it’s spring. YEP. Even in the backyard of the chick with 10 black thumbs aka the mama.

…the rhododendron came back this year,Β  he is a trooper… and not even the mama can pamper that guy to death. Because the climate here is pawfect for rhododendrons and they grow like weed…

… aaaah spring… nothing is better than to run over the fresh mowed lawn…

… and to jump around like a baked billy goat…

…and to look for critters under the pot of the guy named oh-leander…

… and to sniff around where I’m normally not allowed…

YES: Spring is BEAUTIFUL… so don’t furget to take the time to sniff on flowers…

…and to water them…

before they look like the GONERANIUMS the mama bought some weeks ago…

  3. Gosh Easy – things are SPRINGING up in your yard so I guess that means Spring has sprung? We are expecting a cold front Sunday – our highs will be in the 40s and there will be snow in the mountains. Spring? I think she got lost on her way here after all. Enjoy running around in your yard – you might find a surprise – like another blind worm!

    Love, Sammy

  23. Beautiful flowers! I love azaleas, but since they’re potentially hazardous to pups, we don’t have any in the back yard – just one on each side of the house. We also have rose bushes that the dog-daddy needs to trim back but has been very L A Z Y about.

  24. Kismet says:

Isn’t the plural of goneranium “gonerania”?

  25. Emmadog says:

Gardening is not easy, and your flowers are beautiful! I have luckily started fresh at our new house with beautiful gardens that someone else started. Check back with me to see how they’re doing next year.
The crew finally got their fenced in yard and they’ve been doing quite the job of running around watering the flowers!

  35. The OP Pack says:

You have some beautiful flowers there, Easy. We have lots of green grass to roll in too, but we have had so much rain that the mowers can’t keep up with it. So it is quite long now. Mom says it is hard for her to do poop patrol because to is hard to spot the poops in the tall grass. BOL.

  42. Your spring flowers are wonderful, Easy. Enjoy and don’t ‘water’ them too much. πŸ˜‰

  43. Midwestern Plant Girl says:

I love your rhodie! She will be covered with blooms very soon!
Your goneraniums may need less water. Annuals tend to bloom more when kept on the dry side. Here’s why; they only live one year and they know this. If everything is given to them, why use all their energy to bloom and make seeds? Everything is perfect, why waste the energy? However, if they aren’t sure when thier next drink of water will be, they tend to want to make seed (bloom first) in hopes the next generation can have an easier life. Keep Mama and her watering can far away! You keep your hose away also Easy!

  44. Such a beautiful yard, I would love to hang out there and look for critters and see the flowers.

  45. Spring is beautiful and it looks beautiful in your yard!
