Hello,
today 6 candles are on my table. They are the symbol for the 6 million jewish people who perished in the Holocaust and for the jewish resistance during that period.
It’s YOM HA SHOA DAY – HOLOCAUST AND HEROISM REMEMBRANCE DAY
I lit the 6 candles on my table to remember this time and the people and to show that no one is forgotten…
… and today we will remember together with the jewish people of the world …
El male rachamim, version for the Remembrance of Victims of the Holocaust
God, full of mercy, who dwells in the heights, provide a sure rest upon the Divine Presence’s wings, within the range of the holy and the pure, whose shining resemble the sky’s, all the souls of the six million Jews, victims of the European Holocaust, who were murdered, slaughtered, burnt and exterminated for the Sanctification of the Name, by the German Nazi assassins and their helpers from the rest of the peoples. Therefore, the Master of Mercy will protect them forever, from behind the hiding of his wings, and will tie their souls with the rope of life. The Everlasting is their heritage, the Garden of Eden shall be their resting room, and they shall rest peacefully upon their lying place, they will stand for their fate in the end of days, and let us say: Amen

I don’t think the time will ever be forgotten, far to big and terrible.
Blessings to you and your staff Easy. No we can never forget the horrible period of time. Earlier this week mom and dad saw the movie Woman in Gold. It was about all the art and heirlooms stolen from the Jewish folks during the in vision of Austria. A true story and excellent acting by Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds.

It is so important to remember. Thanks for reminding us. It is terrible to realize that there is still persecutions and genocides today. It seems that history is doomed to repeat. I wish it were not so.
Sad so sad. Thank you easy for this beautiful remembrance. Bless your kind soul.
Amen Easy. We will always remember. Such a sad time. Your post is a beautiful remembrance.
We is VERY much against what them did to da Jewish hoomans back in those days. We is also against hoomans who denies Holocast. Your elected Purrime Ministerettes of Planet Purrth serving all anipals except snakies says that Holocaust has existed, purriod!
We is also against Le Pen. We no shall ever statevisiting him. And no his daughter either. We hissing at Le Pen!
I agree with you and I’m afraid that so many people voted for the FN…seems they know not what they do… :o(
We has readed that Le Pens has fighted each other. Well, good. The sooner end to FN, the better. FN standing for FISHIES NO. We is against that. We noms fishies!

Such a wonderful rememberance post Easy and we shall join you.
We will light some candles as well.
What a BEAUTIFUL remembrance for such an AWFUL and UGLY time in our world.
THANK YOU, Easy.
Unfortunately, it was only the third worst government sanctioned mass killing of its own. The second was Stalin-see http://stalin.greyfalcon.us/. The conservative 30 million figure included many Jewish people. Although not Jewish, my Dad’s side of the family (all but my great-granddad) that remained in Europe were last seen on a one way train to Siberia. The worst perpetrator of an atrocity of the 20th century was Mao, although not many Jewish people died in that one. See http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/books/news/maos-great-leap-forward-killed-45-million-in-four-years-2081630.html
… and the massacre of Stalin was much more worse than Disney showed in “Fievel the Expat”, there are so many people who disappeared without a trace or who were killed including their families…
Easy, what a great way to remember Yom HaShoah. These millions of souls must be remembered and the whole episode never, ever forgotten. I like your way of honouring the millions, Easy. Unfortunately, these charismatic leaders seem able to gather many peeps to believe in their tyrannical ideals….peeps all of a sudden go stupid. What a horrible waste!!
(((Shoko)))
Oh Easy what a bootyful posty. It’s good to member da past so dat it nevew wepeats. Amen.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Lexi
Very nice of you Easy 🙂 My mother was always so infatuated with the Holocaust. I remember that any time there was some documentary on TV about it, she would be watching it.

Sad stuffs. Beautiful tribute.
Thank you so much Easy & family for your tribute….my paternal Grandparents & my Cousins & my aunt were all killed in Concentration Camps. I never knew Aunty Lily nor my cousins or Grandmother Helene of Grandfather Johann.
Of my Father’s family only he & one nephew survived…..
My Father was haunted his entire life but he was a wonderful Father & provider & friend to me.
I have only 1 photo each of my Grandparents & I look at them daily & wonder what they were like when alive.
The world cannot forget….ever…..
Shalom dear friends, Sherri-Ellen ❤

Easy, you and your family are truly special (((((hugs)))))
Easy that is beautiful..if the world needs reminding about those innocent souls it is truly sad…but the world forgets….we should never forget not only the 6 million Jewish people but the lines of families wiped out totally…nobody to pass on the knowledge the arts the gifts that they had to offer..the world watched and did nothing..the lies the ignorance..sadly the world seems to have forgotten..some people are doomed to repeat these same evil acts..lest we forget….thankyou Easy ..you and mum and Dad are wonderful loving people..the world could do with more souls like you Loves Fozziemum xxx
We remember.
Very loving thing to do Easy.
