Hell-O,

As the night came and the woman and Bob went to bed I pondered about a plan to escape from this house before the woman can do the phonecall.
I waited till all people and the dog fell asleep, then I tiptoed to the back door where I saw a dog flap. Unfortunately my nails made some noises on the linoleum and suddenly I saw a shadow on front of me.
Yiikes! The new dog. What will he do? Will he bark and wake his humans? Will he attack me as an intruder? The new dog looked at me and growled: It’s better to run away, dude, I agree. Look on the back side of the house, there the fence is damaged… and with a whispered “Good Luck” the dog went back to his place.
I followed his advice and I found the part of the fence and the way through. And I ran and ran as far as it was possible for my old paws. The wild escape ended on top of a hill where I saw the lights of a town on one side and a dark forest on the other side. What shall I do? Shall I go to this town where a lot of humans live? Some are friendly, of course, but some chase me away and hurt me…. Or shall I pick the way to the forest? Maybe it is possible to live there like my ancestors did once? What is the best for an old guy like me? I sat down and while I watched the lights of the town and listened to the whispering of the trees of the forrest, I made a decision…

BTW:
My dad came home yesterday. Butt sadly he has to go back to the hospital on wednesday/thursday. We hope it’s just that the hospital gets all the equipment back what hangs around everywhere on my dad.
I will write a detailed post about our adventures tomorrow, a lot of things happened during that week. And now I know what hell-week means without entering a college brotherhood… Butt for now we all are happy that we are together. So it’s peace everywhere in my crib….till tomorrow :o)

Easy! Well done on the story – we might be helping out – we told Rocco we could do Day 20 but haven’t heard back yet! Meanwhile the story is getting super interesting isn’t it? BUTTTTTT not nearly as wonderful as knowing that your Dad is finally home. We hope when he goes back to the hospital next week it’s just to check and see if all is well with his surgery AND to take all those tubes and other stuff OUT. Then he can come back home and STAY there!!!!! I know you and your Mom are happy that the DYNAMIC TRIO is back together again……………

So glad to hear from you! We had NO intermutts all morning and then Mom & Dad were gone all afternoon. But now all is right again especially cause your Dad is home.
