BON CHEW & COWCOW,
to a new round of Angel Sammy’s and Teddy’s Pawethaton in pictures… lets see what the ginger boys have this week…
… that hands on a plate… Nelly, right? yeeeah… right…
…and here we go:
Once many many moons ago,
the mama pondered to and fro
to start a career as a dancing queen,
after the Red Shoe movie she had seen.
She threw her ballet shoes in a bag
and entered the dance class of a darned hag.
It was like torture and bootcamp and jails
and the stage was plastered with tears and fails.
Butt suddenly the mama got her chance
in Peter and the Wolf, she thought she can prance.
With bugging and begging she got the role of the duck
the poor thing what died without any luck.
The wolf was instructed to eat the duck fast
so the stagetime of the mama would not long last.
This way the hag reduced the mamas show
to only 2 seconds, what a mean ole cow!
Butt not with the mama, she came back after she was gone
and danced her part on the stage alone.
The hag tried to remove her, butt in vain
the mama screamed and kicked her before she landed behind the curtain.
And if you think that was the end of her career,
then you are wrong I tell ya my deer…
The mama got a place in da pawfessional dance group of that theater
because the director was a friend of her father.
You see not talent nor ability are the impawtant facts
its all a question of the right contacts.
As a pixie in da midsummer nights dream she then was a mess
and a cataclysm was the critique of da press….
Butt finally the luck was with her on all her ways
as an extra she was brilliant in many plays.
She is the an absolute knock-out huh? … yeah … literally…
HAVE A PAWETHIC THURSDAY ALL
This is amazing, made me smile.. Thank you humans, and Good Morning to you ALL, have a great and enjoyable day, Love, nia
Nice writing skill. keep writing 🙂
Oh how we would have loved be in the audience for that particular perfomance of Peter and the Wolf.
That poem certainly helped start our day with a smile.
As always Phenny, your poem is great. Big hugs

Bwwwahahahaha… determination was part of this past
and today you made us smile with this stage-worthy blast!!!
Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
What a great poem and tale! I would have loved to see your mama kicking the hag.
BOL!
Boys I do believe you have outdone yourselves with this “ode to Mom’s dancing career” !! Obviously she was one determined dancer and thanks to her contacts, she got some parts so she could prance on the stage. She really was – and still is – “The Dancing Queen” !!! This is definitely one of your bestest poems yet boys………Angel Sammy will love it.
Hugs, Teddy
Well done the Mama! Persistence (and contacts) does pay off 😀
Your poems are always the bestest and we love the photo of the two of you!
They say it is not what you can do, it is who you know. At least your mom was persistent.
Boogie on the Momma, ya done good!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Overlook Twins…your mom OUT DID herself today what a story full of great Effort and determination. There is nothing worse than a naggin’ hag as any kind of teacher. Having fun in the beginning makes for lots more fun later.
MOLMOLMOL we love that last photo.
Hugs madi your bfff
Love this poem about your Mama’s dancing! So proud of your Mama!
Ahpaws Ahpaws. Your mom is a prima ballerina.
I think she deserves new shoes from the Louie Bton store. Or Jimmy chew.
xo Astro and Mitzie.
I heard Abba’s “Dancing Queen” in my head all the while I read this. I am impressed with your mama’s dancing career. I was only a bumblebee once. My roll was to dance around and pinch a flower. I pinched too hard and the flower cried. End of career.
well done… standing ovations for the bumblebee ;O) my parents were not really proud… a mother in their row asked who’s that horrible hellion on the stage….. my father said: no clue…
We loved this poem. Your mom sure was determined to be a dancer. You boys sure look relaxed sleeping on your bed.
BOL! You paint such a vivid picture!
I spent a life in auditions too! I loved being in the “chorus” as a dancer, I got to be on stage, sing and dance, and not have pressure of being the star! I wish I could see you, there must be videos of your performances somewhere!
LeeAnna
sadly not….. I had 3 giant photos of my pixie disaster but they got lost as we moved 87 times. I hope they never appear, I looked like a nightmare instead a summer nights dream ;O))))
Very good, Overlook twins! We like your Mama’s spirit!🎭
I did not know the Mama was a prancer of a professional dancer! This is quite a tail about a Mama who could not fail…cuz she’s awesome and stuff and likes to listen to two gray dogs that speak Ruff. Hugs to you all there today. Hope your staying cool – it’s still hot as ever here.
Wonderful poem ! You two look totally relaxed, stay cool ! Purrs
GAH! The Mama got her chance in the spotlight by hook or by crook. That is good determination…
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We find out so many interesting things about your Mama from your stories. How about a story about your Dad, too?
Wish we could have seen Peter the Wolf cause it sounds like my acting career.
Jean
Apaws Apaws Apaws!! Love the poem and love that your mama did not give up!

I have no idea how you have the patience for a poem that long. Very well done and quite entertaining
OMD, that is a FABulous poem! Sounds like Ma’s dance career! (minus the contacts and FABulous stint at the theater! BOL)
I bets your Moms had funs though! That’s what dancin’ is all abouts after all!
