this is post n°3 for today… good things come in trees… right?

Bacon asked for a dessert or a sweet treat  and here we are …


* because it was untasty

you need:

a pack with pastry dough 0.89 euros/$$ 1.08, 2 eggs,  one dozen 1.65 euros/$$ 2.01, a jar of  apple sauce 1.99 euros/$$2.43

..throw the dough in a mold and make some holes in it with a fork…and bake it for 20 minutes or till it is golden brown …. (480F/250°c)

separate the eggs and beat the eggwhite till it is stiff …

…if your base it ready, reduce the heat in your oven to 140°c/280F, throw the apple sauce on da dough and add the eggwhite …

… let it bake for another 30 minutes at this low temperature…

…. lemme try that…. uuuuuaaaarks… buuuaaah the mama that was no lucky strike… the eggwhite is like bubblegum and not crispy as meringue should be… I give ya an E- for that…

…and you give me a chewing bone for my help and my objective and honest rating….

..and because it’s also FLOWER FURRYDAY, hosted by Rosy and da Boyz, I will share something with you what flowered in my kitchen  as we were not at home… I think it happened accidentally and I hope the mama will not kill it with their 10 black thumbs…

    Momma comes from a long line of pie bakers…. and sez da meringue hasta have some sugar in it ( a lil cream of tartar helps, too). The egg whites should be at room temp before beaten. And it’s only cooked until very lightly browned– usually 10-12 minutes.

    I sez I wud eat it anyways…bol, bol.

    And dat is one purdy flower!!
