Oz, the terrier who makes the fabulousestest and funiestest Limericks is the host of a contest by ZUKE’S .
It’s a #FuelTheCure Contest and Fundraiser to help raise money for The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund, an organization dedicated to the understanding, treatment and prevention of canine and feline cancer.

How to join: (courtesy of Oz):

Write a short #FuelTheCure blog post
Include a photo of yourself (if you are a dog) or your dog LOVING LIFE in your post
Join the hop on any day starting on Tuesday, June 24 through Saturday, June 28  (when you link to the hop, in the “Name Required” field please put your name or blog name and either US, UK, CA as this will help determine your contest entry – ex.  “Oz the Terrier US”)
#FuelTheCure Contest and Fundraiser
Tuesday, June 24 through Saturday, June 28
Every entry is a $5 donation to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund

Each entry will also be entered into Oz’s very own contest to win some Zuke’s treats from his own stash.

If you have the time, please join the hop. Cancer can happen to all and it’s one of the most important things to find a cure.

We lost two of our dogs to the BIG BAD C,

Terry, the Fox Terrier in 2005 ( mammal cancer) and Frosty, the Husky in 2009 (cancer of anal glands )

It still hurts, some things even the time can’t heal. And the worst was to be helpless and clueless at the end. When all things are done and when all are on the end of wisdom, that’s a darned bad feeling. So, I think it’s a good thing to write a post what helps to beat the big bad C.
Here is my entry for DOGS LOVING LIFE:

  1. Easy my pal what a GREAT cause and contest…..I think you look like you are DEFINITELY loving life (and yogurt) and I’m always sad when I think about how many humans AND animals die from the BIG C. It takes everything and leaves tears behind that’s for sure. We’re sad for the losses your family has had. Here’s to a successful fundraiser!

    Hugs, Sammy

    • it was ice cream :o) (from sicily by al clawpone). I hope we will find a cure for all, it’s the worst thing on earth and it destroyed so much lifes. we can enter the moon and we can water the deserts, so I hope we will find a cure too.

  2. Great cause to support Easy – it does seem extraordinary that a cure hasn’t been found yet considering the huge steps forward in so many other areas of science.

  3. fozziemum says:

Such a great cause indeed sweet Easy..too many unknowns in the area of medicine and how we can fly to the moon and dive to the depths indeed and still not have a cure for this hideous disease is a mystery…robs everyone left behind of everything ..goodluck sweet Easy and hope all can enter to help Hugs and loves Fozziemum…pee ess nice ice cream 🙂 yummy xxx

  4. we have our pot ready to go – Mom knows she been so lucky – she has had doggies in her life over 50 years now and only has had one that got cancer and he was the only one that didn’t live to a a very old age.

    • I’m glad there was only one dog and your mom had to go through this only one time. Let’s cross our paws that we will stay healthy all. And that we find a treatment that we get a good chance to survive.

  5. We wish there was more research being done for dog and kitty cancer. We lost our woofie Angel Clifford and our sisfur Angel Sniffie to the evil c.

Lots of Blogville friends have been stricken by it over the years and it is always sad.
    Hugs madi your bfff

    • Thanks Madi. We heard and read so much posts about friends who had or have to bear the big C. I hope we will find a cure soon… and maybe this posts will help a little that they can find a treatment…

  7. Goose says:

This is a most important cause. Those are great photos of you enjoying life. I will get on my MOM to join in, because I do enjoy life and I want to see the C gone forever.

  8. So very sorry for the loss of your 2 dear furbabies. The big C sucks and even know time as passed I know you still feel the pain and hope that doing something to help fight this nasty battle will keep you at peace. Easy, my gang LOVES ice cream and is loving life as much as you are when they eat it! Keep loving life!

  9. PigLove says:

  10. Oh Easy, thank you so much for joining in the hop and fundraiser. I always knew you were a good silvermistygreypup! I’m so sorry your family lost those two lovely doggies to the Big C. I sure hope that someday SOON they will find a cure so no other dog or cat must suffer.

  11. Frankie and Ernie says:

Thanks fur putting this information up. SOME of us are having trouble getting to blogs right now…. Blogger is being MEAN….

  12. Thanks for letting me know about this Hop Easy. We lost our sister Becca to cancer a couple of years ago, so we’ll be happy to Hop in!

  13. Awww great cause Easy. Sorry about Terry and Frosty. We lost one of our kitties, Holly, to cancer. Ice Cream out of a pink cup!!!!!

    • yes it’s from Al Clawpone made in Sicily and I bet they use magic substances, because you can’t stop eating till the cup is empty :o) Cancer is an evil thingy and I wish we can beat it soon.

  14. We lost our big Bouvier to cancer. I suspect it was caused/triggered by lawn chemical company who was careless when treating the lawn next door when windy. (Despite my requests). We stopped using any yard pesticides and think they should be banned in neighborhoods.
Had to stop my neighbor last week from spraying mildew retardant (poison) on our mutual fence – spray comes through the crack between boards and the wind blows it. She hadn’t even thought about what it was.
People need to wake up – the easy way is often the dangerous way
Great cause. Cancer research for animals also benefits research for people, too. Well worth supporting, Easy.
    Thanks for much for sharing

    • I agree with you, it’s proven that people got cancer after being contaminated by pesticides a big agricultural cooperative sprayed via small planes. Think some people should think twice before they use pesticides, the name says it all… and there are other ways to get “the perfect lawn”

    Bailey, Hazel & Greta

    • thanks and many thanks for the pug-hugs! The have magic power! I’m sure we will find the reason why we can get cancer and then we will find a cure or how we can chase it away furever.

  18. Will and Eko says:

Right there with you, jaw cancer took my pup Blitzen. It’s certainly a reminder to love life as you have so well done!

  19. Wonderful for Zukes to do this. It is amazing that cancer has not been cured with all the research done. Hopefully very soon it will happen!
