to Teddy’s and Angel Sammy’s PAW-E-THATON… this week the prompt is this picture:

…and it brings back a memory of  a special ballon ride… but we rather have this event in our heart where it has a warm and comfy place, so I let my imagination fly with that balloons and write about something what actually happened in my crazy furmily…

As the great auntie of the mama turned 80 years

a life full of work but she never knew fears,

her son had the unhowly sh*t idea

to spend her a balloon ride although we all said NAY!

he hired a balloon and a balloon chauffeur

and the auntie was ready to fly up in the air.

But the wind was there and  he blew the shaky construct

in the trees where it tipped and the aunty was sucked.

We all excused and tried to pick her up  from that place

and  she said that was a lame try of heritage chase.

But she will remember us vultures and all the fret

and she sure will die once butt definitely NOT YET.

And so the whole family was under suspect,

because  of her son, that sleazy subject.

  2. Oh DEAR!!!! That sounds like a wild ride, Da Phenny!

  3. YIKES! Now that’s one balloon ride that didn’t exactly turn out as EXPECTED! We have a special spot in our hearts for hot air balloons too…..and remember all who were involved in making that day special. Phenny I hope you don’t try to send your Mom and Dad up in a balloon – heaven only knows what would happen if your Dad tried to adjust the hot air!!!! EEEEK!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. OMGoodness, P. That is one crazy balloon ride. Every rider’s worst nightmare I’m sure!

Okay, until I read this I was thinking that I should add a balloon ride to my bucket list. Scratch that… hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my word. OMCs…that is my mom’s fear come true. LOL To get in the balloon and have a fierce wind send her head spinning and her heart sinking.
Thank goodness all turned out well.
    We loved these lines
“But she will remember us vultures and all the fret

and she sure will die once butt definitely NOT YET.”
    Hugs madi and mom

What a beautiful picture. That’s how Dorothy and Toto tried to get home from Oz, you know, but only an appreciation for and real desire to go home got them there.

  10. That sounds a bit scary. Our grandpa used to own a balloon and one of the most important things about flying was to make sure there was almost no wind at all. It’s better to scrap a ride than end up in the trees.

  11. Brian says:

Great poem Phenny but I don’t want to go up in a balloon, those balloons hiss louder than my sisters!

  12. Piglove says:

  13. Kismet says:

My peeps would be perfect for this. They’re full of hot air.

  14. Oh my goodness, that is a terrible tale of a misconceived birthday present idea.

  16. Jan K says:

Well, at least everyone came away with a story to tell, or a poem to write! 🙂

  17. LOL…the things our relatives think we’d like to do! But it sure was a great poem, Phenny.

  18. Bella, Roxy and Dui says:

Some ideas should be carefully thought through….then, thought about again and again! What a game lady to go up in the balloon, though at 80 she probably didn’t have much fight in her.

  19. Lee says:

I want to hear the crazy family story! Truth is better than fiction. We had a hot air balloon get snagged in our giant oak over our house once. The had to drop ropes to the ground and pull to free the hot air balloon. Not Fun!
    Thanks for being a friend

  31. OMD! What a fun poem…but how scary too. Glad it had a happy ending…those kinds of things plague our skies each summer for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. And along with them noisy flying machines. Makes us bark and bark to scare them off.
