… and celebrate with us….

Today we join Aunty Yam for Divali, the fest of the light where the good beats the evil.  We think our world needs more light what can chase back all shadows and the darkness….

The interesting thing is that nearly all cultures and religions  have such a fest where the light conquers the darkness… there is  Divali the fest of light in Hinduism, Sankt Martin and the Lucia Day and Christmas  the fests of light in Christianity, Mevlid Kandili, the birthday of the prophet  in Islamism, Hanukkah in Judaism and Pavarana the fest of light in Buddhism.

… it seems we have more in common than we think… and couldn’t be that  a reason to see each other not by our religion, color or nationality but as the people we are?

May our candle (battery operated, of course) bring the light of friendship to all who need a spark of hope today…

People in today’s world need to remember to respect one another, accept differences, and work together. All the fighting and hatred is so senseless.

A great message to start my day! What I am trying to do here is fill the “voids” with love. Love is light to cast into the voids of the unknowns of this life. To illuminate what may seem unlovable and see people, places and things differently. Like A flashlight beam into a cave. As Maya Angelou says, “we are more alike than we are unalike.” Hugs to you all there.

Chaplin: “Yes, lights in the darkness attract moths, and we love to stare at moths.”
Charlee: “Of course we know that this festival isn’t really about attracting moths.”
Chaplin: “It’s just a happy side effect that it does!”

  39. Let your light(s) shine brightly to light your paths and to prevent stumbling and troubles on your journey of life…and do not cover it with a bushel, for then no one will see that light and it will be the darkness of heavy hearts…
