Hell-o,

we were hiking on sunday. Yep, that was the reason that we had that lazy sunday later :o)

IMG_0673

I’ve read at Goose’s blog, that he and his mom went hiking every year that time… and this year it was the first time that his mom had to hike without Goose… so I thought I will hike with Michelle, so she has a silvermistygrey hiking buddy… if only figurative…

IMG_0688

I’ve grabbed Renè Lacoste, the croco, I’ve got from Goose and then we  jumped in the Elephant Skater to drive to Coëtlogon.  There we would visit the castle… butt my dad couldn’t find it… well castles are known for being as small as a pinhead, right? So we cruised through that giant city with 238 noses, till we landed on a strange place…

IMG_0682

While riding in the Elephant Skater Renè entered my mommas lap…

IMG_0690

Hey that’s MY place, I’m her lapdog! And therefore I smashed him with my butt first …

IMG_0689

…and later I pitchforked that stinker in the stinging nettles… Ha!
IMG_0670

I also invited Greta, the guardian pug of the Elephant Skater to my trip.

IMG_0665

IMG_0674

Greta has short legs and couldn’t walk so far and so she  first traveled on Rene’s back and later in my mommas pocket, because Renè is spiky and poked holes in her butt…

IMG_0666

We walked 87 miles or more…

IMG_0668

through a dark forest…

IMG_0677

….along other woods..

IMG_0671

… and meadows… with photo bombers…

IMG_0675

…till we saw a magic tunnel…

IMG_0667

It was as dark as in the ass of a salamander in that tunnel …

IMG_0672

…and there even was a  8 inch long blindworm ginormous  snake and that was THE sign for my momma to scream like a Banshee that all  the berds fell  from the trees to stay away from that tunnel.

IMG_0669

I wrote a sorry letter  for the families of the berds…

IMG_0663

…and even Renè wrote a small note, because you have to mind your Pee’s & Q’s in the open country, right?

IMG_0680

IMG_0681

IMG_0678

We visited a roadside cavalry where we had a short rest

IMG_0679

…and where my dad grabbed the chance by head&butt to smoke a stinky cigarillo what’s normally not allowed in presence of my momma, because she can’t stand that smell..

IMG_0683

I’ve checked the grain on the field…

IMG_0662

… and while I wrote another pee-mail..

IMG_0684

… Greta and Renè had some water…

IMG_0685

…and then I refilled my yellow ink-tank…

IMG_0687

… hey… don’t be greedy Renè or you get a free flight!

IMG_0686

well…that’s what  I’ve told ya…

IMG_0691

Then we drove home, where we relaxed a little …

IMG_0664

…while Renè needed a cold bath and some itching-treatment, because of that “accident” with the stinging nettles…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE

IMG_0596

I’ve tagged “Geocaching” in this post, because actually we planned to search for GC39MKD. It says it’s a micro cache…. Butt  how shall we find a micro cache when we are not even able to find a whole castle?

  4. Easy that was a very nice way to spend a day remembering your friend Goose. Too bad you never found the castle…are you sure it wasn’t a MICRO-castle instead of a MICRO-geocache????? Anyway, looks like you had quite an adventure – that tunnel was a little scary indeed……..good thing you didn’t fall in.

    Hugs, Sammy

  5. Cupcake says:

Looks like a wonderful hike, E. Geocaching is tough when your humans have NO sense of direction. I feel even the GPS lady in Mom’s car shaking her head in frustration. Maybe next time.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  6. Midwestern Plant Girl says:

Looks like a fun hike and you got all of your correspondence chores done also! I would have been through that tunnel before you guys had time to freak out. I love ‘tree tunnels’!

  7. What a fun adventure and it seems it didn’t end in disaster! Well done and what a lovely way to remember Goose.

  8. Madi and Mom says:

Easy I’m purrty sure Goose was with you on that hike…telling you just where to leave pee mail and protecting you and Rene from all stingy things. What a fun hike!!
I know Michelle enjoyed that great hike. Happy Birthday to Michelle
    Hugs Madi your bfff

  9. fredrieka says:

you are so sweet Easy glad you went hiking, I love hiking, especially if I can run also

  10. Goose says:

Easy Easy what a great hike you had. And so did I. I thought about Goose a lot and I had thoughts of you too. So I know you where there with me as was Goose. It was a beautiful trip. And you know I have heard that trying to find a castle can be very hard. Not only are they so so small but they are camouflaged so very well.
    Blessings,
    Michelle

  11. PigLove says:

Oh brother – what an awesome tribute. I love it – I absolutely love the thoughtfulness… and the pitching of Renè Lacoste into the stinging nettles. That was hilarious indeed! stinging nettles

  12. Mental Mama says:

Looks like a very fun trip!

  13. Emmadog says:

That second photo was the best! Love your little friend!

  14. The OP Pack says:

Easy, you are so sweet to take that hike for Goose and his Mom. We are sure she was happy to have a virtual companion. You even found a tunnel for her – looks scary to us. We don’t think we could get our Mom to go in there either.

We hope Rene has recovered well from that prickly incident:)

  15. Brian says:

That really was a fun out n’ about and we know Goose was smiling!

  16. Jan K says:

Yes, we can see why the geocache might be impossible if you can’t even find a whole castle! What a fun outing, and such a special thing to do in honor of Goose. And such a great idea to bring along those friends too…they seemed to have had a very good time as well!

  17. we are sure Michelle and Goose were there in spirit just as you were too. Hey we didn’t know you did geocaching – us too but we have trouble finding them – but that is half the fun. We love that photo of the tunnel of trees – so cool

  18. Will and Eko says:

Scary forest, good thing you had a dragon to protect you.

  19. What a wonderful hike for Michelle & Goose. We know Michelle felt you hiking right along with her. And to invite Greta along too, brought a tear to our momma’s eyes along with a big smile too.
    love & hugs

OMD EASY this was GRAND and GLORIOUS…. YOU and Rene and Greta helped our beloved Miss Michelle to celebrate by joining here on a HIKE…
OMD that Dark as a Salamander’s A$$ Tunnel Scared us to DEATH…. we would NOT have wanted to go in there… It is a good thingy that you wrote the letter to the Berds…Re: the Wild Screams of the mom. And that you got to REFILL your YELLOW INK Well…. so you could leave PLENTY of additional PeeMails along your LOVELY HIKE.

  22. Easy you have a way of finding adventure WHEREVER you go! I love it! My Mom would have screamed at that snake too! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

  23. We loved the tunnel on your walk. It looks like you had a great time.

  24. A fabulous trek indeed, Easy-no wonder you guys were all tuckered out. That tunnel was scary AND exciting. I think you handled it all well, ok except for the stinging nettles part. 😉

  25. Kismet says:

I’m sure you felt the spirit of Goose hiking with you.

  26. You are a beautiful guy Easy, with such a good heart. I think that was a really special way to honour your friend Goose. I hope that you have better luck finding the castle next time, I wonder what sort of geocache would be hidden in a castle? Gold and rubies most likely.

  27. That was quite an outing Easy. Hope Rene is no longer itching. (I bet she’s no longer itching to go out for walkies with you again any time soon, for sure).
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.

  28. stella rose says:

Oh Easy what a grand thing you did for Michelle, I am sure she felt your presence and your sneaky snake all along her trek into the desert. I loved the pictures and my mom laughed at several…humans have such a different way of looking at things then we do ………..hugs to you….stella rose
p.s. we have nettles here also, our mom actually grew them in her flower garden cos she thought the flowers were pretty then she realized what she had done, by that time they had grown from one to a 1,0000….what a mess she had.

OMD OMD OMD – you completely lost a castle??? Oh I knows about geocaches… the family is hot into that and a pal in the Down and Under also took me along on a couple of those hunts to nothingness…….. sigh……. well done for writing apologies. Did you help with the healing of Rene after too? Clearly he’s devoted to you! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  32. DezizWorld says:

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Lexi

  33. What a pawsome walk you had. Too bad about the castle but we’re sure it was a mini micro one. We think our Mom would be screaming like a banshee over the snake too.

    The Florida Furkids

  34. Two French Bulldogs says:

We are so jealous of that adventure even stuffies got to go
    Lily & Edward

  35. That sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate and honor Goose. WTD? A snake was claiming ownership of that cool tunnel. We do not like snakes even a little bit so my mom would have screamed too. She also screams about frogs and lizards. It gets embarassing!

  36. There would be no way mommy would enter that tunnel! Probably ninja squirells would fly at u in the tunnel of darkness and mommy might leave a pee trail so her rescuers would find her hiding spot from escaping the tunnel.

  37. Looks like one fun hike!

  38. Oh Easy, that was a pawsome hike!!!! What a FABulous idea to dedicate your adventure to Michelle and Goose! I bets Goose was right there beside you leavin’ his own kind of peemail!!! And, I bets he was stickin’ his head out the window and lettin’ his ears flap in the winds too! BOL
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  39. The magic tunnel looks fascinating! And some stuffies got to go on an outing! It looks like a great walk, Easy!

  40. Fantastic walk, Easy. You wrote a few real good letters too. Guess you were some tired my friend.

  41. KB says:

What a wonderful idea to do that on Michelle’s birthday. You made me laugh with your last line about the geocache 🙂 I can see why you slept later in the day!

  42. DailyMusings says:

I love these photos- what a beautiful place with beautiful views. Easy looks like he had a great time too 🙂

  43. catfromhell says:

What a great way to celebrate Michelle’s Birthday! Mes only singed her a song, but geohunting and traipsing through the wilds of France is the bestest!
    Kisses
    Nellie

  44. oh dear Easy, you really need to warn me in the beginning of the post if I need to put my depends on, i pee’d my pants all the way through this post, I bet it made goose’s mom smile, what a great tribute you did for him. I loved the photo bomber and of course the ass of a salamander! you guys rock, thanks for making me smile.

  45. gentlestitches says:

What a fun outing and I think Goose’s Mom will feel a teeny bit better. XX

  46. What a pawsome outing. I’d keep a VERY close eye on that Rene if I were you Easy.
    Wally & Sammy

  47. Love how you leave your mark LOL :-). Also you still have a toy in one piece??????

  48. Clowie says:

Are you sure there was really a castle there, Easy? They’re usually easy to see. Maybe it’s a magic castle and is invisible.

  49. Dolly the Doxie says:

What a beautiful hike Easy! I’m sure if you did that more often you wouldn’t be uhmm so destructive. Love Dolly

  50. What a grreat thing to do! I bet Michelle could feel your presence during her hike.

  51. Maybe someone took the castle…hahahaha. Nettles are nasty! Another reason not to hike!

  52. kolytyi says:

I’m afraid your dad thinks that castles are made of sand. This might be the side effect of the ends of the cucumbers in your salad which were not only bitter but seem to be harmful for hoomans (by definition pitiful) cognitive capabilities. Or was it the cigarillo, because it made the fog in his brainbox even more dense?

  53. Nylabluesmum says:

Yur so sweet an good to hike inn Goose’ss memory….lady Michelle must bee berry touched bye yur gesture!!
An wee totallee luvved thee pee mail fotoss’…you can ackshully see you ritin them, mew mew mew….
