Hell-o,

furst, sorry for being awol for the weekend, butt it was  Fete du Battage on Sunday (Treshing Feast) what always happens when all fields are harvested. We always disappear after the pawrade, because the following part is with a lot of booze and clamor and we rather stay away from such events…

The pawrade sadly was not the same like all the years before, there were only some of the old farm machines  and no horses this time. Also the parking lot they created next to my garage looks a little empty by now. It’s not that the people will not celebrate the havest festival, it’s more that we all try to avoid crowds because of all the sh*t what happened this year in France. Our little village is not a strategical place for the evil, butt sadly the evil is everywhere…

The woman in my crib also commanded penal servitude and by ill luck I couldn’t escape like my daddy who said he will buy bark mulch I supported her, because I have a heart for dragons the mama…

may I help ya or what?

may I help ya or what?

oooooh let's see what we have there...

oooooh let’s see what we have there…

This garden looks sad…

IMG_2141

… and I eggs-actly know how to fix that problem…

IMG_2142

RRRRRIPPP…

RRRIPPP...

RRRIPPP…

IMG_2145

RRRRRIPPPP…..

IMG_2144

DONE!

IMG_2146

It looks much funnier with some confetti, right?

Look our weed  can walk the BLACK carpet now… to walk just  the line is too much cliché said the mama, hehehe

IMG_2174

Now we only need the dad with the bark mulch… I will look for him….

IMG_2175

Just the time as we finished that work, my dad popped up… WITHOUT bark mulch! To disappear with a lame eggs-cuse and to pop up with empty paws  after we did that donkey work has no class….  and deserters get a desert, at least a part of it…

IMG_2149

so take that, dad…

... and that too! ha!

… and that too! ha!

  2. Just when it was looking so lovely and tidy 😀

  3. Nice that you and your Mom got all that yard work done only to have your Dad NOT bring home the mulch as promised! Well, I’m sure you will think of some suitable punishment for that BIG MISTAKE of his. I do think you did a mighty fine job of destroying that plastic in the yard – confetti is FUN! Sorry your parade wasn’t as BIG as in the past – we remember your Mom’s movies of the parade from last year…

    Love, Sammy

  4. I’m glad that you had fun with the harvest festival, but sad that people weren’t able to celebrate as much because of all the scary stuff in the world. Looks like you were a huge help to your parents as always! What would they do without you.

  5. Midwestern Plant Girl says:

    Wow! Love the confetti!
Since daddy didn’t bring any mulch… Maybe you can rip a lot more up and use that as mulch? 😉

  6. Emmadog says:

Things sound a bit down at your place! Better shred some more stuff! We don’t have mulch. Mom says it looks great but she has no desire to keep putting it down every two years or so…she put rocks over it and they don’t disappear! Cheer up! It’s the Wabbit Tracking Event today!

    • Easy sadly eats rocks… maybe he wants to become a rockstar that way? I’m also not satisfied with the mulch-idea… maybe we will find a different thingy for that place :o)

  7. fredrieka says:

I can understand your Mumwithoutpaws she is right to keep you safe. Sad really when the bad guys win

  8. Hari OM
There are those who call this time as LAMMAS – and bake fresh breads from the harvested wheats and make merry – I guess the making merry does happen and that’s why you’s hide…. Good job filming all the tractors – loved the grey one with the pink tutu wheels!!! You did good garden work Easy. That deserves trreats… jus’ sayin’… hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. lapaylor says:

you are the champion shredder… is that an olympic event? Is there a world wide bark shortage? My mama would be mad if the Daddy showed up with empty paws..grrr… what? Couldn’t drive to another store what had bark? Maybe the Daddy got caught up in the pawrade and with all the waving to the crowd furgot the bark. LeeAnna

  10. Goose says:

It looks like to me that you can make your own mulch.
    Blessings,
    Buddy

  11. We are so impressed with your mulching ability. It’s a shame that it isn’t a Pawlympic event!

  12. Wow, Easy, you were SUPER helpful. Not like your silly dad!

  13. OwyheeStar says:

Easy you work so hard. Whatever would happen on a given day without you? Nada

  14. Two French Bulldogs says:

    You obviously boozed and clamorous
    Lily & Edward

  15. Mulch is the cherry on top of the sundae!

  16. Easy, your tutorial on shredding should inspire many!
So glad there was some celebrating. Old farm equipment is well worth the sniffs and examinations. We are snarling how unfair that a few feel they can ruin everything for so many.

  17. cecilia07 says:

Easy we agree with your peeps best to stay out of the way of drunk crazy crowds.
We had a lockdown at Crabtree Vally Mall on Saturday. A 911 call at 2:30 to the police said guns fired. It was a M E S S. Thankfully the peeps were home. Roads were shut down, mall evacuated and folks left standing outside in the horrid heat.
No bullet casings found no one injured it is now looking like it was a prank call. I sure do hope they find the idiots who did this. Mom will send you the link to the mess via email

MOL Looks like you had your own parade confetti.
    Hugs madi your bfff

  18. Kismet says:

Tell your Dad to fetch what he’s supposed to fetch or no treats for him.

  19. Piglove says:

That’s a cool parade down your street brother. Where were the anipals cause we know we secretly run the world? You should have been highlighted out there for sure. Now that would have been a parade and might have eliminated your gift to dad… snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon

  20. Oh yes, yard confetti is much nicer. Bwahaha. We LOVED the vintage looking cars.

  21. Lee says:

Easy why were you not out riding on one of the tractors? Lee learned how to drive at the age of six on a tractor. She drove the thing standing up. She was free labor while the men loaded hay bales on the wagon. The world is sad, we stay away from the big festivals now also.
    Thanks for being a friend
    Sweet William The Scot

  22. Brian says:

  25. Jan K says:

I agree with what some others suggested….maybe you could make your own mulch out of shredded plastic? Make Dad help you too….BOL.

  26. You are great at being destructive!

  27. The OP Pack says:

that was a lot of hard work. does that weed block paper really work. Seems like the weeds pop through no matter what the Momster tries:(

    Woos – Ciara and Lightning

  28. Well at least you were a good helper for your mom. We stay away from all those drunken things too
    hugs

  29. You are such an amazing helper my love. your gal Lee and BIL Phod

  30. Tearing dat bag up looks like so much fun!

  31. Cupcake says:

Confetti. Mulch. They’re not that different. Even if your dad didn’t do his job, you did yours. You are a very helpful and supportive doggie.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  35. You’re right, a yard with confettis is much prettier. We bet your pawrents liked it ! Purrs

  36. gentlestitches says:

What would they do without you prettying it all up? The parade had a car like BRUM who my son loved. We have the sh#t here too. We need a big dunny and a big flush.

  37. Le pauvre Papa! And such a shame that just the thought of terrorists can ruin such a longstanding tradition and fun event.I think you did a pawesome job in the backyard…so festive. And the thanks you got? Pfffft.

  38. How sad no horses and I don’t blame you staying away from crowds. I want you to be safe!

  39. It was nice to see the old tractors, but I did miss the horses. I just love this parade so thanks so much for sharing it with us. The world is such a different place now. I guess maybe it has changed forever.

  40. What a great parade. I like it. So dad disappeared for hours…sounds like a dad thing to do and then he probably forgot the mulch. Some dads are strange that way like ours.

    Shoko

  41. Dolly the Doxie says:

How heartbreaking to read that people don’t feel safe because of earlier tragedies. That means THEY are winning but I sympathize and would probably do the same. Love Dolly

  42. We would be avoiding crowds too. Dad best go get that bark mulch

  43. I’ve been awol off and on since hubby clobbered his shoulder and knee on the cement driveway, so I understand a weekend off. The world is a crazy place, what can I say. I avoid crowds as much as possible myself.
