BON CHEW & COWCOW
look what we did last weekend:

…we made a pumpkin pie!!! with our own paws!

… we sadly have no thumbs, so we asked the mama for some help and that was probably a mess-take…

….I don’t know what’s inside of that pot…

…butt it is something illegal when it has such a psychedelic effect…

…umm what?

…furget it back to the pie…

…while the mama whisked the eggs and the cream and the sugar , it suddenly happened… the fu.. whisk thing broke …

…and our tile splash became a heaven at night with a gazillion of egg-stars and even a flashlight moon…

…heck the mama you made such a mess and I’m the one who has to clean efurrything…

… we refused to use the haunted thingy again and from then efurrything was hard paw and tongue work…

…it’s weekend an I have to work like a slave…

…butt well here is da pie…

…ready to jump in da oven…

…and later da Phenny was mad brave enough to try it…

…ouuuuachbarksewwphewbuhauhamuhaha… the name says it all

…the dad said it’s not that bad, butt the mama was not impressed… so much effort and such a mess for an untasty pie…

… next time we don’t wash our paws before we do the filling… that probably makes this vita reducta thingy a little bit more vivid…

… and we would like to send this pie to Braun for their killer hand-held blender… honestly that was no masterpiece of craftsmanship…
HAVE A MARVELOUS MO(A)NDAY ALL

I did not realise cooking could be so fraught with problems !
This is funny and I can almost imagine you are all in the kitchen!!!! But I am glad to hear that at the end you did a pie… seems n ot bad… My Little Big Cats are same with me in the kitchen… All working is being a disaster and I am surprised how it ends… My Love says that I should luck them in their room so I can work nicely in the ktichen… but I don’t want to keep them away… as my Love says, this is my joy/fun with them… I think he is right…. Thank you dear humans and lovely team, I enjoy with you too…. Have a nice and enjoyable week for you All, Love, nia
Well I hope you were at least paid double time for all that weekend working….
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Mmm, your broken whisk made almost as much mess as we did without the lid on the liquidiser 😀
… welcome in da club… we had a blender with milkshake… without lid…that was a mess-shake… lid-erally…
Uhoh…….dis-ass-ter in the kitchen but it resulted in delicious little bits of pumpkin sprayed all over the kitchen which thankfully there were two Weim tongues ready to CLEAN UP the mess for! We thought the pie looked tasty but if you say it caused psychedelic reactions – well – you all have enough of those without making pies don’t you?????
Hugs, Teddy
Hari Om
Crikey, I’d’ve just roasted da pumpkins in de skins and scooped that luscious sweet flesh just as it is. Saves a lot of trubs and not a whisk in sight!!! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
I’m terrible at making pies, and not a huge fan of pumpkin, so I’d say toss it and make something with chocolate.
Your Mama is lucky she has a great clean-up crew. 🙂
Dang whisk woes sure didn’t help out much!
A wonky whisk is no good at all! The mama was very lucky to have 2 long tongues to clean up the mess.
Well. it looks good!
Oh Twinies do I hear you loud and clear. I am a charter member of the failed pie club.
I think the pie is quite pretty though. LOL
My ‘mock’ apple is a nightmare for another day.
Hugs Cecilia
A pie with a message.
Da mama needs to teach a cooking class. It would be hilarious and you two pups would get a chance to clean up a lot of stuff. The looks good. A little bit of ice cream would make it even better!
Thank goodness your mama has you guys to help her out! The pie looks SuperYummy!
The pie looks good, but sometimes looks can be deceiving. Clean-up in isle 17 is no good on the weekends that are made for relaxation and stuffing one’s belly with seasonal treats. Better luck next time. Paws crossed Braun covers the whisk or they should wear pie.
The pie looks good but we’re sorry to hear you didn’t like the taste. We do love how your mom decorates all her baking creations. BOL!
That’s why I don’t use whisks – just a fork or spoon – most times. And never a battery-operated one, that’s for sure!
did you remember the pumpkin pie spices? It looks good, and as we all know looks are everything! lol! er… not with pie. Maybe sprinkle a little salt or sugar? You tried, which is more than we did!
Pumpkin pies are my favorite! Put some whipped topping on it and enjoy!
Is the first picture the gourd you used? If so, then this is squash pie. Squash is still very good but needs more spices to make it yummy.
Jean
yep… that was the squash we used… we will remember that for the next one …;O))))
Some things are better bought, but they won’t make a good story. I hope your Mom didn’t try to make a pumpkin pie with those baked squash! (Although, the color of the pie says “pumpkin.”
Wow, I’m so impressed with all the cooking you boys do! Momma doesn’t let me do ANY cooking. Maybe she just thinks I’m too young?
OMGoodness, P. Your The Mama is the best baker ever! Every time we see one of her finished F#@K bakery creations, we die laughing! This pie is a beauty! Awesome!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We say add a BIG scoop of ice cream and that pie will be delicious!!! Too bad about the whisk mess. Mom does that sometimes when she pulls the mixer out of the bowl before she remembers to turn it off. And then we TOO have to help with the cleanup:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Did you leave out the spices by any chance….in all the chaos? Pumpkin pie NEEDS the spices….
Oh, my!! Good thing the two of you were around to help clean up and soothe the mama!! I’m sure she appreciated it. Right? 🙂
janet
“Mess-Take”!!!!! HaHaHA! That one made us laugh!
That pie was pretty rude, says #1.
Woofs,
Tommy
Oh Boyz…you two really know how to have a good time in the kitchen!!
BOL!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
We would blame the faulty equipment and nothing else!
I bet the collies would like it….they like everything food related!
LOL! That pie made me laugh …bet it still tastes good! My assistant can’t bake to save her life. She messes up pretty much everything she tries bake.
Can we borrow that pie for the family Thanksgiving
That’s okay, pumpkin pies aren’t that good, even when they’re good! So says Ma, I’ve never tried one, butts I thinks I’ll take her word on it. she was right abouts the broccoli !! BOL!
I can’t believes the terrible quality of thingies these days! That would have SO happened to Ma! Except, she would have taken her eye out!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
It looks like you’ve been very busy for that pie ! Purrs
That sucks that it was un tasty and you had to break your whisk.
OMD I saw “FUCK” and nearly died laughing!! Wasn’t that butternut squash you had up there and not pumpkin????? Or was the squash for something else?
Oh, MY! Good thing I was *not* a fly on your wall that day, BOL! I would have been covered in who knows what and slurped up by one of you pups…
Now when petcretary puts together a pumpkin pie for our Thanksgiving feast, she will think about yours:)
…not sure if she would dare to put a wordy decoration on it though…
