with da DB BOYZ and ROSY

…furst: a Rose for Rosy… it was the last one we saw at that bush…and I bet it waited for me and the mama with the cam.

…some dusty pink, one of the trendy colors of this fall…

…then some latebloomer hydrangeas…

…a bamboo bush

….a radish tree?…or tomatoes?

…a palm tree with 87k seeds… the mama gathered a handfull and planted it in her flower pot… nothing happened… since last fall..

some ducks…

…and the view over the lake… it is a little like Bonjour Tristesse, butt that’s fall… the silent season…

…and last butt not least a weimflower surrounded by colorful leaves…

HAVE A COLORFUL FLOWER POWER FURRYDAY ALL

  1. Mom loves those big round snowball-type hydrangeas – and says those blue ones are amazing, especially this late in the season. Folks here seem to plant mostly those ones shaped liked cones. Still pretty, but not as much to Mom.

You sure live in a pretty place, Phenny. Thanks for sharing with me.
    Woof! TINK

Lovely flowers Phenny. My Mum wanted those big BLUE hydrangeas, they were BLUE the furst year but then turned a yucky washed out muddy colour….flowers are not her forte!
    Loves and licky kisses

  3. We love this colorful post, P. The flowers and leaves are pretty, and you make them even prettier!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  4. You found lots of beautiful flowers, Phenny, but those are not radishes – those are rose hips. Mom says that you can brew a tea with them that has tons of vitamin C. She has never done it before but she’s read it.

  5. weggieboy says:

Those hydrangeas are very fussy about the soil they are grown in. No wonder the deep blue ones are prized so much! They only come about when the soil is exactly what the plant wants, and that seems to be a very narrow range.

I am surprised my roses are still blooming we have had 3 heavy frosts the only thing I can come up with is they are protected by so many trees. Also my snowball bush is still in bloom we have had a strange season thus far.

  7. Emmadog says:

Flowers are history around here, but we have beautiful fall leaf colors right now.

  8. Hi Phenny & hoomans! It’s nice to see things still blooming. I still see a few random flowers giving their all to flower so late.
Three pink poofy flower is a Joe Pye weed. Not really a weed… The radish bush is a rose, the radishes are the seeds, called hips. You can make jam/jelly from them. Mmmmm!

  9. Lovely photos, Da Phenny! We still have some beautiful roses in our garden!

    Woofs,
    Tommy

Thank you for bringing flowers to the screen – so pretty! My favorite picture is the view over the lake. I would love to live right next to such a view each day.

As others have told you – those are rosehips; can make great syrup for eyes cream – or a tea… and that is not bamboo over yonder, but pampus grass… no less pretty for it though! Best of all was the weim-flower… hgus and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  15. You sure found some pretty flowers Phenny. We see that others have let you know that the “radish tree” is a rose bush. We like to leave the rose hips on the bush all winter so the birds can use it for food. They like to eat them when they are all dried up and shriveled looking and there isn’t much else to find.

  16. Kismet says:

Late bloomer? That’s me. I’m so late and haven’t bloomed yet.

  17. My favorite is the weimflower…….a fragrant bloom indeed!

    Hugs, Teddy

We used to havea rose bush that made those prety pretend tomatoes, but the birds loved them…and so do other critters. They are good fur peeps too:)

Anypaws our bush got really huge and old and then it gave up:(
Now we only have some grass there…but at least if someone or somefur falls there, they won’t get all full of thorns:)

You do live in a picturesque area!

  34. some beautiful colors in those flowers
