You are so brave. I’m terrified of turtles. If I see one, I jump back and just howl non stop until Mom hauls me away.
Hell-mut is as small as a guinea pig… and totally harmless… :o) and he is a vegetarian :o)
That is a nice little salad for lunch! Someone just brought us a gigantic tortoise to the shelter and I am feeling a little (really/incredibly) overwhelmed… I may have to ask some advice from you on what to feed these lovely creatures 🙂
I’m honest, I’m a tortoise greenhorn too, we feed him some fruits and all green things from our meadow :o)

they love it to be outside, maybe you can buy him a small residence with a fence… they can run like the wind, you have to be quick to get them back :o)
Well we are on day three with the turtle… he seems a little out of sorts and is mostly staying in his turtle house, except for meal times which he seems to love! We’ve got him all set up in a nice fenced (dog free!) area outside, and you are right, he is fast!!! Who knew?

Hi, Hell-mouth, nice to see you! Did you know that once I travelled in such a bus? When I was a child, the staff of my mom’s school and their families (she was a teacher) visited a small village for 4-5 day every spring. We usually went by car, but in a year, we got a bus from an institution – yes, from a prison. There were metal bars on the windows and between the driver and the passanger area. And so we went through Budapest. At a crossroads, the traffic lights were broken down and a policeman ruled the traffic – till the moment he realised us. He petrified with bewilderment and forgot to change the position of his arms for a while, because he saw a Black Maria, filled with prisoners from the age of 3 to 83, eating, smiling and waving.
hahahaha that’s a fabulous memory! Imagine you had a cam that time to take a photo of that police guy… I would like to hear what he told his wife when he came home that night… I saw a bus full with junior-criminals today …
