Hell-o,

we had a pawrade this weekend , because it’s fête du battage.

I patiently waited on my window to bark at them and to rip them to pieces to wave at them and to enjoy all that ole rides…

My momma made a video and my dad was armed with the cam to take photos….

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

…we will draw on that event till next year because my momma furgotts to close the window in my bedroom… so the smell will stay there for the next 365 days… dog knows what kind of weird stuff they put in their tanks…probably they burn ole undies there…

Wow! Just one tractor on the road can cause real congestion, goodness knows what tailbacks all those caused?! Hope the smell dissipates soon ;-/

  2. earllover says:

All those people in one huge trailer… Ethel would have gone crazy with happiness!!! She loves fuss!!!

  3. Cupcake says:

What a sweet parade. Around here, all parades have tubas, drums, sirens, trumpets, firecrackers, motorcycles, drums, and did I say DRUMS. They’re terrifying!!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  4. Oh Easy I can remember this parade from last year or maybe year before? I love seeing all the old farm machinery and my Dad watched with me because he does too…..they have shows out in the country here with all the old steam tractors, etc. and Dad likes OLD stuff (like my Mom….hee hee). Anyway, thanks for sharing the movie/pix with us – I’m glad you cheered them on from time to time to let them know you were watching. Hope the smell of burning undies goes away soon……that just can’t be very pleasant inside your crib!

    Hugs, Sammy

    • it’s the same thing efurry year… and we had a sleepless night with all that drunken tractor-sailors around us …one of them puked in the geranias of our neighbor…urrrks :o(

  5. Bichonpawz says:

Very cool parade!!! I remember I took Chloe to a parade when she was just a tiny puppy and she pooped right in the middle of the sidewalk where all the people were walking! I was mortified!

  6. DailyMusings says:

I love a pawrade Easy! The old machinery is fun to look at, but I am sorry it stunk up the house. I awoke to the smell of a skunk this morning- so I feel your pain!

  7. grannyK says:

Burning old undies! How funny!! I do love looking at the old machinery, but yeah, they can cause an odor!

  8. fredrieka says:

that engine smells cough cough yucky but I bet you enjoyed saying hello

  9. What an interesting parade. We loved seeing you watch it and listening to your barking. Ewwwww about the old undies though.

    The Florida Furkids

  10. Midwestern Plant Girl says:

Was the parade to celebrate tractors? Heehee! Why weren’t you in the parade Easy?
I really love the garden across the street. The hydrangea is so large and had so many blooms on it.

  11. kolytyi says:

Awwww, Easy, your mom should have been the special guest star of this event!!! Although it is better that you kept her on a short leash.
It was a really amazing procession. I especially loved the old lady with the three huge scoops of vanilla ice cream on her cart, as well as the tractors which deflected the exhaust fumes directly to the face of the driver.

    • bawhahahaha that was sheeps wool, but maybe that’s tasty too… I eat nearly all things. I felt a little sorry for this guy, after the pawrde I bet he has a black head :o)

  12. cecilia07 says:

Easy what wonderful post! We will have to view the parade from our desk top. Yes POTP to the brave first responders during these wildfires! Hugs Madi your bffff

  13. Trying very hard NOT to imagine the smell of burning undies! 🙂

  15. Dolly the Doxie says:

  16. Jan K says:

Luke agrees those things should be barked at, Easy. In fact, he’s barking along with you right now!

  17. Kismet says:

You tried to warn them away. What right do they have to spread that foul exhaust all over YOUR neighborhood? Then, one sign said that it was NEXT Sunday, not today.

    • they have the same boring event next week in a village next to me, the peeps aren’t our farmers, they only own an old tractor -steamboat what they use to make some bucks in summer …. seems nearly efurrything of that world is just a rip off…sigh…

  18. That is a lovely parade. too bad about the smell!

  19. Murphy & Stanley says:

How cool! We would have enjoyed sound on the video (unless it was all barking BOL)! Why was it stinky?

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

    • their exhausts sent the blackes stinky clouds to my bedroom… it was awful, even the bedding had a weird smell (but that was probably because of my dirty furs hehehe) :o)

  20. Hari OM
Oh i really enjoyed watching those tractors and equipments and such with you Easy… I was down on the farm myself today and saw some old tractors – but they are no longer working… thank you for letting us see them! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  21. What a fabulous parade, thank you for sharing it with us, it was nice you could watch from your window, you looked like you were really getting into it just like that chick really digging in her butt as she was walking along. Bet she left a stinkie for you.

  22. Uh oh Easy!! Guess what happened!!! I heard you bark and I ran to the window to see where you were! I thought you were here!! BOL! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

  23. harrispen says:

How fun that you have a parade right in front of your house. You have a great view of all the action.

    Millie & Walter

  24. Emmadog says:

Such a cute little tractor parade! You know that smelly stuff they have in the tanks? Well when Katie was 6 mo old and got spayed she had to be quiet and on leash for 2 weeks. I was living hell for Mom. They lived deep in the Allgaeu in Germany at the time. The day Katie could run again, Mom let her off leash and wouldn’t you know she slipped and fell in a huge puddle of that brown poopy stuff along side a field. The normally white dog was brown and disgusting. It was not pretty from what they tell me. I avoid that stuff at any cost!

  25. Deziz World says:

We think we would bark at all those peeps going by too – look at all those tractors and farm equipment. Such a fun parade.

We too are thankful for the brave firefighters trying to save so many from the devastation of the fires. All paws crossed here for them and prayers from our Mom.

    Woos – Ciara and Lightning

  29. Bella, Roxy & Macdui says:

Bwahaahaa! You made us bark and we made HER open the door so we could go out!

  30. Woooo, we found that parade weirdly fascinating. Old tractors are beautiful but that poor woman pulling the cart was like a ricksha driver!

  33. BOL, I woulda luved to bark dat pawrade!

  34. A parade of farm implements…how exciting! I’d hate to be caught underneath some of these gadgets. Easy, your translation of the parade was great. The Threshing Festival…wonder what kind of drinks they give out?
Also POTP to all firefighters of the wildfires and peeps and anipals effected.

    (((Shoko)))

  35. OMD! A parade right outside your window! We would have barked ourselves hoarse barking at the horses! They should have let you ride on a tractor. You have a lovely flower garden to look at out your window too. Fun day!

  36. Have to love a parade with tractors in it but the stink, yep no fun! Old undies… LOL!

  37. That was a cool parade, although it seemed like there was almost a tractor smash up at one point on the video…lol. Some really cool old farm equipment though.

  38. Easy, we liked how you barked providing excellent commentary for the parade video! Even at the end of the video, you barked saying it was all done! Pawsome job!

  39. tylersat99 says:

That looked like a neat parade Easy, but very smelly. we have never seen a lot of those big machines, but feel sorry for the poor lady who has to pull her own cart. I hope you can get all those awful smells out of your crib.
