… TO SAY: THANK YOU BLOGVILLE
and that means it’s time to say thank you to you all. For being there and for being friends. Real friends, even when an ocean is between us. Or a channel. Or mountains. Or 87 miles and more.
Because to be friends means that no ocean is too deep and no mountain too high and no distance can be too long for a thing called friendship. Because friendship knows no borders or barriers. It’s there, in your heart, wherever you are.
FRIENDSHIP.
It’s sometimes in an unexpected gift you find in the mail after a wild dragon punched some holes in your ham and it encourages you to leave your mommas wardrobe after she stumbled 87 times over your butt like Freddy Frinton in Dinner For One.
It’s in a card what you get when you feel blue. And while you hold it in your hand you feel the good vibrations…
It’s in an e- mail you get when you are down . And it brings your power back with only three words: WE ARE THERE.
It’s in every comment you read under your post.
And it sometimes is in the tastiest dried lamb lungs you get after a mean vet condemned you to eternal damnation a diet …
You can’t see it, butt you can feel it…
– when you laugh together at a funny post or a silly picture
– when you cry together about a loss or a bad thing what happened
– when you solve a teaser or a competition together
– when your friends are still your friends, no matter if you win…or lose (that was HIS fault not mine…just saying)
– and when you are grateful together to know each other.
Like today. I’m grateful to be a citizen of Blogville and I’m grateful that I had the chance to meet YOU.
And I say THANK YOU BLOGVILLE for being there as we were in the sh*t without a paddle and my dad in the hospital, THANK YOU for all your comments, for your good wishes and good thoughts and specially for the magic POTP. Thanks for all your posts and THANKS for your tips, your ideas, recipes and reviews.
Even when the chances are not really good that we meet each other “in the furs” once, it feels as if I would know you for my whole life…. and I have to admit that I’m closer with peeps&pets I never met before than to people who live around me. See, I’ve got 93 comments with good wishes and POTP as my dad became sick…. and guess how many people in my “real” life did or say something? 8 – in words: EIGHT. 8 out of some hundred peeps who live around me. It’s not that they all should come in droves to pamper me and my momma and to dance around us in an endless loup, HELL NO! that would be enormously overdone…. butt that so much people are only busy with their own stuff and give a monkeys fart on the state of their neighbors is a damning indictment of our society… just saying…

…and that means my home is in BLOGVILLE.

Easy I have to say my good and dear friend that Blogville would NOT be anywhere near as much fun as it is with you in it. Your blog is one of the HIGH spots of my day – I always know I’ll be smiling when I read it….although having your Dad in the hospital was not a “smile” but now that he’s home and “repaired”, we’re smiling again for all of you. Note…that link is direct to the problem I was havin’ where Blogger didn’t recognize me and I couldn’t post. However, his blog covers other Live Writer conflicts and Movie Maker problems. My problem was caused by the new 2 step sign in that Google started. My Human never activated it, but it seems she needed to activate it and then make an exception for the programs that were refusing me access.
This might not help you at all since you don’t post on Blogger, but only comment. Just a thought.

What a wonderful post Easy! I missed Thankful Thursday..I missed alot of blogs too but you know I had way over 200 comments on Nylablue’s last post & people personally emailing (your Mom included) to see how I was doing. I still have emails to reply to as there were SO-O many!! The love & support have been amazing & so heart warming. I could not have gotten thru this w/out all of you in Blogville!!!!!
My own family a big fat ZERO! My Sister did not return any of my calls; not even the one where I broke down crying; my Nephew is lost in the ozone or hiding in the dirt….My Niece DID figure out something was wrong & did call me with some sympathy. Then some of my face 2 face friends here said it was good that Nylablue was dead because I made her suffer so much….needless to say I am not speaking to them for the moment. They have never had a 4 legged for a lifetime nor had to help any to Summerland; they are ignorant of what Love is about….
So yes Blogville is my home & all within it are MY family!
