BON CHEW,

to a new round of Angel Sammys and Teddys Paw-e-thaton… This week the ginger boyz picked this prompt photo:

TULIPS …  We love tulips and so I tried to write a tulipoem…

Once many moons ago, the people traveled to and fro,

to the far awayestest places of da earth

to buy there something was had a ginormous worth

not gold nor silver they bought on their trip they bought little onions called TULIP.

The tulips became a valuta and they even traded them at da bourse,

and it ended for some traders eggs-tremely worse.

The whole tulip-mania was a giant bluff and the tulips became common and all purpose  stuff.

They even were in the junkstore today and the mama was not able to walk away…

For 89 cents she had them to take…although they were just a plastic   fake.

But nevertheless tulips are a wonderful thing

and the bestest ambassadors of spring.

HAVE A PAWETHIC THURSDAY ALL

Da Phenny, bard of Blogville! This is a most wonderfurs ode to the very pretty tulip! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. Plastic tulips are swell because they last FUREVER! They won’t fade or drop their petals – they just decorate the place for Spring. Did your Mom add those to her Easter table display? Your poem is PURRFECT – we love tulips here too but my Mom has planted them 87 times and the squirrels have dug them up and eaten them every single time. We’re going with PLASTIC ones like you!

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. We love your poem. But Spring’s ambassadors have yet to make it to Aberdeen…

(Reminds me of when I was a kid and the neighbor planted a special tree that was supposed to have flowers – but it never did….until under cover of darkness one time dad and I crept over and tied white plastic tulips on all over the branches. It was great. …yes, mom often pretended wh didn’t know us HAHA)
    Happy almost weekend and howlidaze!

A lovely poem about tulips. The fake ones are easier to take care of. Soon the real ones will be here.

Sweet poem on tu-lips, Phenny. They are very pretty flowers, but the Momster has not had good luck getting them to flower in a nice clump like in that beautiful photo from Teddy.

Petcretary’s furmily came from Holland, the great land of the tulip…and that picture reminded her of the time she got to visit the Keukenhof gardens. So lovely!
