BON CHEW,
guess what? I had the furst BBQ of my life… The mama said we will celebrate that event a little with sitting outside and with a decorated table… butt…
…as I looked up to the sky…
…50 shades of gray… how great… that means we can furget to sit outside…sigh… what a crap, seems da furst bbq of my life is ruined now…
…but my dad said he can do a BBQ even wearing a fur coat and even in siberia…so no worries…
…and I watched him that he will eat nothing of my stuff…
…hey… I said NOTHING!
…the staff got tuna steaks and for me there was turkey ….
…I decided to stay next to that dad and to guard that food on the grill… the only warm place in my backyard… the temperatures changed over night from 28°c(82f) to 16°c(60f)… that means a cold butt for me and a meowgraine for the mama…
…and after 87 hours… it was ready…
..the tuna steaks…
and salad and chiabatta bread and newman’s sticky bbq-sauce…
…and here comes my plate… with green beans, carrots and rice…
…. I think I like BBQ although it is probably a kind of a diet… because there wasn’t enough on that plate….
…. butt next time I will get two plates… wanna bet?

HAH! Well DP, gotta tell ya that the MacFamily also had a go at a BBQ the one day that sun actually bared itself to us on the Northern Trip… we did manage to sit outside; wrapped like eskimos!!! You are one super lucky pupster to be getting turkey fur your meal. Here’s to getting at least a second BBQ before ‘summer’ is done. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Love your food. All I get is lousy Kangaroo and potatoes. I could have a plate competition with you. How many could we get through in the shortest amount of time. I have a lot of experience and I’m told all the time I eat too fast so I think I would have shot 🙂

Phenny, there never is enough when your stomach is delighted with the plate you get~! The important thing is your people love you so much they grill that plateful for you in the first place. Dogs in some places still risk being ON the grill…oh dear! Ley’s fortget about that

YAY! Glad you got your first BBQ even though it was a bit nippy outside! Your Dad cooked you up some nice looking turkey with fixings but next time if you’re QUICK I think you could steal their tuna steaks for an appetizer! HAHAHA

That looks like the best BBQ ever, P. Shades of grey and all! Your plate was pretty big, especially considering that when Mom shares foods with me, I get one green bean and a piece of chicken the size of a marble. Maybe if you get 2 plates of BBQ, I can get 2 green beans and 2 chicken marbles…

Yum… tuna steaks! You all are having a lot of rain. It seems to have stopped here for awhile but it has been dreary and humid! Maybe you could work out more turkey for your plate the next time Phenny! I think your mama know how much you should have… I had too much to eat last night and now I have to walk off the calories!

Phenny, I think you need to be more specific in your demands. Two FULL plates! You don’t want to be given two plates, each with only a half portion now do you? (Humans can be sneaky that way, so one has to make sure the small print in all contracts is carefully worded).

You are one lucky dog Phenny. We only get scraps, you get a balanced, scrupulously served plate. You also have a nice little patio to BBQ.
Our Mom loves to cook steaks and burgers and veggies on the grill and she even does it in the rain:) But this weekend she hooked up a new propane tank and bah – it wouldn’t light. She was not happy about having to cook inside. For us, no problem, we still got some burgers:)
