Hell-o,
I’m back from the vet. The good news is, that I’m in perfect shape and I have 36kg(~79 lbs). Butt the bad news is, that I have a serious inflammation of my ankle joint. During the examination the vet saw that my dew claw is ripped and the area around is red and swollen. According to Sherlock Holmes the suspect stands to reason that I had probably the same bad bed-accident like Stuart the Scottie. That makes sense, because Kyla said I’m a Scottie h.c., so things what happen to Scotties can happen to me too. ARRRRROOOOO!
The vet said I have to rest and to take it easy for 10 days … maaaaan that’s like the whole eternity… I’ve got a cortisone-shot and I have to take a half of the Rimadyl-pills in the evening and in the morning. The vet couldn’t remove or clip the ripped claw, because I acted like a berserk when someone came close to my paw. So we wait till the damaged part grows out. I still feel shitty and I have problems to place a bomb without using all my paws. My mom tried to support me, butt I stopped the process, hey, I’m 5 and I don’t need assistance from my momma for that business… and I have a right to privacy…
Now I lay on my bed and take a rest while my mom searches for a dogtor who prescribes her a rest too….

Easy my brother, dog oh dog is there some angry spirit roaming about your crib?? Do you need me to come by and vanquish the mean “causes everyone pain” spirit. Take advantage of your rest time. This is cause for extra treats and hugs. Of course you may put on a few extra feel better pounds butt that’s OK because it might help keep you down and resting. I’m thinking and sending you and your staff all the best heal thoughts and prayers.

OUCH! I bet that hurts like CRAZY doesn’t it!! I’m so sorry…….you can tell it’s inflamed and I just know that not being able to toss that bomb outside (!) with all four paws operational must be tough. It’s nice your Mom tries to help buttttttt you’re right – some stuff we guys have to do OURSELVES……the pee mail and poop mail are two of those things! Get lotsa rest – take your meds and GET BETTER SOON my good buddy.

Oh sweet boy, I’m sorry that is why I take those darn nails off after birth, they only cause problems. I hope it heals up fast and your back in action. I would of loved to see your mom trying to help you poop! 🙂

Glad nothing is broken.
At least they know what caused it and hopefully in no time you will be feeling better. This is the very reason Mom always makes sure her dogs have the dew claws removed – she went through the scare with a doberman she had once – he tore his dew claw right off – it was terrible.
We sure hope you and everyone in your crib can get some rest and get back to full health soon.

Wah, dearest Easy. Our crazy boy Odin had a similar thing recently and it healed quickly with Vetericyn by CEVA (European co.)
Even the most wonderful blankie gets boring after a while. Not the entertainment any mom wants…you have to give her points for trying to help, but Molly and the German insist there is some dog business that must be done alone.

We’re glad that the dogtur is getting you fixed up and that it wasn’t too serious. But trouble dropping those bombs, What’s a fella to do? Your mom’s gotta give you some privacy. Easy we have been worried about you after reading yesterdays post, butt my moms butthole kindle does not let us write more thatn 5 words at a time and then it changes the spellings etc…anyway we are glad you are better and on drugs, poor mom two sick men in your crib….she may need a very long spa visit when it is all over.

oh Easy my poor buddy. When Mom and Dad had puppies they had that dew claw removed right at birth. It is not necessary and it can easily become damaged, infected when dogs dig etc. Their first Sibe did not have hers removed and she damaged it just as you have. So Mom and Dad had surgery on both her front legs to remove the dew claw. It was more difficult at that age as the claw was already attached to the bone, but Mischa never ever again had to have her paws bandaged because she injured her dew claw. We sure do hope yours feels better fast. Maybe a warm compress and then a cool one will help it feel better??? paw hugs, Savvy and Mom L

Oh, mega ouchie, Easy!!! We think you had best leave the leaves to us and just do some leaf supervising:) We think you should let Mom help you, just so you can really take care of business. She could use a towel or sheet to help make a sling to hold you steady:)
