BON CHEW,

on sunday evening we left our crib to travel to Josselin, a beautiful medieval town in our area. Sadly we couldn’t visit the castle and the duke who lives there, because there was an event  and the whole town was crowded… we refused to squeeze ourselves between the other sardines there and walked along the canal…

…like the name Tard… it has something hehehehe

…it was a beautiful and quiet place along old walls and gardens…

…with beautiful old houses what landed immediately on the wishlist of the mama….I think that architectural style is called picturesque or something like that and that means  the mama will get only the picture, because our  account balance  is grotesque……

…..there was not one soul and we felt like the last dinosaurs of Pangea…

…till people in canoes appeared and interrupted our peaceful walk with their loud screaming…

…I immediately pointed and  screeched at them with my bestest falsetto-voice…

…see… mission completed… they paddled away in a wild stampede… or paddle-ede…

…the mama was very proud of me ….

… she said I’m impawsible…  I’ll take that for a compliment…

… we then saw a small lock and we came at the right time, the lock-guy just locked a small boat through that thingy…

…butt sadly the mama was too lame to run to that lock so we missed the locking and  have only the locked boat… another kind of watergate-fail…

…on the way back we meandered though a small secret garden and my daddy even knew an abbreviation…

… where we landed behind bars at the end…sounds familiar,  right Jean&Bill?

…we waddled the whole way back and because my daddy had a good day, we found the way back to the elephant skate without hiring a taxi driver…

… that is not bad if you ask me…

… I was eggs-hausted butt happy and we will come back to see the town too when the pawty there  is over…

HAVE A TREMENDOUS TUESDAY ALL

What a place–thank you, for sharing

  3. Mom says this is too far away to take me (like our trip to the woods and the cabin) – but it looks soooooo pretty I wish we could go there too. I loved seeing the pictures – and seeing your Mom and Dad too. What a great day, and you are great to share it with US!
    Woof! TINK

Benji and I don’t like crowded, noise places, but you seem top have managed a good walk along the canal bank. Sorry, Mama, I thought the house was very odd looking but then we only saw part of it. I would like to see the town sometime – when the pawty is over and the place is quiet.

  5. Canal walks are such good fun, and well done scaring away those pesky paddlers, Phenny.
    Toodle pip!

  8. How sensible to keep away from the crowds!

  9. Brian says:

Thanks for taking us along Phenny and we think you need that castle so you’ll have to go back and check it out!

  10. What a pretty little town! Too bad it was crowded with peeps butt you and your Mom and Dad found a pretty little river to walk beside and plenty of action to be had with warning off the paddlers and watching the boat go through the lock……the BIG BONUS was actually finding your car when it was all over! It was a WIN/WIN! You should visit again for sure……there probably will be some peemail to pick up by then!

    Hugs, Teddy

  11. Ha ha! Watergate! 😂🤣
Glad you got out and stretched your paws. I don’t know if I’d go to the turd event… Sounds like something I can do at home. 😉

  12. A beautiful walk and I am proud of you too for making the screamers paddle away!

  13. Looks like a lovely and very peaceful place! Very nice pointing and getting rid of those canoe people!

  14. Goose says:

What a great walk, especially since you did not get lost. If you went to the Turd event you could have left one of your own. Maybe next time.
    Blessings,

  15. You sure get out to some pretty places!

  16. Good for you for scaring away the paddlers, Phenny. A peaceful quiet beautiful walk is the best walk!

  17. lapaylor says:

I just love seeing these towns and hearing about your adventures. If the mama is lame you should carry her on your strong back. It’s only fair…

  18. That looks like fun! I’d like to shout with canoers too.

  19. You sure told those canoers off…and they even heeded your woofs. Impawssible?! Haha! I have heard that term too…What a fun post this was. And that looks to be a nice place to put on your repeat it list.

  20. That sure looked like a fun place for a walk. We can’t wait to see more of it when you go back sometime.

aaww brother. What a fun time you had in the wooded area. I love adventures like that – far, far away from peeps who try to stalk my little pork butt – snots with piggy laughter. Make sure you check out my blog this afternoon about what my mom/dad did over the weekend. You won’t believe it – HA! XOXO – Bacon

  22. Kismet says:

Don’t even think about getting a house like that. It looks like a fixer-upper and would provide no end of dangerous DIY projects.

What a wonderful walk! Of course you didn’t want those canoe-ers to disturb your peaceful walk, did you, Phenny? Just doing your job! You often go so unappreciated, don’t you? 🙂

  25. dorysbackyard says:

We don’t like squeezing in with the masses either, Phenny. What a wonderful walkie you and your peeps had!

W think that was a fabulous–and exciting place to visit!

  33. I think you were very brave and courageous to scare away the canoe dudes, P. Peace and quiet be damned. When screamers come. you must take matters into your own paws. Well done.

  34. Charles Huss says:

That looked way better than the crowds.

  35. It is good that you scared off the canoeists. They often mean harm.

  36. It was a great time to visit the area of picturesque walls and gardens. I’m proud that you barked those rowdy canoers away!

  37. OMD, Phenny, you and your peeps have the bestest adventures!!! Good job keepin’ those boaters away from your pack….can’t be too careful!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  38. mol, mol, haha..What a grand walk. We like the secret garden with the bars…we cry, “Don’t fence me in” whenever we see bars. hehe…heck we liked the whole thing. We don’t have quiet interesting places like this near us.
Mom wondered why you don’t have a taxi driver on retainer…hehe Maybe he’d work for kibble.

At first glance, I thought you added a teenage girl to your family and then you said that’s your MOM. She’s so pretty. I had fun with my dog walker Jan today while Mom worked and Dad was out of town. We didn’t get to make noise at any strange water creatures, but I did go full on point on a chocolate bar wrapper (but then I saw it was the lousy American version of Cadbury and growled).

What a fun walk we can’t wait until you go back. mom loves seeing the French countryside! Love Dolly

  43. Seems like a fun outing (unless you’re a canoe-er but serves them right for interrupting the peace and quiet).

  44. It looks like a fun trip ! Purrs

  45. Anarette says:

You look very happy too Phenny. Hope you get to run in the castle next time. Be sure that they don’t lock you up in the tower.
