BON CHEW,

we had a terrible thunderstorm what nearly blew my crib away…

…it came from above….

…. and  it also came from below…

…. and my daddy in his yellow pj fought the water with a dustpan and f-words….like the fearless sailor of a sinking ship who braved the disaster till the end… what a hero, the dustpan was even damaged and gnawed by a naughty pup, so it was technically more a sieve…

… my kraal became  to little venice because the crates were blocked by the dirt the tractors lose on our streets…

…thanks to our mayor for making my crib to a swimming pool, to get a whole pool for the crummy 200 bucks we pay for street cleaning efurry year is super generous…

butt we will row pull though that, with bullysticks and buckets and mop’s…

“Until the moment she actually sinks, the Titanic is unsinkable.”

Wow! That was some storm. I’m glad it didn’t blow your crib away What a hero your daddy is, braving the monster of a storm to save the crib and the family. Pity about the dust sieve though… Anyway, I am glad you are all ok.

  3. MrJackFreckles/Pipo & Minko says:

Yikes! We thought those nasty storms were our lot, not yours too:(
No wonder MrBeethoven could compose a symphony(#6) with a thunderstorm in it, and Vivaldi did too, (4 Seasons, Summer).

Hope you can dry out before more wetness falls from the sky.

  4. We sure are glad you all are ok! We have had SO much rain here too! Too much!

  5. Your Dad’s next DIY project should be an ARK for the next epic rain storm! That’s a lot of WET……and thanks to the mud those grates in the street couldn’t handle the water…..too bad it decided to move into your crib. Is it time for another roof repair??? YUCK. I hope you get some SUN to dry things out.

    Hugs, Teddy

I’m glad you are all ok and the video of the roses in the rain was lovely! There is talk of rain here and I hope it is intermittent….I’m tired of seeing feast or famine over everything to include water! Much love to you all there today!

So happy you are okay and mostly dry. Good on your dad for keeping you from floating away!

  8. We are glad you didn’t float away in the storm.

  9. We know the mess and worry of floods. They’re always worse to cope with when you know they were completely preventable 😦 Dry out soon.

  10. Ooh NO Da Phenny!!!
Heavy rain and wind are so destructive. WE are so sorry your Dad had to deal with this all due to blocked drains. I hope and purr there was no permanent damage to your crib….tell mama next time she hops in the elephant skater to buy a new dust pan..that is puppy proof..if there is such. Mom told me when she was a wee girl dust pans used to be meta but she hasn’t seen one like that in YEARS and YEARS
    Hugs madi your bfff

  12. We can sympathize with you! We have had some terrible storms. We didn’t flood but we headed for the finished basement because of tornado warnings and had two giant Oaks uprooted. Hope you get dry and a new dust pan is found! We might, just might have uttered some f-words.

  13. What a huge rain cloud, it flew over our sky, too and gave us water and hails.

  38. Oh no, rain is no fun especially when it leaks in the house and causes the humans to use the F word! Hope it stops soon!

  39. Yuck…a swimming pool inside and out. Water is hard to get to stay out. It kept me up all one night when the basement flooded in the old house. I was using towels and it didn’t take long to use all the towels up.
