but the stone construction means it will (ahem) sink like a rock.

  14. Your poem is just what happens in our lifes, sometimes I have a feeling everything changes to s**t, I mean in really bad days are just like the poem.

  15. lapaylor says:

the old joke in florida was having some lovely swampland to sell… the house and mill are so picturesque and romantic… worthy of dreams of how it looked when built. I wouldn’t be surprised to see sleeping beauty in one of them!

  16. Mewo meow what a clevurr poe-em Phenny an Neilson!! An “BOO” that yore mill was onlee a door with a tree…yore rite ‘vout not beein ‘mill-ionnaress’!

  26. Marsha Gay says:

A fabulous poem. You could write the next Hamilton and make it about dogs.

  27. Idaho PugRanch says:

Oh so the reality is not as pretty as the picture it seems.
    Hazel & Mabel

  28. That was a great poem and of course ends with a shattered dream for your mama.

That mill looks lovely. Much better than the one you mamma visited!

The “tree” looks like an interesting place to renovate. Maybe a good house for Hobbits? 🙂
