Hell-o…
.
.
it’s still WALKING WEEK hosted by MYGBGVLIFE and CASCADIANNOMADS and if you are out and about for a walk, the most important thing (except to place a mine and to write some pee-mails) is : to get a SOUVENIR.
.
.
A souvenir is the proof that you really were on a special place and it has the same purpose as the rear mirror of a car what proves that you really sit in your ride. It can be food or a toy or a thingy, called regional (F)art what says “Greetings from Absurdistan”… whatever it is, grab it and bring it home.
.
.
Today I visited the settling basin where 87 ducks swam around. Not only wild ducks, also domestic ducks who wouldn’t wait till they end as a roast or a pillow and therefore they decided to seek refuge in flight… Freedom for Donald&Daisy, YAY!
I found a trashure at the basin, it’s a rotten ole feather what was white once… Heck! MOM! … that’s no reason to scream UUUUAAARRRKKKSSSS! and to throw it in the garbage!
.
.
Butt anyway there is another trashure I found and it is a sweet chestnut. I totally like it, you can roast and eat the brown boogers what are inside, you can use it as a weapon when you place it in the bed of your staff or you can throw it around while making weird noises when the spiky prickles meet your nose….
.
.
and it’s a souvenir for the whole family…. it keeps my mom busy when she has to remove a gazillion of prickles from my paws…
.
.
and if I look closely on that thingy it seems the other male in the house could use it as a ding-dong replacement, when he could make of his mind for the suggestion we got from a dog whis-pee-rer: there is only place for ONE hob in the house or it will be a rat race furever and ever…. thanks Overlook Twins, now look for a ghost whis-pee-rer…
.
.
…. no wonder that my dad never visited that dog whis-pee-rer again, huh?
.
.
HAVE A SUPER THURSDAY ALL!
I always like when I see a white duck among the mallards- and think they got free from the farm 🙂 I hope their new friends are nice to them even though they look different. Those chestnuts look too prickly!!
We must go out and search for some chestnuts afterall tis the season. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Ooooo I like feather treasures. Can’t understand why you mom would throw it away. What’s up with that? Butt that prickly dig-a-lingy thingy looks painful. That would be a most painful party in my dads pants. BUTT what a great dance he would do. hehehhe
Blessings,
Goose
Easy I think those little green spikey dudes look a lot like baby hedgehogs! Be careful that you don’t get those thingies stuck in your paws (or your nose)…..as for in your Dad’s pants – I’m with Goose on that – I imagine our Dads would do a VERY interesting dance if they had those chestNUTS in their pants! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hugs, Sammy
WOW – Now those are amazing finds my friend. I need to go in my magical backyard before it gets too cold with the winter season. I need to check on my unicorn and Bigfoot… if I can find them. You know what they say, “Often talked about but never seen”. Snorticles. XOXO – Bacon
feather treasures are certainly the best …not sure about the chestnuts though a little too prickly
Love your FALL-ISH new header Easy……I think instead of you pushing that wagon you should be IN the wagon with your chauffeur pulling you!
Hugs, Sam
All our dogs bring back from walks is mud and weeds 😦 Feathers and chestnuts are so much more interesting 🙂
Ew I bet those spikey things hurt your paw when you steps on them…we nevers has brought any prizes home from our walks, we are just glad mom finds her way back each time…..
stella rose
That surely is a treasure Easy – I agree a walk is never complete without a special discovery.
Great treasures Easy but those chestnuts look like they would bite back!
I don’t collect souvenirs of places I’ve been. I leave treasures there to prove I was there. Only another canine can tell that they’re from me-humans think they all stink, no matter the source.
Like Jacques Cousteau you are excellent at finding hidden treasure.
Loving the Fall header Easy! The feather was pretty and the prickly chestnuts are very cool in their own way! I have never seen prickly chestnuts. I am thinking you could not roast them.. hmmm.
Sorry that you your mom TRASHED… your TREASURE… 87 ducks???? WOW We would have loved seeing those.
We think that PRICKLEY Chestnut is sort of a dangerous thingy…
Oh Easy sowwy yous mommy fwu yous souvenir away. Dat just wusn’t vewy nice of hers at all, wuz it?. MOL Glad yous had a good time tho’.
Luv ya’
Dezi
I love bringing souveniers of where I’ve been inside so mom can see them. It’s great fun. Those green caterpillar thingies look dangerous….be careful Easy.
(((Shoko)))
Hell-O Easy…OMDs feathers were flying here yesterday and so was my fur (almost).
Mom was cooking supper and I was munching on my kibble when all of a sudden
B A N G something hit our dining room window. It was a crazed morning dove. Not to worry they have tiny heads so no brain injury for the bird brain. But boy did mom and I jump about 2′ off the floor.
Hugs madi your bfff
Hope you’ re Thursday has been good!!! I have been cooking critter food and making salads and pesto and tomato sauce!!!
Another great walk Easy
Those prickly things are always getting stuck in my fur, but I’m a girl and don’t need a replacement set of those special parts, so I don’t want them in my fur. Bailie and I like to collect a treasure on our walks too. We always carry our finds proudly all the way home.
You had a great adventure on your walk, E. I guess prickly spikes in your paws are sort of like a souvenir. I tried to bring home a chicken bone from the ground at the park today, but Mom said the word, “Don’t you dare.”
Love and licks,
Cupcake
WE have birds in the tree in our yard. They leave feathers and other presents too if you know what we mean
hugs
Mr Bailey & Hazel
Oh, those pricklers don’t look like a lot of fun for you or for Mom. Our Mom worries when we find black walnuts that the squirrels bury in our yard because they can have a mold on them that is bad for us. Luckily they are few and far between.
Nice walk, Easy.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Doesn’t your mother know you need to keep those treasures as PROOF you went on your walk? Sheba has long fur and she just collects things along the way, very sneakily, so the Momz doesn’t even see it until we get home!
Yeah! It’s walk your dog week…sweet!
Maybe we will find such nice treasures too.
Wyatt and Stanzie
Easy, you kill me 🙂
Those things look painful!
87 ducks? Our kind of place!
Oh Easy, those prickles must have been very ‘ouchie’…hope you survived! I also cannot thank you enough for helping me launch my redo on my blog. Easy you and your humans have been such great friends, I can only tell you I am trying very very hard to be a better pal for you. paw pats, Savvy
Crikey Easy ….. I got a treasure at the beach today but my Mum took it from me and buried it. She didn’t even take a photo. It was a dead puffer fish and it smelled real good. I rolled on i,t big time, before old spoil sport grabbed it from me.
The feather is nice, butt wouldn’t it be better to have a whole feathered friend to love and lick and cuddle and hug and uh-oh. Maybe not!
Your mom should appreciate your modesty. You could have a whole duck in your mouth.
How fun to find treasures on your walk.
Millie & Walter
Things like that get stuck in my fur and the bipeds complain about getting them out!
At our house, it’s walk your dog week EVERY week (twice a day in fact) . 🙂
I won’t let Sam near spiky things–they mat like crazy in his soft dandelion-like hair that already acts like Velcro with every little blade of grass, twig, etc. anyway. Sure as heck don’t need one of those to catch on the ole whiskers!
ROFWL>>>>>oh Easy yer so funny!!! Maybee we shuud send ya sum nice n cleen Pidjun n Phezzant feeverz??? Den yer Mum not lose da plot n beecome highsterical….
As fer da chessnutz; me got da weeklee shower when Mum spitted her tea all over me lookin at da dingledonglez, MOL!!!
Phankz fer da weeklee tea shower Easy; me feelz MUCH bettur now!
Lub ❤ Nylablue ❤
Are those chestnut balls?
What loot!! Easy… we need to pop out and look for the conkers too, they supposedly keep spiders away! Whenever we are on a walk in the Autumn, Millie always beings enough treasure back for everybody. All those fallen leaves get stuck in her fur!!
Hugs, Carrie and Pups x
That is a great walk and cool treasures. I saw one of those sweet chestnuts on my trip to england, it was really cool. I like the nut warmer job of it! Gambler needs that.
