to a new diy- disaster in my crib. Last weekend the mama said the stairs need a makeover…

…and suddenly me and the dad pretended to be super busy with other things so we couldn’t hear what she said. I pretended business with staring holes in the air what worked pawfectly,

… butt the dad ruined the whole businesslike bee-havior with staring on the black screen of his monitor while cruising around with da mouse like stiring soup.  The mama saw that  and she sent us to eternal perdition the staircase…

….gaaaah… that looks awful, right?

…and my dad took the measurement for the new step covers immediately.

Sadly he used the carpet-stuff vice versa to mark the cut lines and therefore all that step covers ended arse about face…. nuclear meltdown at the female party of my crib, the argument of the male party, that the rubberized down side looks anyway much better got dismissed. Like the dad who got a major rocket furst and then the boot…

Wimmen and waiting starts with the same letter, butt nevertheless the two things are totally incompatible. And while the dad watched a F1 race made new carpet shreds , the mama painted the banister and the side parts of that stairs with black color… and therefore that day ended blacker than black, because…

Don’t touch the fresh painted banister!

See I told ya…. and uuuh , mama hands off of that banister!

… what a sh*t!!!

mooooooom! the banister!

…ummm… well… don’t furget the ba…

…. we could play that game till christmas and I can tell you that even today the paint is not dried completely…. no clue what crappy color the mama used, but it’s still impawsible to touch the banister without getting black paws…  it’s in the name huh? BAN-is-ter…. that means your paws should be banned from there…hehehehe

…nevertheless, while me and the dad watched that  F1 race, the mama finished the stairs. It’s not pawfect, specially with the two black spots on the left, what the mama created with her black banister-paws. We now wait till the banister ban is cancelled or we all will wear gloves from now on.

…and btw.  mom… the ba…

…oh furget it, let’s go back to the really essential things…

Your human female should pay better attention to her materials. After all – cheaply bought is bought twice.
I found a colour that is water-solvent (until dried) and dries fast:
    Hornbach – yippieyayayippieyippieyee – 2 in 1 Acryl-Buntlack
HORNBACH Acryl Buntlack ist Grundierung und Lack
in Einem.

it’s the weather; weather affects paint drying times… but on the whole the finished product doesn’t look so bad. I think your work will somehow be more artistic though Easy! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. Midwestern Plant Girl says:

There is never a dull moment at your house Easy!! Did the Mama accidentally buy finger paint? I thought so as she kept getting it all over her paws 😉
Well. Let’s hope it dries in less than 87 years.
The new stairs do look nice tho!

  9. What’s a little black paint considering all the other options? 😀

  10. DailyMusings says:

The stairs look good but a banister not to hold could be a problem Easy! Good thing you stick to stairs only!!

  11. It would have been cheaper to install a mini-elevator. Plus no black paint would have been involved! HAHAHA Actually other than the “forever wet paint”, the stairs look dandy….maybe she should put that handprint pattern on ALL the stairs instead of just that one??????????????????

    Hugs, Sammy
p.s. hope the shoe was tasty!

  12. saymber says:

It’s funny how that ban-is-ter color looks like mold…..take away the m and you get old. Love to you all there today!

  13. Emmadog says:

We would get our waggy tails and beards in the wet paint if it was at our house. The carpet on the stairs looks good…hope it is well secured so you don’t slip and fall.

But, gosh, Easy, those stairs look mighty fine. And it looks a lot nicer than a piece of art my mom hung in our apartment using thumbtacks. You’d think she’s back in college with the tackiness of it all. So I think that your stairs look great!

  27. We have some experience with the black paint phenomena. It must be universally made to stay wet furever and vex mama everywhere! Tell your mama the stairs look good!

  28. Frankie and Ernie says:

OMD Easy… WIMMEN and their CONSTANT insistence on thingys… being CHANGED… BUTT other than the BAN on the BANISTER… the Stairs look FABULOUS. Hope the Ban doesn’t last fur the FULL 87 Days or Weeks or Years…

  29. Gail is thinking it is lucky that you do not have the same ‘health and safety’ rules in your house as are in force in some of the offices where she has worked – where you MUST hold the bannister, and are immediately told off if you venture anyway near a staircase without clinging on for dear life. All because (she says) some idiot decided that the same rules that make sense if you are outdoors on a North Sea oil platform exposed to a hurricane should also apply inside a nice safe well built modern office….
(Sometimes you just have to let these humans have their little rant, don’t you?)

  30. Deziz World says:

Oh Easy, we’re surprised you didn’t have black paws or a tail. MOL Sorry ya’ll can’t hold da banister, must be difficult to walk up those steps. We know mommy would never make it. She’d be upside down after fallin’. Least she mostly wears pants. MOL Big hugs to all of ya’.

    Luv ya’

  49. In spite of everything the stairs look super. I like them.

  50. Maybe your mom mixed up pudding and paint. It will NEVER dry! Kind of missing the point of having a banister if you can’t touch it. This can be trouble…
