we sadly could not travel because of the newest diy-disaster of the mama…
her dream was to change the color from the text highlighter pen -orange to a more moderate color…… although I think the screaming highlighter orange fits to howl-o-ween…
… because the green papers are wasted at the shoe store rare here, she mixed the paint with her own paws…
…. the result should be turquoise, butt it looked more blue-ish like a faded undie-color…
the mama said the whole oeuvre is done within two days butt she was totally wrong… like always…
…there were a lot of oops-tacles and … hey who is INDAWAY? ME? NO WAY!
…butt even when the mama cursed like a drunken sailor and howled because of muscle aches of non eggsistant muscles , I liked my job as the shoe-guard…
…after 5 days instead just 2 , the horror was over and even when it is not the color she eggs-pected, she said she can live with it…
HOWLELUJAH! (the non color is because of the sh*t windows phone sorry)
…we are relieved that the mama is satisfied and we hope this satisfaction lasts for a looong looong time…
…there is just one thing what tempers the delight… THE CARPET…
….because it stinks… not like dirt or pee or poo… it stinks like endless trouble… because the color is a dirt magnet…
…and my dad should be careful to leave pawprints here…
…he could incur the displeasure of the mama and that ends mostly not well but in da next diy-disaster…
…maybe therefore she bought this new treat jar… that looks promising, right?
…butt no worries the mama I clean that with some weim-spit…

The new colour looks much nicer. When we started to repaint a room the colour was called Primrose. we got as far as one wall and it looked more like nightmare vomit yellow. We mixed in lots of white to get it to a better colour and looks nicer now.
colors can have strange names… my granny had one called sandy beach… it was probably the beach from barbie because she has pinkish stairs now ;O)))
Weim-spit must be good for anything, right Phenny…MOL… Your mom did a great job on the color, it really looks fantastic…we like the flowers on the kitchen cupboard too..very artistic. Under your …supervision everything will work out fine 😀 Pawkisses for a trouble free day 🙂 ❤

Gosh…….your house is always upside down with DIY projects but just think – if there wasn’t SOMETHING going on it would be VERY boring! It looks very different in the blue and I bet The Mama is already planning the NEXT re-painting job in honor of Fall or Christmas??????

Yes, it does look nice! I would be like momma while painting: temporary personality change for the worse! (I’m not a fan of painting!)

At least you know the carpet is dirty. If it was dark, it would be a filthy mess and you wouldn’t even know it!
Indaway!?!? No way! That’s impossible. Clearly, the mama doesn’t know the difference between a helpful assistant and indaway. I think it all looks pretty, including the rug with your daddy’s special signature.

My Mama hates to paint, so she doesn’t. But she likes wallpaper, installed by someone else. We are going to compromise and have the outside of the house painted…..
So glad that after all of that, the color is acceptable. Phenny you have a lot of dyi projects to look forward to. Best get used to them. Your mama likes change I think….lol.

We think the new color is a definite improvement over the highlighter color. Why does is always seem to take the humans longer to finish a project than they think?
We like the color. What you needed for the project was a few cats to walk in the paint and then do colored footprints on the floor. Yep, that happened here.
We like the new color too. It’s nice a light now to see up the stairs.
Thank goodness no disasters with this DIY project.

Totally liking the new color. A little baking soda and spritzed vinegar should take care of the paw prints. We made the mistake of getting a cream colored rug (I know with 2 dogs-what was I thinking). Thats been the only thing that works magic on the paw stains. Good luck. Green paper must be saved for winter boots. 😄

I think those colors are really pretty, my mom is currently hooked on annie sloan chalk paint and she is painting everything in sight and distressing it to look old, none of it makes any sense to us and we hid when the paint brushes come out. we love that carpet we would pee on it all the time. stella rose
We are thinking here that the colour is nice, and five days for all that work is pretty good going compared to Gail, who can find excuses for ever and a day to do ANYTHING rather than DIY (especially painting)…

Some Petcretary thinks looks great…others…well not her style, BOL!!! Like that carpet, OMD! Butt…well ours is a beige color and its the best dirt magnet evfur! Ugh. And furs and kitty litter defy any vacuuming work too…even her Dyson can’t get it all, though it bravely tries:) Oh and of course no vacuum gets out the barkies or the drips…sigh…
We have a gate like yours…and Dalton just ambles right through it into the no doggy zone…he follows Pipo, BOL! Then the fun starts in earnest! Yikes! So green papers had to be scrounged up for a new gate with tiny openings. And tall…he is a jumper too:)
