we had a terrible thunderstorm what nearly blew my crib away…
…it came from above….
…. and it also came from below…
…. and my daddy in his yellow pj fought the water with a dustpan and f-words….like the fearless sailor of a sinking ship who braved the disaster till the end… what a hero, the dustpan was even damaged and gnawed by a naughty pup, so it was technically more a sieve…
… my kraal became to little venice because the crates were blocked by the dirt the tractors lose on our streets…
…thanks to our mayor for making my crib to a swimming pool, to get a whole pool for the crummy 200 bucks we pay for street cleaning efurry year is super generous…
butt we will row pull though that, with bullysticks and buckets and mop’s…

Wow! That was some storm. I’m glad it didn’t blow your crib away What a hero your daddy is, braving the monster of a storm to save the crib and the family. Pity about the dust sieve though… Anyway, I am glad you are all ok.
Yikes! We thought those nasty storms were our lot, not yours too:(
No wonder MrBeethoven could compose a symphony(#6) with a thunderstorm in it, and Vivaldi did too, (4 Seasons, Summer).
Hope you can dry out before more wetness falls from the sky.
Your Dad’s next DIY project should be an ARK for the next epic rain storm! That’s a lot of WET……and thanks to the mud those grates in the street couldn’t handle the water…..too bad it decided to move into your crib. Is it time for another roof repair??? YUCK. I hope you get some SUN to dry things out.
I’m glad you are all ok and the video of the roses in the rain was lovely! There is talk of rain here and I hope it is intermittent….I’m tired of seeing feast or famine over everything to include water! Much love to you all there today!
Ooh NO Da Phenny!!!
Heavy rain and wind are so destructive. WE are so sorry your Dad had to deal with this all due to blocked drains. I hope and purr there was no permanent damage to your crib….tell mama next time she hops in the elephant skater to buy a new dust pan..that is puppy proof..if there is such. Mom told me when she was a wee girl dust pans used to be meta but she hasn’t seen one like that in YEARS and YEARS
Hugs madi your bfff
We can sympathize with you! We have had some terrible storms. We didn’t flood but we headed for the finished basement because of tornado warnings and had two giant Oaks uprooted. Hope you get dry and a new dust pan is found! We might, just might have uttered some f-words.
Oh my goodness! You want I start building a boat? We may need one soon here too. More rains are coming our way. I feel like a duck. Quack Quack – XOXO – Bacon
This is the time of year when we get lots of big thunder storms. We got lucky this week that the really bad stuff went farther south of us. Hope all dries up soon. Stay safe.
We’ve had some doozy storms here the last couple of days too; but luckily we didn’t get any help from the mayor to get a swimming pool. Though we have been kind of hoping for a pond….but not yet….
So glad you are all OK and hope things have dried about by now!
Wow, Phenny, I know how your Papa feels ! I don’t know if he would prefer all the mud we have over here to the pool. I am glad you all survived safely.
Yuck…a swimming pool inside and out. Water is hard to get to stay out. It kept me up all one night when the basement flooded in the old house. I was using towels and it didn’t take long to use all the towels up.
HOLY SWIMMING POOL! Phenny that was one big storm fursure! I sure am glads you help your peeps clean up the pond in your abode. Butts, on the upside, you nows could have an indoor pool! no?
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
That’s scary, Phenny. You need a boat to cross that garden. We’re expecting one too this weekend, so my boat is ready for it 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Dry Weekend 🙂 ❤
How high’s the water, mama?
Two feet high and risin’
How high’s the water, papa?
Phenney did you sing that song while everything was floating!
We have been getting those terrible rain also. I think our planet is mad at us for not taking better care of it.

The rain gets old fast though. Especially if you want to go swimming. 😎

So happy you are okay and mostly dry. Good on your dad for keeping you from floating away!
We are glad you didn’t float away in the storm.
We know the mess and worry of floods. They’re always worse to cope with when you know they were completely preventable 😦 Dry out soon.

With enough thrust, mom says I can do just that – FLY!! Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
If you have a drought, you’d complain.
Wow, that was quite the storm! Maybe your dad needs to build an ark!

You ARE having a lot of rain….inside and out! We hope you have your life boat packed and ready….just in case you need to move in with the Mayor.
You were very helpful putting holes in the dustpan so it wouldn’t get too heavy. Hope you dry out soon.

Oh, yikes, P. Floods should not be allowed to come from up and down and inside and outside! It’s too much water! And too much work! Ugh.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
That’s a lot of water. I hope you all dry out soon.
Abby Lab
So does this mean more DIY projects? So you got “rained out.”
Hallelujah for bullysticks

Oh no, rain is no fun especially when it leaks in the house and causes the humans to use the F word! Hope it stops soon!
Yuck…a swimming pool inside and out. Water is hard to get to stay out. It kept me up all one night when the basement flooded in the old house. I was using towels and it didn’t take long to use all the towels up.

Yikes I’m glad you didn’t get washed away.
I remember having to bail water as a kid in my parent’s basement during bad rains. No fun!
Yikes! Looks like a lot of rain. You could send some here.
