BON CHEW
to a new letter of the alphabet for Angel Sammy’s Pawetry-Thursday.

The letter is D and the prompts are: DANDELION DARK DANGER DINNER…
… and here we go:
DANDELIONS are not really a DANGER

butt for peeps they are the reason of anger

they grow efurrywhere even in the DARK

till they end as DINNER for this shell wearing shark…
…. butt wait, wait wait… that’s not the end of my pawetic gush…
A real DANGER starts with with the same letter too
it’s called DIY or DISASTER or DOOMSDAY… duh!
We still stick with that kitchen from hell
and I can hear the mama yell…
who came up with this crap? so asked SHE
and then she noticed: oh sh*t, is was ME!
my dad said it has to hold for the next 20 years
of course, it tooks 19 of them till the mess disappears…
the half thing is done, the staff is k.o.
butt there is still the other half to do…
UHOH!
HAVE A TROUBLEFREE THURSDAY ALL

These were funny poems, we both laughed – Mom doesn’t like her kitchen either. What IS it about moms and kitchens? My Mom said that if your dad had to prepare all the food until that kitchen were perfect it probably wouldn’t even take the next 20 months!
Woof! TINK
Glad that Helmut is able to disappear your dandelions — clever fellow.
Outstanding poetry, Da Phenny!
By the way, our #1 LOVES dandelions. She is a strange human!
Woofs,
Tommy
Phenny your poem is magnifique! I’m glad Helmut is finding plenty of fresh dandy-lions in your yard for his fresh salads AND glad to see that your DIY Hero, Dad, is getting the kitchen ship-shape with your Mom’s decorating ideas……purrrhaps the second half of the kitchen will be done soon???? Wonder what exciting ideas your Mama will come up with for the next DIY project……maybe getting a bigger “pad of shame” for your bigger butt now that you are no longer a mini-weim???????????????
Thanks for doing Poetic Thursday with us……..you’re a real WINNER.
Love, Teddy
Helmut the shell wearing shark…i is still laffings over that one!
Loves and licky kisses

So true, dandelions are everywhere…wish my veggies grew like them. Your DIY poem was a riot Phenny. Your momma is having such a rough time. Soon it will be done for the next 20 years. MOL

I am glad that Helmut got a mention after so long… and you all should take his lead, cuz dandy-lie-ons make good salad – oh yes indeed, those leaves, fresh new ones, are great in mesclun (they make a good alternative to rocket), The flowers are sweet and crunchy, and can be eaten raw, or breaded and fried, or even used to make dandelion wine. The root of the dandelion can be dried and roasted and used as a coffee substitute, or added to any recipe that calls for root vegetables… but of course, you need to be sure that there have been no weed-killers used for at least 12 months – and remove the flowers before they turn to seed. Lesson over. &*> Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Bravo Bravo Bravo standing ovation Da Phenny!! Oh I am sorry but we are laughing our heads off too. THE DIY part was soooooooooo funny. We might need a Helmut here to eat some weird weeds we have growing
Hugs madi your bfff
Oh, it’s fun to see Helmut! Well, the part of the kitchen that is done looks great! Love your poem… very good… and funny!
Oh th was GREAT! Momma this year did not kill the Dandelions in the lawn this year because it’s the first flower and the bees need them. Without bees the world would suffer. Plus momma’s friend has a shelled friend who loves the things.
Blessings,
Buddy
Awesome poem, P. Very inspirational. I think it is encouraging that the kitchen is half done. Half done is better than undone or none-done.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Love it brother and the kitchen is looking fabulous for sure! XOXO – Bacon
“You’re a poet and your feet show it” is a silly thing my friends and I used to say when we were kids in elementary school.
Watch out for those DIY projects, Phenny!
Nice poetry, Phenny. Hopefully your pawrents have built up enough steam to finish the DIY project sooner than 19 years since they’ve had much practice and know how to do it now. 🙂
Your entire place will be revamped by the time the DIY is done!
Nothing goes smoothly there so it’s not boring.
So that’s where the heat has chased all our dandelions to – your yard…it’s OK. You can keep them. Please.
Phenny, DYI projects should only be started in the fall…to remove any excuse of it being too hot now to complete them. That’s the excuse for about 4 of them here. Sigh.
Hope your staff can get their projects done quickly …and not start any new ones until you say so….a dog needs attention – aaaalllll the attention. Paw waves
Your poem pawfectly described the DIY drama and trauma! Crossing our paws for the finished project!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
We have heard of dandelion salad

Your poem was amazing! Nice work!
Great work on the poetry! SHE always plucks those dandelions out when they are yellow, so we don’t have any anymore.
Sweet Phenny we must say you are a mighty fine poet and these poems were funny and made us giggle. We hear dandelions are good to eat but we don’t think we want to eat them. We think they will grow anywhere. We hope the DIY project will get all done soon. Hugs and nose kisses
Your poetry brings a smile to my face and I hope your DIY projects don’t ruin your place! BOL!
Great poem, Phenny! Mom can’t understand why some peeps like to eat dandelion greens. They’re so bitter!
BOL…We love today’s poems, especially the dandelion shark and the DIY poem!
xoxo

What fun poems, Phenny! You are great at composing them! Petcretary had the biggest giggle about what your Mama thinks about her kitchen…I think I have heard pawlenty of those kind of remarks here too…and she did not even change hers…BOL! It came that way and she wonders why they evfur bought this joint. Oh wait…she married the dude who did that…and the den came with him:) So truly she only has herself to blame for the last thirty years of using the selfsame kitchen…sigh…
Have fun with the rest of the DIY troubles, Phenny!
You nailed it…two things that can always be counted on in life….humans hate dandelions and Moms are never happy with their kitchens.
Very nice poem little one! !Loving it 😀
I love that your poetry tells a good story.
Oh yes our dad hates the dandelions but Hazel loves to eat them.
Great poems Phenny!
hugs
Hazel & Mabel
Oh dude, you are a MASTER at the poetry! And your peeps are mastering the DIY projects! I haven’t heard of one need for a Band-Aid! BRAVO!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Our pawrents don’t care for those dandelions much either. Great poems Phenny.
You are quite the poet Phenny
Dandelions are pretty, almost as pretty as that black wall that Mick Jagger must have painted!
Oh MeOW Phnny, we think your kitchen looks great. Ours is really small, so anythin’ bigger than mommy’s arm stretch is a blessin’. Bog hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
always a dyi at your house huh? I think the kitchen is beautiful.
