how was your weekend? Here the weekend was crazy… we all got something.

The mama got a cold, therefore I have to write my post today with my own paws….

…and I’ve got a new blanket….

…butt my dad got the best thing. It was a letter from  our water company. They noticed that our water clock is running constantly, so there is probably a leak somewhere. We have 14 days to find the leak and to fix it, otherwise they will cut off our water and they will send someone who will look for the problem. Needless to say that this is NOT for free…

… and while I looked for the best place to make a spy hole in that blankie, my dad looked for the leak. He found it. Me too.   The running water came from a sealing in a toilet tank what was worn out….

And while I marked  the perfect place for a hole, the dad tried to change the sealing…

Long story short, we need no new sealing now, we need a complete new  toilet set including tank and bowl…

…that’s normally no problem, butt like always… there is a hook…

To make sure that not only one single waterdrop will run away my dad used a baboon spanner to close the water inlet. You will  guess it, after tight comes off and he wrecked the whole thing… That means we are in the sh*t now… literally… butt at least the water company should be satisfied now, the only leaking thing in my crib is the nose of the mama….. and she needs no fixing by dad, just a truckload of tissues…

…and while I take a nap and dream about the place for the perfect spy hole, the dad is on the way to the diy-cowboy store to buy a new litter box  and a new intake…

Let’s send a collective ARRRRROOOO! to the sky that my crib is still there after they finished that pot job…

  1. Go for it Dad – we are all eyes and ears for how the next DIY even unfolds 😀 Hope Mama’s faucet dries up soon.

WEll, I am guessing there is more than one sit down place in your crib – else that garden spot you favour, Easy, may be getting shared!!! Joining in the arrrrroooooossss. Plus POPT for the mum. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

You always have something going on at your house Easy!! Yikes! The DIY project sounds a bit scary…not something I’d let mama attempt! Hope your mom feels better soon. Now, can you tell us how you got your paws on that keyboard??? We would LOVE to have creative license with the blog!! 🙂

  6. Getting a new toilet is usually fun and exciting. At your house it is dangerous and frightening. I hope your dad figures it all out and makes the water company happy. Also, you may want to share your new blankie with your poorly mom. Maybe with a peephole for her drippy faucet.

    Love and licks,

You are sure, Easy that was meant to be YOUR new blanket? The human female needs it more than you do. She might have bought it for herself. I know I do … Haptcheee … I have got a mean cold, too – with temperatures inside we never had outside … 38,6 °

  8. You are such a trip, Easy, and BTW, we love your new blankie! A new toilet will be nice. Don’t forget the wax o-ring!

Fixing something till it breaks seems to be the Murphys law curse

  10. Emmadog says:

Toilet repair is a real pain in the butt. Mom had to figure out how to fix two of ours a couple months ago as they were slowly leaking water and the noise was making her crazy. Hope your Mom feels better soon.

  11. Goose says:

I’m glad your dad did not decide to stuff your blankie in the toilet to stop the leak.

  12. cecilia07 says:

Easy I think maybe you need to tell your dad to GIVEITTOTHEWEIMARANERGIVEITTOTHEWEIMARANER!
when he returns….cause I bet you could fix it lickety split.

Seriously…we are sorry about the plumbing problems. They are a mystery to us too.
Hugs and purrs the repair is easy peasy
    Madi your bfff

  13. Charles Huss says:

Sounds like everybody is going to have to go where you go now. 🙂 Actually, when I had to replace my toilet, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to buy a Supper Mac Daddy toilet that could actually flush that blankie of yours.

  14. lapaylor says:

Hey guess what? They make blankies with holes called thermal blankies, no need to chew this pretty one up! Save your teeth for better things! Your dad can fix just about everything can’t he? Poor mama… maybe you should stay close to fetch more tissues in case she runs out

  15. Piglove says:

I do hope that you go the royal flusher installed today brother. I thought about you all day yesterday and last night. Send an SOS if you need me. You can always camp out at my pad for sure. XOXO – Bacon

some thing are just best to left to the professionals – maybe call a plumber next time 🙂

  20. Is there a fire hydrant nearby for the staff to use in the meantime?

That was nice of the water company to let you know there was a leak. I once accidentally left my leaky front yard hose on for about three weeks and never had a clue until I got that month’s bill….

  21. Kismet says:

Another DIY project. It’s a good thing that your dad isn’t a doctor.

  22. Deziz World says:

Oh Easy, we don’t think we’ve ever met anypawdy dat has so many house purroblems. Make sure your daddy wears a helmet, gloves, safety glasses and any other safety equipment he can find befur changin’ out those human pawdee boxes. MOL Sendin’ purrayers.

    Luv ya’

  23. Certainly a mischief mo(a)nday. Everyone probably needs “a truckload of tissues” after reading this – for either tears of laughter or commiserating sorrow.
But you’re the winner: Red is such a perfect color for blankets!

  24. niasunset says:

I am sorry to hear you mom catch cold, my best wishes for her, take care of her Lovely Easy! In the house problems never end, you know this… I am sending a big hug and love to you all, Thank you, Love, nia

  26. Jan K says:

Maybe you should hold off on your spy hole and share that blankie with your poor leaky Mom? Perhaps you should both hide under it until that new toilet is in and you can be extra sure it’s safe to come out again! 🙂

  27. grannyK says:

Oh, so sorry for your troubles. I hope it gets resolved quickly and I do hope your mom feels better fast. I woke with a cold today, too *sniff*

  28. Good luck to your dad ! Claire has a cold and tons of other funny things too, she spent Sunday and today sleeping or dozing under the blankie. Maybe you could invite your mom under your blankie to keep her warm ? Purrs

  29. Maybe your peeps can get a fancy Toto toilet from Japan with the seat warmer and it plays music. Hope your mom feels better soon!

  30. Brian says:

Dang, that qualifies as always something Easy!

  31. UHOH…..you know what happens with DIY is involved in your crib – dis-ass-ter! So sorry to hear it but just think – you won’t have the water company complaining and chances are the whole new toilet and intake are CHEAPER than having the water company look into things! Just work on that spy hole in your blankie…..SUPERDAD has stuff under control (although you might need to address the LEAK in you Mom’s nose!).

    Hugs, Sammy

  32. dorysbackyard says:

Oh boy…we hope your Dad gets that toilet all fixed up without and messes!!

  34. What a way to start the week! Good luck to your dad and fixing the toilet. Aren’t you glad that we don’t need toilets? We just go anywhere (as long as it’s outside). There must be something in the air, because my mom has a leaky nose too! She’s been sleeping all day today trying to feel better. Hope your mom feels better too, Easy. P.S. Love your blanket! ~Wags and woofs, Kona

  35. What an experience, Easy!! I love your new blanket but I’m sorry everything else is at sixes and sevens. 😦 Water leaks are the worst (or among the worst.)

  36. Oh dear, why did your dad even try to fix it without your snoopervision?? Nice new blankie!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  37. Oh Easy! I would be laughing my head off about this if it wasn’t for your Mom being sick. Hoping she is feeling better so that she can enjoy her brand new litter box!! xoxo

  38. harrispen says:

There never is an easy fix when it comes to your house is there Easy? Good luck to your dad.

    Millie & Walter

  39. DIY is highly overrated! It is more expensive too. The best way to deal with problems is a service call to the appropriate service place. However, with a male in the house, his feelings of superiority may be hurt so let him fix the problem and get new things once broken. Been there done that!! hehe

  40. Oh Easy! Sorry abouts the crapper goin’ to crap on your Pops. I can only hopes that your crib has more than one crapper, or your up the creek without an intake! Wells, I guess you can show them the bestest places to go in your yardie….BOL!!!
Paws crossed for your Pops and the new crapper…
    Ruby ♥

  41. Would you believe the very same thing happened to my assistant’s friend just a few weeks ago. Hope your parents get a new litter box, I mean toilet soon.

  42. UGH! We have had to change two different toilets. It is doable but not the MOST fun that you’ll have all day! BOL!

  43. That is one nice blanket! Sorry your mom has a cold and hope it goes away soon and your dad is the master at making more work for him. You all should go outside to the bathroom.

  44. Dolly the Doxie says:

Good thing you can always go outdoors instead of depending on dad, hope your mom is feeling better soon! Love Dolly

  45. edgar62 says:

Lovely Blanket – I likes it. Nice colours too. If there is no water, well what can I say expect drink wine instead…

  46. Hopefully all is well in the potty room and the mama is also better today. 🙂

  47. Oh no. Sometimes it is just easier and cheaper to call a plumber from the start. At least that is how it works in our house.

  48. Lavinia Ross says:

Sorry to hear your Mama is ill, and the toilet tank problems. Good you found the leak, they can be hard to pinpoint. We are on well water, and had a leak some years back. It was 3 feet underground, and a trench had to be dug… We could have used your digging powers!
