Hell……o,
Look what I’ve got:
First there was a card from Sam and his mom in my mailbox, my momma laughed as she read it and she jumped with joy, because it was a card with a weed picture…
Sam is a fabulous standard poodle from Mile High City and I bet he knew that my mom has a special connection to poodles. “I can’t remember the name of the boy, but his poodle was named Oliver”… uh momma… hope you will remember the name of my dad till tomorrow… and mine too…
MANY THANKS!!!!!
…and then I’ve got MY BOOK. BBQ FOR BULLDOGS, what I won at Dakotas Blog. It’s written by Chef Butch Waddles and he knows what guys like me really want…
I read it immediately and to honor my momma, that ole herbivore, I picked Butch’s Perfect-Complement Cole Slaw
Probably our roof will start with a one way ticket to the moon, butt anyway, it’s more than 100 years old…
maybe I can use that recipe for the PHARRRRRRTING COMPAWTITION at Murphy&Stanley? Or do you think that counts as doping?
I will try it. And I can’t wait till my dad buys a new BBQ-thingy and we can cook in my garden… Dad is anyway a Pawsona non grata in the kitchen since, he made BLACK eggs…
MANY THANKS DAKOTA AND BUTCH!
oh and a short pupdate of me and the claw: The claw rests on the desk of my momma till we need it or throw it in the trashcan. My paw looks good, there is no infection or swelling. The new nail is still visible, because it was anyway the claw I hurt some weeks ago, so it was just a question of time, or a question of the box till that ole beast had to go…
You too!
Phew, that’s a relief about your claw Easy, may I say thats a very manly paw you have there!
When I’ve worked out the Eurostar bit I’ll nip over the channel and you can practice you BBQ skills for me!
Loves and lickykisses
Princess Leah xxx
that would be great! sadly they only accept service dogs at that eurostar :o(
That is a score in the post Easy, unlike me. So pleased your paw is better dude. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
Now, when you do get your new bbq, remember to set it up outside… 😉
Glad the claw is on the mend like momma’s hellbow. What great cards- there is still nothing like getting a letter in the mail!
WOW that’s a great looking cookbook Easy – and the “cook” on the front is adorable. My Mom used to have an English bulldog when she was a kid. I had a feeling that claw that popped off was the one you’d hurt “back when”……so now you don’t have to worry about it an have a brand new one coming in! YAY! You and your Mom will be in good shape soon….her brand new retrofitted hellbow and your brand new shiny bright claw!
Hugs, Sammy
you are soooooo dern lucky
I think you get more packages in the mail than I do and I get a lot of stuff! Glad your claw is healing well.
You got lots of good things! I’m glad your paw is recovering.
Tell your dad it takes talent to make black eggs, BOL!!
so will be inviting us all over for lunch when you try out your new cookbook?
of course…. and if he fails, we can make black eggs :o)
Easy good furiends and their peeps make the world go around for sure!! Slaw is a favorite side dish at my house in the spring and summer….mainly because it is served cold. Traditionally in the South there are two ways to make it with either with mayo and seasoning mixed with the shredded cabbage or with vinegar and seasonings, no mayo. Mom was raised on the mayo version, Dad on the vinegar version. We have vinegar 99% of the time now ’cause Mom learned to love it
I’m so glad your nail is coming in nicely.
Hugs madi your bfff
Easy brother I can’t wait for a big BBQ party at you house. Happy to hear and see your shredding paw is doing better.
Blessings,
Goose
Really glad to hear your claw is doing well, Easy! Cole slaw was one of my mom’s favorites too…until her body betrayed her and suddenly became allergic to cabbage! Whose body turns ugly on a vegetable??!!?! My mom wasn’t happy about that…now she wants to try using other veggies to make a slaw. Hmmmmm….
… that’s not easy… but please give me a sign when she found a replacement, maybe then our roof will fly to the moon :o)
Fun stuff in the mail Easy and a claw that is okay… makes for a great Wednesday!
Enjoy your nice presents Easy! Kisses to your paw. Love Dolly
Glad to hear that your paw is ok! The cookbook looks really interesting. Maybe one of these days you’ll do a “Cooking with Easy” post? 🙂
Owie, so glad that paw is healing up and you’ll have to be sure to let us know what you think of the recipes in your new book. If you approve then we’ll have to try some~ Happy WW Easy
what a cool card and congrats on winning that very cool book. I’m so glad your toenail is doing good. Have a wonderful day, I had cabbage pheasant enchilada’s and my roof is still on the house!
Gussie loves a good barbecue…he is all excited about the hoedown in texas coming up…(girls do not read this!!!!) we are glad your claw is growing back. Those were nice surprises.
Stella Rose
More proof you are THE winner. (Snort. We knew that, but how lovely to have a trophy booked.)
Mmmmmm. BBQ. Careful not to get that paw too near the BBQ burner! (Let the humans risk it…they never seem to learn anyway?) Paw waves!
Ouchie. You poor thing brother. That claw thingy just makes me cringe in pain. Hope it gets better soon. And conpigulations on your packages. Mail is so much fun! XOXO – Bacon
Those cookbooks are pretty funny. What a cool card from across the seas
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
You should do the cooking there. If your staff doesn’t injure themselves with the stove, their food will get to all 3 of you.
What a wonderful group of pressies Easy!!! We are so very glad your paw is healing up!
Happy Wordless Wednesday Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Easy being wordless? Never. Always something to say in your world.
Blush, thanks for the mention and link. Happy trails and tails with the cookbook. 🙂 Sam and I are very happy the nail is healing nicely. ❤
Good news about your claw sweet Easy. Hugs and nose kisses
Easy you get so many goodies in the mail, we are quite jealous! Glad that your paw is healing and hope you’ve been well as Mamma refuses to allow me on the computer. xo
EASY we Love your new cookering book…. pawhaps your DAD can try a few recipes from there… while your mom still suffers with her HELLBOW…
We think you should have a SLING fur your No Claw Paw… then you and your mom could look like TWINS…
I guess the black eggs weren’t with truffles? I bet your pawrents could make BBQ in the oven. I do. Americans are so crazy for BBQ they have grills outdoors biggers than the stove!
Nice pressies, Easy! And it was much better for that nail to fall off on its own that to have to have the V.E.T. remove it. Hope the new nail grows in quickly.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
What cool things you get in the mail. We didn’t know about the black eggs…and we’re pretty sure we’re okay with that.
Glad your nail is doing okay.
The Florida Furkids
The BBQ book looks most promising, I must say. That Butch Waddles chappie looks like he knows a thing or two about eating well, for sure.
Toodle,
Bertie.
At least you aren’t suffering from that claw coming off! Yes, it is OK to load your gut for the Pharting contest!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
We’re so glad your paw is OK!
You get so much awesome mail, Easy, we liked that book too. We are thinking about BBQ-ing and cole slaw, but our BBQ is buried in snow……not really….but it might as well be, it’s too cold to cook outside!
What great stuff! We are waiting for it to get warm so we can BBQ, that cook book looks handy – and yes – that is a stuffy pug in the back of mom’s car!
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
Cool stuff Easy! We sure are glad that claw is doing good pal!

What wonderful presents!!!! I’m glad your paw feels better. Our black lab, R, has “split” his nails a few times. Then the vet has to cut off the whole nail. OMD! It takes almost a year for the darn thing to grow all the way back. I hope yours heals fast!
Easy I am so happy the book arrived! Hoping you like it! Be sure to let us know if your Mom makes anything! I am so glad your paw is doing better! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
