SUNDAY PUPDATE
Just some short informations about our HOUSEPITAL:
I got a bandage on my paw, because I can’t stop to chew and to lick on my ouchie…..
or no… wait…. I have NO longer a bandage on my paw…
The vet said if it is not better till tuesday he will check it again and if it is necessary he will remove that darned dew claw thingy. btw: I found out that Dew means in persian a daemon and DEW is also a manufacturer of scales in germany… there we have it Dew’s are uncool and useless…
My dad feels ok, tomorrow the visiting nurse will come again to remove the catheter (Note to my mom: safe the salad bowls!). Butt this time my dad will not flood his body with the half of an ocean on spec, he will drive immediately to that hospital to drink the 87 buckets of water there. So in case something will happen – or in our case NOT happen – he can send an S.O.S. immediately to a dogtor… or a plumber…
Mom’s hoof is much better, it has some brown and blue spots, butt she can walk like an egyptian again. Her thumb is still hyped up, one false move and she howls like Wile E. Coyote. Butt it goes better day by day…and fortunately the left thumb is anyway useless for digging for gold in your nose…
We are a little nervous for tomorrow, after all that shitty experiences we hope we will be ONE TIME like the gladstone ganter ….

Easy I had a feeling if you had tape on that dew claw of yours it would stay for about 87 seconds before you ripped it off! It looks like it’s still sore and reddish. Purrrrhaps the vet guy will relieve you of it (which won’t be fun but would take away the problem forever!). I have my paws crossed that the removal of the hospital equipment procedure with your Dad at home GOES RIGHT – and that his “waterworks” work! As for your Mom – well – what can I say except hopefully one day soon, your HOUSEpital will just be a HOME!

Oh Easy…you took the mummy bandage off..how can YOU walk like an Egyptian without the bandage? I am hoping the dogtor will take away that troublesome demon scale claw..Doc recovered very well from his op..he had TWO bandages,..bright blue! the vet laughed as he said to us..”take him home and get him to rest’ ..of course he knew with a fox terrier that is an impossible thing..i hope dads waterworks are working well after he has the extra plumbing removed..and I hope mums ankle and thumb keep getting better..you all need some good vibes in your crib! And a beautiful picture and tribute for Nylablue…we are so very sad today…and we send all our love ..love to all Fozziemum xx
that’s our problem too: the rest. the vet said there is no problem to remove that devilish thingies… the only problem is to remove EASY’S dew claws :o( we had a competition last night, by now: 87:0 for Easy uhoh! :o)
Hahaahahaah oh dear……dang..he is a master of disrobing..is there something yukky tasting but safe that could be put on the bandage ? Doc did end up gnawing his blue ones off…eventually…
we used lemonjuice, bitter apple spray and tabasco… and the “best” is, that he even removed the bandage while wearing a loudspeaker…. hope the vet has an idea …or I will make a video and send it to Britains got Talent :o(

Sounds like things are moving along at your house. Since you are so skilled at removing bandages, maybe you can remove your dad’s catheter. I think you can handle the job, E. I am still wearing a dress every day because I can’t stop licking my surgery staples, even though the doctor took them out. I think they taste delicious. Mom threatens to put a cone on my bed, but I am cuter in the dresses.

Easy my friend we didn’t think that bandage would last MOL! Keeping our paws and fingers crossed that your Dad’s ‘pipes’ work like they should this time. Hope that devil dewclaw disappears at the V.E.T. this time so your pain in the foot is gone too. Glad your Mom is healing up after your grand fox hunt. Have a calm Sunday all!

Yea when I saw that photo of you and the bandage I said, “Goose you know that is not going to last long.” And brother I was write.” And might I suggest that if you are going to safe guard the salad bowls that you hide YOUR water and food dish as well. Better safe than sorry. Holding you and your staff up in my prayers.

Crikey Easy ….. you gotta leave that bandage alone, mate?? My Mum put some chilli powder on my bandage when I had a sore foot. She couldn’t believe that I still ate it off.
That chilli stuff sure tastes ok to me.

I know about this irritating thing on your leg! My dew claws have been removed as a puppy but… Something stung me or has bitten me and I licked away like crazy. Guess what my mom bought? Baby socks and at night I had to wear it. First medication that make you forget about the sore and then early morning the sock would still be on. I take it off myself and then lick away. This sock really helped! Hope they get rid of that dew claw, they are useless! Lots of licks, Trompie
Easy you have to let the dew claw heal! We hope everything goes great for your Dad, he needs to get better too (paws crossed).
Oh, Easy, only a WEIMARANER can be so smart and so stupid at the same time!
Please don’t leave the Calgon unguarded, don’t let your dad lick on a lemon or grapefruit or sip some vinegar and drink hot water after it – he might come to the idea of a fatal DIY-project.
BTW: my 75 years old mom told me that when she woke up in the morning, it was as dark as in the salamander’s ass. Where does she pick up such sayings?
We put a sock on our girl Millie when she had an ouchie on her foot. Sealed up with masking tape, it did the trick. Looked horrid after a couple of walks though 😉 That solution would last about 2 seconds with you Easy so ignore 😀 Here’s to salad bowls a plenty and healing all round.

Hello Easy I am finally here to visit…it is now Wednesday. I am hoping your Dad will not flood the house or float down a river when the catheter is removed. Also glad to ehar your Mum is one the mend altho the howling thumb concerns we; I think she might need it splinted.Sounds like she tore all the ligaments. OUCH!
I agree the DEW claws are useless like Human wisdom teeth that only *smart* with pain & no knowledge of any sort!!!
