Hell-o
we had a super stormy Easter Weekend… in the morning we were greeted by sun and till 10 am efurrything looked like a sunny sunday…
Butt then! Suddenly we heard two short butt B.I.G. bangs… and all professional tattletales worried neighbors came out and looked around… we currently are highly strung for loud noises and thought something happened… so some of us were even armed…
…and while all that newsmongers worried neighbors looked for the reason of that noise it became dark as in the a$$ of a salamander and a thunderstorm came down on my village… wit a lot of more of that BIG BANGS…
…furst rain , then hail… well, hail to the weatherguy who promised sun, huh?
The people on the street grinned sheepish and went back to their cribs….
…eggs-cept my smart mother, who walked around in the storm like that flying Robert of the Slovenly Peter book… sadly her umbrella was a cheap giveaway from a drugstore and it went in the bucket before my mother took off….
…fortunately 3sat was with us and brought Downton Abbey for 87 hours…
… and even locked inside of my crib we had a good time…
… fortunately we had enough snacks and food…
for a dark and stormy Easter Day… so even those who howled with pain about endless time in Downton Abbey enjoyed a lazy day too .
The storm became stronger at night and at 3 am I invited my staff for a noon patrol. And there in the moonlight my dad noticed that our backyard became endless too, because the fence was gone. And with wild flapping pj-pants he ran through the storm, grabbed me and brought me back to my crib before I noticed that open range….
… the morning after the storm my back looked like a nuclear test site… we got some firewood…
… something we can throw in the trashcan…
… as soon as someone will help it to stand up…
… and my daddy fixed the fence as good as he could, butt a lot is broken and we have to replace it…
… and while I looked around I saw two interesting things…
… the bad was, the pug king is deprived of its power and my backyard is a republic now…
…and the good was, the half of the hornets nest came down, while the leftovers still hang in my tree…
… burn baby burn… ha! At least one problem is solved!
HAVE A SUNNY TUESDAY ALL
Glad to see yous all safe over there Easy.
Who knew that Katie did haf such a bad temper! She did sum serious damages over here as well!
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
WOW! What a day you lived there Lovely Easy, But I am glad you are all fine. Do you know this morning I have sent to you a little surprise, how exciting for me, 🙂 I wonder your reaction and will you like them 🙂 Thank you, Have a nice day, Love, nia
Wow that is quiet the storm. At least it ridded you of half of the stinging problem. We to have had stormy weather, but my fence remains intact. Stay safe and dry my brother.
Blessings,
Buddy
YIKES……sounds like quite an Easter Storm you had Easy! No wonder you all were a bit un-EASY with the loud sounds but I guess thunder can make your hair stand on end when it’s THAT loud! Sorry about your fence but good thing you Dad saw that before you ran loose as a goose all over your kraal! 87 hours of Downton Abbey had to be just a bit tough but as long as you and your Dad didn’t run out of ice cream all is well!
Hugs, Sammy
Glad all of you survived. I can imagine loud noises are a bit awkward right now! Thankfully you had enough food and entertainment and hopefully all will be repaired soon. 🙂
janet
What a storm! I’m glad nobody was hurt and that you didn’t see a way of escape!
glad you survived!!!
I am amazed it didn’t take three days for the sun to rise again. 🙂
Oh noes, not the best of Easter presents 😦 At least the hornets nest is gone 😀
Wow, that was some storm!! Glad you are all safe!!
You really had to have an Adventure-Holiday, hadn’t you Easy?
Wowsers, Easy! That was some Sunday storm…I cannot believe it destroyed so much of your backyard. I am glad it did rid you of the nasty hornets though. Those buggers are mean!
Oz
you have so much more green then we have. Bye Bye hornets nest.. Poor pug face oh well.
Morning Handsome!
OMCs that was a horrible storm. Mom and I are kinda fearful of tstorms. Well mom is and I thinks she made me fearful. When they are really bad she shoves me in my PTU, sits on the floor with me bedside her. She tells me whatever happens we’ll be together.
My peeps are sad Downton Abbey is over..but they sure did wrap things up nicely.
They are watching Mr. Selfridge’s last season now.
WooHoo you are rid of 1/2 of the stinger’s nest
Hugs madi your bfff
Nasty weather. Too bad it didn’t blow Easter eggs into your fenceless yard!
OMC what an awful storm you had. We’re really glad you didn’t spot that fence. Our woofies Cubby and Clifford got out of our fence once and it was really scary.
The Florida Furkids
WOW Brother it does sound like you had an awakening on Easter. What a storm that was. We had hard rains and noise too but nothing like yours. Please be safe and keep your staff safe okay. Loves XOXO – Bacon
Easy, you wouldn’t bolt and run away. You’d really miss the comedy show.
Hopefully those hornets in the other half don’t come looking for the rest of their place!
Very good about half of the hornet’s nest… the weather not so good. But it sounds like you had a nice indoor Easter. Easter was showers and Pooh like blustery winds for MissouREE!
That sounds pretty scary, but glad you got through it OK (doesn’t your Mom know it’s dangerous to go out in storms!!??), though not completely unscathed. At least there was that one good thing with the hornets nest coming down! Hope it doesn’t take all of that to get the other half down though.
My goodness Easy, I would still be under the bed with all that noise!
Holy Cwap!! What a mess. I like the fence, Easy. You can peek through the slats now. MOL One thing fur sure….you have lovely green grass. Our grass is still brown.
Bet the racket scared the cwap outta you Easy. I would’ve been under the bed.
Shoko
[…] It’s all the way from France. Sure enough the package was from Easy and his staff from Easy Blog. Oh, there are candy coated chocolate eggs for mom and dad….they’ll go wild for […]
Oh boy you could have made a great escape!
What an Easter mess, E. It’s lucky your dad was a quick thinker so you didn’t escape from the broken fence. You might’ve gotten lost or dognapped! Stay safe, buddy.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Oh we are so sad about your pug statue, but in truth if it was a statue of a black cat it may have still been standing…hehehehe (wienie)
What a day ! Your staff is going to have some work to do ! Purrs
That was a HUGE storm. Usually, we don’t mind them….except for the wind. Glad you could ride it out in the comfort of your crib. Sounds like you had electricity all the time, as well.
Oh no – NOT the Pug King!! Wow! That was one heck of a storm! We are glad you weren’t sucked through the damaged fence and into the wild world where a young innocent fella like you could have been taken advantage of by unscrupulous hoodlums!
Keep Calm & Build Fences,
Murphy & Stanley
Hari om
Taking the good with the bad, that is the way to go Easy!!! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
Oh poor Pug King! I do love a good storm just not the havoc that sometimes comes with it.
Oh my, your Easter was a bit too eggs-iting!!!
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Quite an eventful holiday at your crib then.
PS Congrats on the Mayor Pro Tem thing. Can’t wait…..
Wow what a crazy and eggciting day you had!!
Ziggy Out!!
Dark as a salamander’s butt BOL! ROFL! Oh, Easy…you have a way with words! Glad everyone is okay *ear licks*
We are sad you got such a nasty storm and damage, but glad that the hornets nest came down to burn, but sad that the pug king has lost his crown, but happy that you are all OK
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
OMD the Rein of King PUGLY… was OVERTHROWN? And your FENCE was.. DeFENCELESS against that Storm that turned everythingy Dark as a Salamander’s Ass…
WOW BUDDY… it is a Miracle that your mom wasn’t Swept Up in such a storm… Like DOROTHY… … Wonder if she would have seen OUR OZ???
GLAD you and your peeps are SAFE… and Sorry about the King and Fence.
Whoa…that WAS quite the storm. We hear that wasps don’t like to share their cramped condo with others-so hopefully they are all gone in search of a new crib.
Yowza, what a storm! Glad you and your crib survived relatively intact. Sad for the pug king, though.
sounds like a good reason to stay home and safe (relatively) in your home 🙂
Oh dear, that was a bad storm, Easy. Sorry about all that damage. We have the threat of severe weather here for tomorrow so we all know what that means – another seizure-watch for poor Ciara. She is already acting weird so we think she has picked up on the pressure changes.
Good that you had good TV and tasty treats to keep you in good spirits during the stormy weather.
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Easy your Mom can tell a Shady Hollow Stormy Story. Thank you for staring in her prolific screenwriting events.
Easy there is always SOME good in a little bad! YAY about burning that hornet’s nest!! I laughed my ass of at this: “sadly her umbrella was a cheap giveaway from a drugstore and it went in the bucket before my mother took off….” GOD YOU KILL ME! xoxox DakotasDen
We’re glad the noise was only a thunderstorm but are sorry to hear about your fence and the pug prince.
Millie & Walter
We know all bout dat hail – and we might get more tomorrow too. 😦
It is a weird day when we are relieved that big bangs herald a huge storm rather than something worse. I think you had the most exciting Easter of anyone! Sorry about the fence… and I hope you can get it fixed. I hear that Easy will be the temp Mayor, and a Mayor needs a good fence (at least that’s what the yellow-haired candidate tells us).
A big noise like that and Mom would have had out Mr. Sig Sauer. I’m glad it wasn’t anything too damaging.
Abby Lab
A happy ending but I agree those unusual bangs make everyone a bit on edge. Lucky Dad can repair things but perhaps King Pug is not repairable.
TV and snacks with loved ones is the best way to spend a holiday and if storming, even more so. XXX
OMD, there is never a dull moment at your crib!!! Holy King Pug! What happened?! Wells, you could glue him back togethers, and hopes it holds better than Humpty Dumpty! Glads everything is okays, and you got lots of snacks and teevees to watch!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
What a good storm! And seeing that yous guys does what wes does is pretty cool! And too bad about the king pug and excellent about the hornets nest!
Good thing mes was not there, mes would has looked like a drowned rat!
Kisses
Nellie
Oh Easy, what a dramatic Easter! We had a crazy weather day like that today! Hail and everything! Very cold! But our fences are fine. You listen to the pawrents and don’t take off!
That must have been very scary! We are expecting storms tomorrow and we are already not liking them. I hope the rest of your hornets move along or burn. LOL!
Goodness thank heavens that you had Downton Abbey to get you through all of that! Love Dolly
Oh me cats Easy, what an Easter you all had. We’s glad to see dat at least some of da hornets nest came down. Maybe da next storm will bring it all down. And me’s so glad ya’ll were safe and dry inside.
Luv ya’
Dezi

ACK!!!!! Not the fence!!!!
Those storms are awfull, Easy. Thank Cat you are all safe! This reminds us when we were living in our old house, our fence Always broke into pieces with the storms. It was scary… Sunny Pawkisses are on the way 🙂 ❤
I love exciting spring weather, except when it causes damage. Sorry to hear about the pug king, but at least the hornet nest came down.
