Hell-o,
guess what?
There are birds (for Mollie: BERDZ) in my hedge…

… and I’m a hunting breed…

…and so I sounded the death-haloo and declared the great berdz-hunt for open…

.. sadly that berdz were cheaters and instead to fly in my mouth like all selfrespecting berdz would do…

… they RAN away inside of the hedge…probably running berdz like Bonsai-Ostrichs……or Bonsai Emus

… butt hey, I’m a smart guy and I tried to deleave that hedge with ripping off one leaf after another…

… till I saw…

…. oh da sh*t!…. that takes 87 years or longer… and then the berdz are rubbery like my mommas Suzy Quattro Memorial Pants…

Stuff that berdz! The hunting season is closed and the hunter goes home… and he flips that berdz the bird… I mean… the tail…

GIMME A TREAT!

May the goddess of hunting be with ya all… HAVE A GOOD MO(A)NDAY…

Lovely funny one 🙂 Sometimes it could be a hard hunting day… But I am sure your treat was great and delicious! Thank you, love, nia
Lovely expressions caught by the camera and accompanied by great text.
Thanks
Shakti
AWESOME photos!! We just love it when you go hunting!! Happy Monday to you!! xo Chloe and LadyBug
Looking particularly silver misty grey and gorgeous today Easy!
That hedge would have required AT LEAST 87 years to “de-leaf”…….I think you were wise to do just a light trimming in search of berdz and when you realized what a HUGE project it might be, to head back inside and get a treat instead!!!!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
I’m afraid I’m like my dad… he started to trim that hedge last fall … till he saw it needs more than 10 minutes…. then he walked back to his bed… with showing the hedge his finger, he hasn’t a tail :o)
Your Dad is a very wise guy…..that hedge is POWERFUL looking……..it makes me wanna take a nap just looking at it!
I think you made a good choice, E. Stripping that hedge would have taken all day and all night. By then the bird would’ve flown the coop. At least you got a chance to yell at him. Don’t ya wish you could fly sometimes…?
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Oh I wish I could fly…. imagine we could do our business while flying around… that humans would be busy for hours to get our recycled food into that poop bag :o)
Well how un neighbourly of the birds….i hope when you sounded retreat they all knew they escaped the clutches of the silvermistygreyhuntmeraner by sheer graciousness on your part 😉 loves Fozziemum xxx
Cruel cruel world…runner birdz!
Rubber…rubber! Cruel auto correct!
Woooofffffffffff giving the birdz the tail HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I try to go one better & eat all the bread Mrs P put out for the said birdz, she says I’m naughty I say they should be quicker 😀
Ohhh, would you like a job Easy?
I could have you out prunning shrubs tomorrow. I’m sure you’ll see birdies 😉
are that birds tasty? then count me in :o)
Drat! That hedge really got in your way. Removing all those leaves would have been exhausting. You definitely made the right choice.
MOL MOL MOL EASY IF YOU SUCCEED IN GETTING A BERD TO FLY IN YOUR MOUTH I WANT IT POSTED ON YOU TUBE SO I CAN LEARN HOW TO DO THAT…AFTER I LEARN HOW TO COAX INTO MY HOUSE. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES OF PHOTOS AND THE LAST ONE!!
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
I did not know that the silvermistygreyweim hunted berdz!
We have lots of bushes here to trim… 🙂
NoBODY wants to do them!
Same here… my dad avoids that hedge-trimmer like the devil the howly water :o(
Stupid Berdz…..They probably weren’t worth catching anyway. Nice try though.
Better luck next time, Easy – those birds are pretty crafty AND fast. Too bad your ears don’t let you fly as high as they can:)
Woos – Ciara and Lightning
Hunting for TREATS is so much better than birds anyway.
Try flapping your tail harder next time and maybe you’ll fly.
Hunting is pretty easy Easy, but catching is much harder!
Love the photos- that is quite a beautiful hedge, those birds would be impossible to find! better to go home for a treat
I love that you flipped ’em off with your tail!
Our dad feeds the birds, they hang out in little feeders all around Alcatraz, you could just come visit us, and have on big feast…we like your pretty collar.
stella rose
I’m with you Easy, I prefer to hunt my meat down in the grocery store. My sister was the hunter. Once she caught a bird while on a 6 foot leash. She had the skills!
Wyatt
Hunting – WOW – you are so talented brother. I must learn from you. Sometimes those two piece snacks sing outside the front door of the Hotel Thompson. I can see them through the glass pane. They are quick. XOXO – Bacon
Hey it was a good try! I love to chase the birds too by they get away too fast so I understand. Love Dolly
We could send you one of our thunderstorms – the wind keeps whipping the leaves of our tree!
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
Bonsai Ostriches and Emus?! Holy cripes. Those sound scary. Maybe not for a big dog like you but I’m kinda small-ish and I don’t want to take on one of those things. Better luck next time, Easy!
Easy! Mes could comes to hunt the berdz! Mes could runs through the top of the hedge and catches them and throws them down with yous! But not the Emus and Ostrich…And my cod-the hedge is long!!!!
Kisses
Nellie
PS – Mes gotted a wonderful giggle thinking of my extra fluffy Mommy in Suzy Quattro pants!
oh please come to get that berdz… we can make a bbq :o) I#ve got a giggle too as I remembered hot that pants bursted on my mommas butt and she showed the world the full moon at noon :o)
You leave my family alone! Unless that’s the dumb side of the family.
it is the dumb side… of course, of course :o)
Dude – you gotta go with the sneak attack – full on attacks just give them birds the head start to flyer higher and away. This is the time to use your mighty stealth techniques – you know the ones you use when you see some unguarded goodies on a plate 🙂
Hunting can be frustrating but so fun 🐶
Did they taste like chicken
Lily & Edward
That’s exactly what Earl and Ethel do when birds nest in our yard’s hedge. They won’t leave the hedge alone – birds might come out any time!! They say, you stick by that hedge, Easy. Don’t let your guard down.

OMDness – did they have invisibility feathers??? Hugs and wgs, YAM-aunty xxx
EASY EASY EASY…… Take it Easy… Easy…. You said you are a MIGHTY HUNTER… and you DID hunter those Burds… You NEVER EVER said you were a CATCHER… so this is all FINE…. You gave the Burds the Burd and that is good.
I think you deserve some duck or chicken treats and many of them for that. Darn birds anyhow!
Personally I think this flying business is totally cheating.
Those birds sure are sneaky, good try though
We don’t care about birds, but it is so maddening when critters jump in and hide in bushes too!
Really Easy….catching berdz is not my strong suit. They just look at me and laugh…its very upsetting. I don’t mind being friends with certain berdz but not when they laugh at me. I’m afraid I can’t help you Easy. I must take lessons from Dale Carnegie after being around berdz” They sure can be mean.
Hugs,
(((Shoko)))
We know better than trying to catch any birdies in our yard. They always seem to fly off way before we can get to them.
Millie & Walter
Well you did give it a good effort and no one can argue with that!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
You’ll get that bird next time.
We are sure you will get it next time!
That was as one would say “A Hedge to Far”
The Mad Scots
Next time Easy . . .
Pierre continually tried to catch birds and the big chickens fly away! That hedge hiding was a dirty deal!
That was a good try, better luck next time.
I hope you got treats.
Loveys Sasha
Birds (Berdz for Mollie) are SUCH a fickle bunch! They’re all “oh look at me! let’s play catch” and then when you just start getting into the game they fly off. *PFFFT*
Wally & Sammy
I hope you had a nice treat! ❤
Hullo!
As long as you no finds snakies, all good. We has depurrted all of them to Pole up North.
XXXX Your elected Purrime Ministerettes of Planet Purrth
Easy oh Easy I had the Goddess of Hunting on my side yes I did ~ I deaded a big fat old mole and I am going to show it to you next Monday. Why I had worked so hard planting one of our flower beds and that mole was popping up my flowers so I popped him up. Yes I did. Birds they are all feathers and bones now moles they got meat on them.
YUK
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Hahaha Easy!
You are a most impressive hunter in our book Easy! Always best to way your options… reminds me of the sign I saw on Facebook today: We were great hunters once..then we discovered you have sofas!
OMD!! EASY! That was most impressive huntin’ expedition!! I made notes, and will take them with me on my walkie tomorrows and see if I can catch these burdies that keep taunting me in this one bush! I thinks Maybe I will try and strip it bare, and see if I can gets them that way! Thanks for the tip!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
They’d only maon at you if you caught something, Easy!
Or moan, is what I mean!
MOL Dat’s okay Easy gettin’ mommy to cook, plate and serve ya’ a bird is much better than havin’ to hunt, kill and defedder it anyways. MOL
Luv ya’
Dezi and Lexi
Oh well, you tried, Easy. That was certainly one daunting task. It’s easier to get a treat than to go hunting!
Easy, the super sportsdog! Molly applauds your deleafing strategy which she employs herself. Lovely outdoor adventure
Sam is/supposed to be a hunter too but he’d have no idea what to do with anything he caught unless it was an expensive leather item (damn dog!). You tell those dumb berdz to go elsewhere, Easy! Have a super weekend. 🙂
Oh man! Those pesky birds. Heather and Mr. K like chasing after them, too! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
hello easy its dennis the vizsla dog hay it is a loozing game trying to ketch those birds they ar way krafteeer then they luk!!! plus they can fly!!! if only we cud grow sum wings we mite hav a shot!!! ok bye
